My bump is large - bigger than my cousin who is on DC2 and 7 weeks ahead of me. Blaming combination of no stomach muscles and large DP!

Anyone else got or had small red itchy spots? Got 11 so far, mainly on my lower back and sides. Pharmacist pulled a face and asked if I have had chickenpox, but I have - and told me to see doc. Confused

notprincesskate · 04/02/2013 20:29

Thanks to Dinky advice I had pretty much a backpain free weekend, thank goodness as I did 12 hr shifts both days, however the pain and as a consequence bursting into tears at every opportunity has returned, possibly related to my over enthusiasm for housework in some kind of nesting thing Hmm.
According to DH boobage has def increased here to but every time I measure I get a different size so just squeezing myself into the non wired ones I had from DD, very naughty.
Sorry to hear about your cat Devil so sad.
No plans to find out gender here, and going back to the name conversation earlier, it's so off limits right now, we have no agreement at all.
18+1

notprincesskate · 04/02/2013 20:36

Just adding myself- couldn't do it in last message, think I'm also starting to get movement too, the feelings seem to be more regular now.

Speaking of boobs, I've got the mega itchy skin and stabbing pains from first trimester back. Does that mean they're on the move again? Am in an E, (was D before pregnancy, DD at my largest) but REALLY don't want them to get comically huge.

In other news, we have actually agreed on 3 boys names that we both like (miracle after DP's Charlton/Maximus phase Hmm). No girls names we can agree on though. It's really weird, I can imagine both a boy and a girl, but one of those imagined people is going to disappear in a few weeks. It actually made me sad earlier, stupid hormones. DP thinks I'm going crazy... I can kind of see his point!

Putting you on emblosion Smile

Also, just realised it's taken us just over a week to half fill this thread. Then looked at the other ones to find that the February-ers, quite literally about to pop, are only on their 3rd! Are there more of us or are we just chatterboxes?

Glad the back exercises/advice came in handy Notprincesskate. You need to avoid that housework - its lethal!

iclaudius · 04/02/2013 21:16

Dinkystinky i found your thread and the numbers very reassuring actually as i can't bear feeling some sort of oddity! Thank you

MaddmissM i am 45 with an eldest of 20 .

I found the harmony amazing actually. Had a good nuchal but bloods were 'off' which scared me a lot. That was at a private place. Then went to see nhs consultant who was great - scan was far superior to private actually and advice really good. They asked meif i wanted cvs due mainly to age but i declined. I contacted ARC (?) a charity giving advice about ante natal testing results ( they were really great) and passed me on to Barts genetics lab who talked me through the results. I mentioned harmony and she told me where did it.

I contacted FMU but it would have been a logistical nightmare for me getting there and they only had one slot in a fortnight so i contacted a lab who were running it and they said i could have it .

I got gp referral and the lab sent the blood pack to my gp which was amazing.

I heard back very quickly and seemed to get the 'standard' negative result.

I will still have frequent scans due to dickky PAPP A score but feel much better

Hugely recommend harmony!

Thanks for all the bus welcomes - feel a bit of a late comer and also late due date but had last baby two weeks early so am hoping for that this time tbh

iclaudius 15 weeks

iclaudius · 04/02/2013 21:17

Iclaudius - glad you had a good experience with the harmony test. It is really amazing the stuff they can find out nowadays on a non-invasive basis.

SundaySunshine · 04/02/2013 21:53

Guavas I used to be on the Feb 13 thread, we had quite a few losses early on and then the rest all buggered off to facebook Angry (I hate hate FB).

It feels a bit weird that my due date was supposed to be this Wednesday. TBH I was really dreading it, but having a new little wriggler kicking away smooths the pain some what, although I think I'll always feel sad on that date.

dinkystinky · 04/02/2013 21:56

Sundaysunshine - sending you hugs. Hope Wednesday passes smoothly for you and your DP but that you find time to mark the day.

MrsRoss26 · 04/02/2013 22:58

Just one comment before sleep hopefully grabs me ... dinky: OH MY! An E cup is bad enough for me! Grin

Guavasforbreakfast · 04/02/2013 23:07

Sunday I'm really sorry, now seems like my comment was really insensitive. Hope you're ok this week, and enjoy seeing little one at next week's scan!

Cheeseandbread · 05/02/2013 05:27

Marie and Orange thanks for well wishes yesterday.

Welcome to new people- waves.

Devil really sorry to hear about devil cat. My fur ball has just run off outside after waking me up.

I got to hear the heartbeat yesterday at my 16 week appointment and couldn't stop smiling. I thought they might not be able to find it because of my anterior placenta. The midwife said she wouldn't have sent me home without hearing it though and would have sent me for a scan straight away if she couldn't find it... I didn't know that.

Thought u wasn't going to see the midwife at all for a bit as there wasn't one at the clinic initially. The one who was supposed to be there was on holiday and no cover had been arranged. Then another one came over- we all got given free drinks while we were waiting. It was quite nice really.

When I signed up for info at the centre where the midwife clinic is I got a free bag and tommy tippie beaker- my first bit of kiddie equipment- feels strange- I'm going to be a mum!

Ugh, another coughtastic night in the dinky household - the cough monster is now blissfully sleeping and I have to get up and get ready for work and the kids ready for school. Ugh. Early night called for tonight.

dinkystinky · 05/02/2013 06:25

Cheese - glad you had a lovely MW appointment (despite the wait).

MightBeMad · 05/02/2013 07:25

Sundae we'll all be thinking of you on weds. I know a lot of us have been there too. (somebody thoughtfully put a royal wedding on the due date of my list bean to distract me Hmm ). I hope it passes peacefully for you and your dh.

Cheeseandbread · 05/02/2013 07:36

Thanks dinky

I feel a bit guilty as I'm still in bed... I had a rough night and a bit of a dodgy tummy so not much sleep for me. don't sleep well normally but this was worse there are various bugs going round school at the moment... Just called school to say I won't be in today but hopefully after sleep I'll be fine for the rest of the week. We have the parents in for a theme day on Thursday so I want lots of energy for that! I always feel guilty when I'm ill though...

Someone asked up thread who us not finding out the sex. DH and I are going to wait until the birth more of a reason to push

Does anyone else have a DH who is not keen on looking or buying anything yet? He says it is too early... I'm 16+3 and if anything want to make it seem more real. I have my change bag and free beaker at the mo and that's it... Maybe I'm just getting too excited... He might be more keen after our next scan and I am going to drag him to ikea in half term.

Sunday I'll be thinking go you this week.

Cheeseandbread · 05/02/2013 08:00

dinky just realised you probably didn't get much sleep either last night. Hope you struggle through the day ok. Early nights all round later!
