huffpot I'm so sorry. There really are no words. As others have said, if you want to come here to talk about your baby, you really must. I hope you're being looked after well.

Thinkingof4 · 28/02/2013 15:35

huffpot I'm really sorry to hear that, must be devastating for you. Come back and post as often as you need x

Thinkingof4 · 28/02/2013 15:41

So I spoke to soon about feeling better. I was back to 50% normal last night then out of nowhere spent the whole of last night up with d&v again. I felt bad enough to go to GP today who has given me antisickness meds and 24 hours to improve or I'll need admission Sad
I do feel a bit better with the meds on board and trying to drink as much as possible. Fx this will work!
Luckily dh is much better and has been tidying and cleaning house like a demon which helps us all feel a bit better

Hope everyone else is improving

dinkystinky · 28/02/2013 15:48

Fingers corssed the meds work Thinking - sounds like a horrible bug you've got!

Huffpot I am so sorry to hear your news, and for your loss. How incredibly sad; I hope you are being looked after well. Thinking of you.

MightBeMad · 28/02/2013 17:42

Oh poor you thinking. Fingers crossed the meds and fluids will be enough to allow your system to kick the bug.

Still feeling rotten here too. Have not slept more than 30 min at a time for 4 nights. Training for baby's arrival?!?!! Would love to go back to gp but not sure what they could do for me.

19+2 (scan in 4 days - Yey!)

SlouchingPanda · 28/02/2013 18:18

Hope all the sickies are feeling better soon too. I am ruined today, but it is work-related after a horrid 12h nightshift last night. I am aching all over, and standing for a 4h theatre case gave me some attractive swollen ankles so I've swiped some compression stockings for tonight. Only one more to go though then a lovely relaxing weekend planned.

Dinky I will watch your tights thread with interest. I have H&M but spent a day of misery with the crotch round my knees (when I'd managed to put them the right way round!). Was hoping that they will stay up when I have more of a bump.

21+0 - another week over!

SundaySunshine · 28/02/2013 18:24

dinky I've been in H&M tights all day and found them really comfy, though you do have to be careful to get them round the right way!

SundaySunshine · 28/02/2013 18:27

Oh, and my bump is rather massive which probably helps!

SlouchingPanda · 28/02/2013 18:27

PS Vinegar I am in awe of your impressive cycling efforts. I went pot a pootle the other day and any sort of hill nearly killed me. Could barely even walk up one of them...

AmaDablam · 28/02/2013 18:49

thinking poor you, that sounds really awful. Hope the meds work and you don't end up having to be admitted. Yay for lovely DH's who do their bit around the house - I'm lucky to have one of those too...

I'm sure it's nothing compared to your stomach troubles Thinking, but I'm still plagued by indigestion type pains, which also had me up in the night. It's been a bit better today - more discomfort than pain I would say - but I feel really bloated and have a weird full and heavy feeling in my bump and a dragging sort of sensation whenever I stand up. Most of what I've read on google tells me it's probably nothing to worry about and I feel a bit silly calling the MW to say I have what is basically a bit of a tummy ache, but I do wish it would go away! On the plus side, baby still seems to be kicking away, although it's hard to tell sometimes with all the gurgling and popping that's going on in there!

Dinky and Slouching re. tights, I got mine from Boots and have got on quite well with them. The gusset does sit a little low, but not enough to be a real pain and I'm hoping this will get better as my bump gets bigger.

Thinking of Huffpot today and hoping your getting lots of TLC....

BB01 · 28/02/2013 19:38

Huffpot, am so sorry to hear this and can't imagine what you're going through. Just evhoing what others say but do hope you feel able to come back and share anything you would like to xx

BB01 · 28/02/2013 19:41

Hope all those who aren't feeling too well feel better soon. Think I've been very lucky so far but really struggle still to do anything but sleep or lie down once I get in from work!

Congratulations to all those who've had good scans and hope all those with any worries get the reassurance they need. Afraid I am struggling to scroll down to get the names I have forgotten!

MrsRoss26 · 28/02/2013 20:04

huffpot I wanted to add my sympathies, I hope you get all the help and support you need on the coming days and weeks. Please do come back and tell us about your little one if you would like to Thanks

Cutandstick · 28/02/2013 20:36

I hope the anti sickness are working thinking.
On the tights issue - pants on the outside superhero style! (On the inside too!) it's the answer!

BadMissM · 28/02/2013 21:29

These from Amazon- Marilyn Mama from Poland...they're brilliant!

MarieKL · 28/02/2013 21:49

I hope everyone feeling poorly is feeling better soon, and Thinking I hope the medicines work and you don't have to be admitted.

I'm in awe of everyone still exercising. Would love to just fit in some walking everyday but combination of job and dark evenings is making it hard.

I'd second Ama on the boots tights recommendations. Very comfortable, though not entirely cat paw proof! Not sure about the superhero style - have enough problems getting various layers back in place after a trip to the ladies as it is at the moment, especially my stretchy mat skirt which keeps ending up upside down Smile

My DH and I are off to Edinburgh this weekend whilst the in laws look
after DS. Can't wait, though I have a job interview on Monday which isn't ideal!

Lovely to hear of everyone's good scans. I hope all those still waiting for their second scans don't have to wait too long.

trustissues75 · 01/03/2013 00:02

Hello all...not been around much but just thought I'd pop on and say we had our 20 week scan last Friday and we're having a Rachael Louisa!!!! I'm so flipping happy and everything looked great on the scan.

trustissues75 · 01/03/2013 00:05

oh, huffpot...I'm so very sorry about your news. Thinking about you.

TotallyEggFlipped · 01/03/2013 06:18

Scan today. A bit nervous. I slept really badly last night. Kept having weird, slightly disturbing and random dreams and waking up. Exhausted now. Hoping for an easy day at work.
At least it's almost the weekend. Smile

AmaDablam · 01/03/2013 06:34

Lots of luck today Totally. I'm with you on the disturbed sleep and weird/bad dreams. I have my scan on Monday and starting to get really nervous too. I feel worse about this one than I did about the 12 week! I think because my 1st trimester symptoms were so textbook, it gave me encouragement that, if my body was doing what it "should" be, then so too would the baby. Now all I have is a miniscule bump that doesn't seem to be getting any bigger, lots of gas and serious self doubt that the "movements" I thought I'd been feeling the past couple of weeks were anything but a windy tummy! It's going to be a long weekend, I think, and for once, not in a good way!

Hope poorly people are feeling better today and have a good Friday everyone...

Huffpot so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are being looked after.

Thank you very much to everyone who has commented recently on when you are planning to go on mat leave. I think I'm going to go for 37 weeks with the understanding that I can bring it forward if I need to (I had an informal chat with the head about this)

I have just been catching up on the thread during a bit of a lie in. It's been a busy week this week with patents evenings and book fairs with a couple of 15 hour days added into the mix... Just have to get through today but am feeling very tired...

I hope everyone has good fridays- nearly the weekend!

Cheeseandbread · 01/03/2013 07:18

totally good luck for your scan today. And I forgot to congratulate others who had good scans so 'yea' to all of you!

Ama I am with you on the worrying- I don't think it would be normal if we weren't. Good luck for Monday!

dinkystinky · 01/03/2013 07:38

Hope the scan goes well Totally and congrats on good scan and girl Trust.

Cheese - sounds like a good mat leave plan.
