Evening ladies, blimey I've missed loads today by the looks of it. Hubby treated me to an early valentines meal (as we can't get a babysitter for tommorow) I am still not experiencing any pregnancy symptoms now for about 3-5 days and I'm not gunna lie its starting to panic me! I would say the only symptom, if u can even call it a symptom is the extreme tiredness. I'm 5 weeks today. All those ppl on the list and no one seems to have the same due date as me lol (16th oct). Will catch up on everyone else's posts tommorow as my eyes r stinging. Hope everyone's keeping well and looking after them selves:-) xxxxx

Wow, this thread moves at the speed of light! I've read it all but forgot who said what, so please forgive me!

Very exciting to read about all of the appointments and scans etc. sounds like everyone is mostly doing well, which is lovely to read! It is really difficult not to get caught up in the worry, I wish there was chance of early scanning where I am, but no such luck. Still, I feel incredibly sick - I'm guessing another boy.

Someone asked about labour plans; I'll be in the hospital again as I'm high risk due to having early onset pre-eclampsia last time (anyone else??). I'm a bit worried about getting there in time if I'm not hospitalised before induction again as it was literally 3 hours from pessery (no drip) to baby - they thought I was being a cry baby and didn't want to transfer me from ward to labour, my body was pushing its self less than 20 mins of transfer which panicked them all as they insisted I was to have an Epi due to PE and hadnt even got the cathiter in yet hehe. I'm hoping just the induction made it go fast!

Has anyone got any experience of treating thrush in early pregnancy? I've just finished 2 courses of antibiotics and pretty sure I now have thrush :-(

I'm reluctant to give this poor baby even more medication, any chance it will clear up on its own? It seems to be a mild case.

Hello! Thank you carcassone and rox for your support yesterday. I think I was being very melodramatic and it was a combination of exhaustion, morning sickness (which I seem to now have mildly ) and being a little under the weather. I panicked myself because of the fall! I don't think NHS direct would know I was in Spain if I called them so I might direct any emergency questions their way! Cheeky really but I paid my taxes in England for ages!

I don't have a choice re labour plan I don't think, they only do what they consider trendy or hippy home or water births in Madrid or Barcelona!! It'll be hospital. I don't mind that though.

Hi all, Have updated myself on the list although secretly hoping to move forward a bit more when finally get round to having my 2 week scan. Thank you to all reassurance about change of dates. Still trying to fend off morning sickness here but pain in my side is better so thats something.
umlauf I had so many dreams of a baby girl when I was pregnant with DS that I was sure he was a girl, in the end we found out the sex at the 20 week scan because I was worried if I was wrong I would have bonded with this imaginary girl baby and be shocked to have a boy. Was glad that I got the shock early and not after labour. Glad your feeling better and definitely wouldn't worry about being too careful especially when your feeling so rubbish!

soupqueen I would speak to GP about thrush not very pleasant for you and unlikely to get better by itself. i know I suffered with it last time I was pregnant and got given medication that wouldn't affect the baby i.e not tablets.

How lovely for early valentines meal natalie Hope your feeling better about things today, as everyone says all we can do is try not to worry. and would definitely say extreme tiredness is a symptom or I've got no excuse to be in bed at 9 every night!

I had such a vivid dream last night about my baby. turns out I was 40 weeks gone now and had a boy!! all my family and friends turned up and no one even knew I was expecting so they were a little shocked!! Haha. I've not really let myself think this is real yet just in case,but now I really feel like it is!!
no valentines plans here, I'm off to work tonight to supervise 40 teenagers at youth club so that should be as interesting as ever!! I had an expectant mothers stress risk assessment the other day and needless to say it wasn't good Haha!!

Umlauf my Mum called the other day to ask if I was pregnant. Obviously I lied and said "Of course not, if I was I would tell you straight away!" ... She said she'd had a dream that I have birth to "The most gorgeous little girl." ... As a result I keep picturing us having a baby girl, but then when I imagine a toddler it's a boy. I always thought I'd have a boy but would be just as happy if this bean sticks and we have a little girl! Meh, maybe I'll have twins

SoupQueen I realised I had thrush at the same time I found out I was pregnant! Only the second time in my life that I've had it and I'm not sure what caused it. I did a lot of looking around and read that you can't take oral tablets for it, but you can use a pessary and cream (canesten duo). However the pessary has to be inserted using your finger, not the stick that comes with it. Using your finger means you won't be able to insert it as high and therefore won't risk damaging your cervix.

PinkButtons I am glad you're feeling a bit better, although that morning sickness sounds like a bugger. We are also staying in for valentines dinner. Not sure what to have yet but the dine in for two sounds like a good call.

Morning ladies need your expert opinions. Just been offered a scan on Monday to confirm my dates but ill be 5+5 and I'm worried they won't see a heart beat etc. if this is the case will they invite me back? Say 2 weeks later or will that be the end of it until 12 weeks. Or do I think I should cancel it and make it for Friday when ill be 6+2

I'd try to make it Friday natalie because you might panic if you can't see a heartbeat but its very early to see one. Especially as you may not get another one unless you go private. It's not too long to wait but may make all the difference. Damn I wish I'd been vague about the dates now! My first scan isn't until 12+5 because I was nice and arranged it around working hours. Very tempted to screw work and rearrange it for exactly 12 and take time off!

I keep wondering if its a boy because not very sick, or twins because I'm feeling very fat! Someone on the thread will be a twin mummy!

I would have thought that as long as they can date it at 5+5 then you won't get another until 12 ws. I could be wrong though!! are you sure about your dates?hope you get it sorted!

Hi all! Falcon the MS sounds horrendous, hope it doesn't last too long!

DH has secretly organised a babysitter and is taking me out for a meal tonight - I say secretly as he's slipped up and told me enough hints that I've figured it out but I'll still act surprised for him when the sitter arrives!!

I'm not really having any pregnancy symptoms - slightly sore boobs and occasional twinges in my back but nothing massive. May try to see the dr and just get some reassurance that it's normal - the logical part of my brain says that this was exactly how I felt when pregnant before but the stressy part of my brain is panicking

I did post a bit up thread - I had some spotting, but have since had two beta-HCG tests which show my levels increasing and very healthily too. No more spotting which is a bonus. So here I am adding myself to the list. This is a fertility treatment pregnancy and I had 2 embryos transferred, so there is a risk of twins. I'm having a private scan at the end of the month when I can book it in :)

Good morning ladies! Happy Valentines Days. I got a lovely bunch of coconuts flowers, chocolates and a card this morning. It's also our 13th anniversary of our first date (not married, Engaged tho!). All together now vomit aaaaaah.
