Oh flying how awful, I'm so sorry. Look after yourself, I hope you have plenty of RL support?

elliejjtiny · 22/02/2013 17:53

So sorry flying. If you want to share any details, photos etc of your baby then please do. I remember after my miscarriage wanting to show off my scan photo and talk about how long the baby was and how I thought he looked like DS2 but people said I shouldn't because it was weird. So not being nosy but if you want to talk about your little one I'm happy to listen.

VinegarDrinker · 22/02/2013 17:59

Absolutely what ellie said. Talk to us as much as you want or need to.

elliejjtiny · 22/02/2013 18:05

I've started a baby weight list so we can compare how heavy our babies are at the 20 week scans/growth scand etc to how heavy they are at birth. Thought it might be interesting to see if the heaviest baby now is still the heaviest in July. I did this with DS2 on another forum comparing weight at birth to weight at 1 year and there were quite a few changes. I'm also looking for reassurance that mine isn't the biggest Grin. I'm always a bit scared that I'll end up with a massive one even though I've birthed 3 nearly 9lb babies without any problems.

cheekbyjowl · 22/02/2013 18:09

flying you're probably not checking this any longer but there are many willing ears if you want someone to chat too but I hope you have plenty of support at home too

Stay strong. There'll be another time for you. X

Devilforasideboard · 22/02/2013 18:28

ellie I had my scan today but they didn't tell me the weight. I've got another one in a couple of months so I'll make sure I ask then.

All was well at my scan and mini Devil is very definitely a little boy Smile We were going to find out anyway but I spotted something that clearly wasn't the cord at the start and the sonographer confirmed it at the end. I'm a bit surprised as I really thought it was a girl but very happy and DH is over the moon and looking at Scalextric sets already Hmm

dinkystinky · 22/02/2013 19:03

No idea re weight of the bean Ellie - they didn't tell me at 20 week scan

Belated welcome Butterflies - add yourself and your due date to the list on the waddlers and riders thread (link on second post from the top). paolocee and his dp are expecting twins too.

flying I'm so sorry to hear your news, bless your precious angel who will always be loved and never forgotten. xx

flyingsprocket · 23/02/2013 06:55

Hi ladies, thanks so much for your kind words. I've been awake since 0400 in a bit of discomfort but mostly because my mind is racing.

I had my sister with me in hospital as, unfortunately, my OH was on a flight 9 hours in the wrong direction (we're both pilots) He was able turn around & come straight home so he was with me at 1000 yesterday. Poor guy was just shattered. In a way it's a good thing he didn't see the delivery because I'm just playing it over & over in my mind.

Having had such prolonged bleeding the MC didn't come as a huge shock but it's obviously devastating nonetheless. Overall we're optimistic & are looking after eachother.

I have a friend who is due her 1st in July so I'll be living vicariously through her in the summer & thinking of you all too xx
