Ok not list removals noted.

Ouch pinky are you painkillers up as much as you can be?

I had a bit of a meltdown today but after a row then chat with MSB we are ok. He's going to have Faithlet for a while tomorrow so I get some time out. I also had a bath for the first time in weeks. Lush! :)

pinkr · 15/06/2013 01:28

Yeah all the paracetamol I can take! Had a rare cry on Mr df when I got home..actually think it was a bit of shock as my legs gave way when I first tried to get up.
That's good you're getting some you time faith...I think men probably just don't fully get it sometimes and need gentle reminding Grin

HadALittleFaithBaby · 15/06/2013 08:21

pink if its bad you could take co-codamol for a day or two. Take the edge off.

jeffers how you doing?

Any signs of Nokkie venturing in?

pinkr · 15/06/2013 10:57

Tis quiet round here! I'm ok at the min as the stitches are on the gun so not moving etc....soft food all round! I'm still waiting on my anniversary dinner bit we've now decided that we're having a night in York and one in Northumbria on the way down so we'll eat and enjoy then!

FriendofDorothy · 19/06/2013 10:35

Very quiet in here innit?

This week I have discovered that being ill with a baby is hard and preparing to go back to work is hard Hmm

pinkr · 19/06/2013 21:17

Oh dor hope you're feeling better. Can't believe that's six months either....I can't believe I'm stopping work next thurs. Kudos to anyone who works anywhere near due date...at the moment I alternate between sitting at my desk, nearly sleeping, or ending round the classroom and sitting on a kids desk nearly sleeping. I feel fine and can do aqua classes etc but I really am finding work hard going..

pinkr · 20/06/2013 14:57

Well the dental saga continues...apparently I now have an agonising condition called dry socket which seems to be inflammation down to the bone...cue removal of stitches, flushing and packing all without pain relief...to say I was writhing around would be an understatement. I'm getting very ducking depressed with all this ..

MsJupiterJones · 22/06/2013 16:29

You poor thing pinkr. Teeth are the fucking pits. I kept forgetting to clean my teeth after L was born (Blush in my defence the days and nights were v confused!) and got an abscess when he was 3wks old, no fun at all. Many sympathies to you Thanks

We need evolution to come up with a better solution fast!

pinkr · 22/06/2013 18:22

Thanks! Still ongoing...apparently it could take Weeks for the hole to close but I'm hoping not! teeth suck Haha

pinkr · 26/06/2013 21:56

Quiet round here! Ho hum!

fertilityFTW · 28/06/2013 11:06

I lost this thread Blush - does seem quiet though...

Read this the other day - what do we think? I have to admit I thought those stats were legit.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 28/06/2013 17:01

Hello PESH Grin

Just marking my place until I feel brave enough to settle in!

pinkr · 28/06/2013 17:47

Oh frank so very glad to see you! I haven't been lurking on the besh for a while so i've obviously missed news! !

FriendofDorothy · 28/06/2013 17:53

Franks lovely to see you here :)

Pop in whenever you feel ready x

MsJupiterJones · 28/06/2013 20:49

Well done Frank! Many congratulations.

It always amazes me how articles on fertility seem to think women are solely responsible for having babies. Like that recent Kate Garraway shit.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 28/06/2013 20:54

Quick question for you PESH: I went to my GP surgery during lunch to ask about when I should make a booking an appointment. They told me they don't handle them anymore and I need to contact the midwife unit direct. Is that normal nowadays?

They gave me the details plus one of those Bounty Packs with my forms to fill in, so I'll have a look at those. Is the Bounty thing worth signing up for, or is it an excuse to send me tons of junk emails?

MsJupiterJones · 28/06/2013 22:05

It varies but calling the mw unit direct is often more reliable - my sister chased her appt up at 12 wks and found they had no record of her.

Bounty is not v popular on MN and the packs are not that amazing but worth it for the mini sudocrem IMHO. Just be careful to tick the boxes about not wanting info passed on. I have a separate email add for mailing lists, it used to be full of theatre stuff but is now mostly nappies and small shoes.

FriendofDorothy · 28/06/2013 22:06

I have no idea Franks - things are done really differently in Guernsey. Hopefully someone will be along soon to help you out.

Did you work out when you reckon your due date will be?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 28/06/2013 22:08

I've seen the stuff about Bounty in post-natal wards and it is very off putting. I shall ponder on that one.

According to FF my due date is 4th March.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 30/06/2013 19:14

Ok PESH, so much for the lurking! Is it normal for tiredness to be kicking in this early? I am knackered today - had a good 9 hours sleep last night but am knackered today, plus I've got next to no appetite - not sick, just not hungry.

FriendofDorothy · 30/06/2013 23:05

Perfectly normal. I slept forever I. The early stages if my pregnancy.

pinkr · 01/07/2013 07:51

Yeah that's exactly how I felt at xmas...we were staying at the inlaws and I was heading to bed earlier each night. I wasn't sick then bit I really didn't fancy any food...Mr df would cook something after I said I'd like it and by the time it arrived I couldn't touch it!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 01/07/2013 07:59

Thanks PESH, I was starting to think I was going a bit mad. Particularly when HWHNN said "It's a bit early on, are you sure you are not imagining it?" Hmm

Is there a list anywhere (barring the OP) so I know when everyone is due? Won't be adding myself just yet though.

MsJupiterJones · 01/07/2013 08:53

First trimester is hardest in many ways; you feel tired and sick but no bump and no-one knows so you feel it's unjustified. But your body is doing amazing things in there and your hormones are going crazy.

I imagine after the build up you are probably quite emotionally exhausted too. Just go easy on yourself and take as much rest as you can.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 03/07/2013 07:08

Ooo it is quiet round these parts!

So PESH, talk to me about symptoms - what did you get and when? I seem to now be suffering from a total lack of anything, even the tiredness seems to have left the building. I know I should be grateful, but hey I'm a worrier!
