Name change.... I am beaditsback on the list.
I've been lurking as I just can't keep up with these threads! Still on the threads we started when ds1 was born back in 2010 and they never moved anywhere near as fast.
My 20 week scan is 25th Feb and can't wait. I am already pretty big but Ds was big and big on percentiles also left a pouch after emcs so no wonder.
Feeling lots of definite movement, like long pushes of a foot or head or something. All feels much sooner than anything with Ds. I think I was 18weeks before I felt him.
Slightly worried about another big baby and perhaps having to have another emcs after long labour but will keep talking to mw and check bump measurements throughout.
Got mw app today so she can tell me how many weeks days I am as have no idea Blush Smile

Hello!

Had a busy few days and not had a chance to catch up on the whole thread but hope everyone is OK... I see there is a scan list going so just adding myself for 4th March - waving to scan buddy mightbe

Good luck interviewees!

Morning all!

My boobs are huge they look like porn norks Blush No idea what size, been muddling by with support tops and my nursing bras from DD. will have to concede defeat and get measured soon!

How is the name game going for you all? We've just scrapped out entire list and are starting again! It was so easy with DD!

photographerlady · 06/02/2013 08:33

Good luck today everyone!

photographerlady · 06/02/2013 08:35

As for names we picked ours like the first week of becoming pregnant. In fairness I am such a planner so really it has been planned for a while. We went with more traditional but rarely used names. I do a lot of baby and child portraits and tend to hear my fair share of trendy names, not that there is anything wrong with that but its always given me a chance to come up with one that I really like and don't tend to hear that often.

MightBeMad · 06/02/2013 09:01

Thinking of Sunday today. Hope you are doing okay?

Good luck Tom and totally for your interviews!!

Still no movement here but I have an anterior placenta so hoping that's the reason. I had felt dc1 by this stage but placenta was posterior that time.

Re bra sizes. I went from a B to a D last time around. This time I've been in the Ds a few weeks already and I think I'm already growing out of them Blush Shock

16+1

dinkystinky · 06/02/2013 09:49

Yes - sending hugs in your direction Sunday.

photographerlady · 06/02/2013 09:54

Movement is a tricky one, something I easily mistake for gas maybe but I know til about 20 weeks plus its no worry to not feel anything. Its my first so I don't really know what its meant to feel like.

VinegarDrinker · 06/02/2013 10:22

Movements tend to be much lower than typical gas, more in your bladder area. I feel them much more when wearing trousers with a tight waistband!

bigbelly4 · 06/02/2013 10:49

Loving all the boobage talk! Makes me feel much more "normal" having gone up from D to a F in the space of 6 weeks! Hubby loves it - although he's on a strict "you can look but dont touch" haha, I'm so mean! Wink

I am also queen of the spot and cant seem to find a cleanser/moisturiser to suit my grim skin - any reccommendations?

Am getting movements and did quite early but already worrying if i dont feel them regularly - blimey you'd think 4th time round id be a bit more relaxed, but apparently not!

Everyone happy with their MW? I have a lovely one this time, last time she was bloody awfull and left me in tears on many occasion (thankfully she has retired!)

iclaudius · 06/02/2013 10:55

Ooh big belly!! Where roughly are you?? Our slightly fierce mw has recently retired ... Not called a J name was she?

iclaudius · 06/02/2013 11:00

Re boogabe this pg is very odd for me with NO busty alteration at ALL! Most disconcerting - anterior placenta I think makes me look fat but no bump at all yet ... Good job I have a Doppler

Calmisrhantra - how lovely

Scans hope they all go well - I really need mine tbh after all the testing stress of the harmony

Did splash out on an Isabella Oliver dress and now want the other colour way too - whoops!

iclaudius · 06/02/2013 11:01

Wow to typos sorry ( tired!)

BB01 · 06/02/2013 11:49

bigbelly4, much sympathy. My skin has always been problematic but luckily has been amazingly better since getting PG. Have you tried a serum instead of moisturiser? Some people use them alongside but it seems enough for me on its own, less greasy and seems to make me skin look a lot healthier. La Roche Posay and Boots Botanics do good and not-too-dear ones. I also love Origins Super Spot remover to dry out any biggies and hot cloth cleansing seems to have made a big difference also.

MightBeMad · 06/02/2013 14:14

Bigbelly, I think I read somewhere that spots in pg can (counterintuitively) be more to do with dryness than oily skin and you should try cleansing very gently no more than once a day and using a nourishing moisturiser to calm the skin down and prevent it getting into a cycle of over-producing oils to compensate for hormonal dryness. Absolutely no idea if this is true in any/all cases, but might be worth a try if you haven't already?

TomDaleysTrunks · 06/02/2013 15:17

No idea re: skin. Maybe ask midwife? Boots No7 has a good range I always find.

totally how was your interview? Mine was alright, seemed ok. Will find out in a couple of weeks hopefully.

Can someone add me to the scan list please on 12th March. I had an earlier date sent through but we will be in Edinburgh watching scotland beat Wales at rugby! Smile

MightBeMad · 06/02/2013 15:48

Ask requested Tom. glad your interview went well!

dinkystinky · 06/02/2013 16:14

Glad interview went well Tom.

My friend with twins (due date end of March, C sec date mid March) went for her scan today - they're over 5lbs each already! I reckon they are going to be 7lbers at least when they come out Shock Mind you her eldest was nearly 11 pounds!

photographerlady · 06/02/2013 16:19

I use Simply (brand) face lotion. I find that light sensitive skin lotions are the only thing not making my break out in spots. Even though my face if really dry the beauty heavy creams make me wake up with plump red ache :/

TotallyEggFlipped · 06/02/2013 16:28

Glad your interview went well, Tom

Mine went well. Very relaxed as it turned out I was the only applicant Grin. I start work on Monday! Returning to anaesthetics after 2 years off, so nervous, but really excited. Eek.

flyingsprocket · 06/02/2013 16:29

Glad the interview went well Tom hope it was the same for eggflipped

I'm getting spots on my neck, what's that all about, they're mostly at the back & in my hairline. Weird.

I'm seeing the consultant in the morning & hoping she can wave a magic wand & make the bleeding stop!

flyingsprocket · 06/02/2013 16:31

Cross posted egg - congratulations!! That's great news, are you going to work full time?

Supershiv1 · 06/02/2013 16:35

Waaah pregnancy rage nearly unleashed on train. ......
Woman, "you are sat in my reserved seat."
Me, "there's no reservation on this seat" (whilst looking around at sll the empty seats).
Woman, "here's my ticket. That's my seat."
I think I am going to argue with her but just decide to move to the opposite seat (which she doesn't want as it isn't forward facing).
She sits down and puts her reservation on the table.
I spot it. The reservation is for the train an hour later stupid stupid mehhhh!
Do I tell her?

Of course I bleeding do!!

Supershiv1 · 06/02/2013 16:38

Could someone add me to the scan list please?
12th March, same as tomdaley
Yours
Annoyed on a train, giving stupid po faced woman the evil eye.

TotallyEggFlipped · 06/02/2013 16:39

flying just 3 days a week to start (can't get childcare for more & don't know if I'm ready either!)

Good on you, shiv
