Anyone else considering the move into maternity wear already? I just feel so bloated and fat. Wasn't in maternity wear until towards the end of my second trimester last time. Maybe I've just been more of a pig!

KamikazeeKid · 16/02/2013 19:35

Regarding eyebrow tints....I couldn't find any proper info on it other than that the dye used can really vary in strength but its on for such a short time I'm not sure it should be a concern. I went last week and opted for a wax and shape only....

I'm sure it will be fine and I'll ask her once I've announced my news! Couldn't ask as shes a friends mum..

I have found this time round that my skins really sensitive and didnt like being waxed or buffed as usual.

Don't worry frogchops I am nearly 11 weeks and think I only saw it last week and sometimes it's more visible than others - a lot depends on how bloated you are / constipated etc. - it's just I was surprised to see two slight curves - e.g. where your belly normally just does one smooth curve, since last week I've noticed another small curve at the base above the pubic bone. Wait a week and then turn sideways and look at the line of the curve and see if there is any change....but I'm sure nothing to worry about in any case - I haven't even heard a heartbeat yet - sigh.

How many of us are still waiting for their first scan???

Whyriskit · 16/02/2013 19:39

Hi pinkbump. My lmp was 1st Dec and due date is 10th Sept. Definitely getting stretching pains and twinges, especially if I turn over in bed too quickly.

jennimoo · 16/02/2013 19:51

Maternity clothes here, but am 12+5... Was just too uncomfortable and digging in in normal clothes.

HettySunshine · 16/02/2013 20:01

Maternity clothes here too. I bought some trousers for work from Mothercare today as I have been sitting at my desk with both buttons and half the zip undone for the last week. Also dp's cousin has a 5 month old and is bagging her stuff up for me. We're going to get it tomorrow.

No date for my scan yet but I have my booking in on Monday so hopefully will get one then.

BinarySolo · 16/02/2013 20:05

I'm 11 weeks today. Still fit in my normal clothes but I just feel so bloated that I'm considering switching to something stretchy and comfy. The scan's on Wednesday so will find out if its twins or one plus foodbaby!

Creamtea1 · 16/02/2013 20:15

11+2 and definetly got a tummy, which is 100% worse in the evenings. Pretty sure is still poo/bloat/crumpet! After some recent analysis it appears I am doing one weekly 2lb Monday morning poo (now there's tmi for you :) ) so I'm looking ok mon-thurs morning and then thurs night onwards the poo bloat kicks in! Lovely Grin

jennimoo · 16/02/2013 20:27

I'm feeling soooo good this evening. I think my sickness is really reducing this week, but the coldy / fluey bug I have has been distracting me too much. I ate lots of pizza for dinner and yet don't feel dreadful! Only been 6 weeks of feeling dreadful...

Pinkbump3 · 16/02/2013 21:04

Thanks badguider, andadietandcoke & whyriskit it's good to know that's others at same stages are feeling similar twinges. My cycle is anything from 28-35 days just hoping I get to see MW soon and get a dating scan feel in limbo when I've not seen MW yet. Really fretting and that's a first for me.

Pinkbump3 · 16/02/2013 21:17

Jennimoo I'm loaded with flu bug and my sickness has been better the last 2 days have been able to eat also for the first time in weeks very strange..

SGJ · 16/02/2013 22:13

Jenni, when I had a cold my pg symptoms lessened. Nice respite!
I'm not in maternity clothes yet but looking forward to stretchy trousers once we've told the world! The zips are starting to strain a bit!

A tmi question for all of you randy ladies - can you feel your uterus when 'in flagrante'?!? I vaguely remember this from last time, before you get enough of a baby bump for it to be obviously in the way, but not enough to be visible, there's quite the weird sensation... or is this only me???? Definitely tmi!!

badguider · 16/02/2013 22:15

I haven't considered maternity clothes yet but have just ordered my first substantially bigger bra. Till now I've been in my larger plain ones ok but grew out of anything fancy or half cup weeks ago.
Clothes wise I'm too fat for my skinny trousers but ok in anything with a belt if I let it out a couple of notches. Need to try my sallopettes tomorrow - really don't want to have to buy new ones!!

KamikazeeKid · 16/02/2013 22:29

Anyone else got their scan this Friday? Im on countdown now!

Some days I have a low bump some I dont....I can feel my uterus now its higher but its pushing out my attractive c section overhang!!

andadietcoke · 16/02/2013 22:41

Mine's two weeks on Friday. Feels like such a long way away. Have my first consultant appt on Tuesday though. Had another hospital appt through today as well - I have to go and see the anaesthetist?!

kk my fat girl's apron is doing the same. Attractive.

Dorita75 · 17/02/2013 07:40

Mine's a week on Friday, will be first scan.

10+2 today, nausea easing, boobs slightly less sore, more of a poking out uterus... Is the 'blooming' phase in sight, is it?!

Eeeknumber3 · 17/02/2013 08:17

OMG, exhausted. The whole hen night experience has done me in. God knows how, but managed to make 1.45am on Friday night, had no alcohol at all, none of the others bothered with food. Fortunately we were next door to a tesco express in apartments, so I went and got 2 meal deals. I managed to do primarni and lunch etc on Saturday after getiing up at 8am! Then last night as we were getting ready to go out, I just lost the will to carry on. My best friend, hen, was fine and sent me home on 7.30pm train, so was home for 9pm! So glad, just looked at Facebook and they were still out at 5am! Urgh...need to sleep for days, but pleased with my efforts!

WaggyBlueElf · 17/02/2013 08:23

Hi ladies, mind if I join you? I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my first, scan a week on Tues and EDD 1st Sept.

I found out yesterday that one of my bestest friends is also pregnant and due a few days before me! It's her second so very much looking forward to benefiting from her advice, especially as we'll be going through everything more or less together. Grin

I'm also looking forward to the 'blooming' stage - I'm getting a bit tired of being spotty and sicky with hair that needs washing every couple of hours instead of every couple of days.

KamikazeeKid · 17/02/2013 08:29

Welcome waggy!

So the dating scan shows my new due date to be aug 25! Chuffed that I was a bit further gone than I thought I was Smile

Babyboo79 · 17/02/2013 09:05

Congrats waggy.

I went bra hunting yesterday to get some bigger non-wired bras. It was all a bit disappointing but finally managed to find a 32DD that wasn't completely awful in m&s. They don't seem to make a 32 in a bigger cup size so lets hope they don't get much bigger!

Off for a private early scan this morning in Brighton, I'm 9+6 and every so slightly terrified!

badguider · 17/02/2013 09:58

Babyboo I think your rib cage will expand so you'll probably be bigger than a 32 by the time you give birth - should help with availability of bigger cup sizes.

WhizzsMum · 17/02/2013 10:07

Morning ladies Smile sun is shining here today so may just drag myself out for a lovely walk along the beach when hubby returns from golf!

Welcome Waggy

binary I too have been considering an early move into maternity wear and have been browsing online this morning. I live in my skinny jeans, and the last few days I've had to undo the button as it is just far too uncomfortable to sit for any length of time with them done up. I stayed in normal clothes until 4 and a half months with DD but I'm only 9+1 and already showing. We too are concerned about twins as they are on both sides of the family and this pregnancy is already very different from my first. Roll on my scan to know for sure.

kimjayne · 17/02/2013 10:24

I had a pretty good day yesterday! Was only sick in the morning and managed to keep 3 meals down. I also took a trip to the park and shops with my hubby and some friends...... Then in the middle of the night I was punished with 3am vomiting wake up! Sad I feel wiped out today. I can see the lovely sun shine outside but I have no energy to go out. Im keeping everything crossed that in 6 days when I hit 12 weeks I.might start feeling more human.
Has anybody else started feeling better around 11-12 weeks? ?

BinarySolo · 17/02/2013 10:46

Ah Whizzsmum, very similar to me then. My mom is a twin and I've been quite sick this time around, but just felt queasy a couple of times last time.

Does anyone know if it's identical or non identical twins that tends to run on families? My mom has a twin brother. I'm 34 as well tho, so maybe my body's thinking, 'no need for these' and releasing extra eggs!

All will be revealed on Wednesday! If it is just one I think I'll be slightly embarrassed by what a porker I've become! Blush
