Oh haylebop Sad you have my sympthy its horrid. I glad im not the only one but sorry you are getting it too at the same time xx

GettingObsessive · 17/02/2013 17:31

Its so weird, isn't it? I felt do sick for days, not helped by a horrible frog in my throat that I kept trying to swallow, and now no real sickness and I'm panicking that something's wrong! Same with the constipation, but that has eased a little now.

Only real sign is my incredibly sore boobs. Spent all weekend with my parents, desperate to tell them, but DH is adamant. DMum got all excited when I had a soft drink, but seemed to buy that I was on antibiotics.

pinkmoonlight · 17/02/2013 22:03

So sorry mycat

Can I join please ladies? I got my BFP on Friday (first child) and my only symptoms have been extreme hunger and thirst! Are those even symptoms of pg?! Just got back from telling both sets of parents and am alternating between excitement and worrying that something will go wrong. Off to the doctors in the morning! Smile Think I'm due around the 25th.

candr · 17/02/2013 22:09

Hi all, can I join in? Havn't read all the posts as looks like this thread has been very busy but hope everyone is doing ok. This will be DC2 as have DS 17m. He is so adventerous and a real climber so am hoping that calms down by DC2 arrival. Am also scared about pg and labor as found pg very fustrating last time and only had 4 hour labour that they said may be halved next time round - eeek! Think I am due end of Oct.

My advice for those feeling hungry is just eat what you fancy cause if you get morning sickness you will look back and wish you had had that cake Grin when you were enjoying food (it does pass though)

Tarlia · 17/02/2013 22:39

Hey ladies. How are you all this evening? I'm sorry about the spotting, how scary, but really keeping those fingers crossed for you. Implantation spotting is normal for some and as others have said there are a number of other reasons.

I can't remember names not but WOW I did not know bra's went up to that size haha. I'm relieved though!! Where did you find nursing bras to fit?

Euro 30 weeks?? I was on semi bedrest from 27 weeks and full bed rest from 31..just to put it out there.. Get book marking those Internet shops :P My point with the white stuff and going on to say about finding out sex was that I will be able to add to our neuteral newborn layette with the right colour pallet..

I had a fall today, a real comical feet forward, fly in the air flip onto flat back fall :( which ordinarily i would have laughed at. I managed to break it a bit with my hand, which was instantly blue, now purple, but I have lower back pain. I'm trying not to panic as I know it's all still so tiny, low and protected right now but hmm.

Wish me luck with the insomnia, last night was a bit better, around 2.30. How are you others coping, are you getting up and doing something productive, I find I lay and get so cross which spirals.

Zara1984 · 17/02/2013 23:20

Just popping in to say hello ladies Smile a year ago this weekend I found out I was pregnant. I now have a beautiful 16 week old DS. Felt all nostalgic and fuzzy seeing this thread!!

I hope your pregnancies are happy, healthy and straightforward!! The nerve-racking first trimester will pass sooner than you think! Best of luck!

PS my one tip: buy a tumble dryer sometime before October. Seriously. Essential for an autumn/winter baby and the Everest of associated laundry.

Tarlia · 17/02/2013 23:23

Haha zara I'm sure that's on the unspoken 'what not to tell first time parents list' :D Enjoy your beautiful bundle, exciting times ahead.

walnut300 · 18/02/2013 04:59

hello all, thought I would join this group!! due in october... still early days but feeling excited.. this is our first child! Smile Smile

RainbowsFriend · 18/02/2013 07:19

DP wouldnt let me buy a tumble dryer with DD....

I'm putting my foot down with 2 though!

Sephy · 18/02/2013 07:49

Morning all, and hi to the new joiners.

Nice to see someone else off to the doctor this morning

Keep getting nervous about tummy cramps but fairly sure they're actually digestion related what with the constipation... I'm usually regular as clockwork and finding this 'very little and not as often as I'd like' really weird. Sorry TMI - don't want to gross out Dh too much though!

Hope you're alright Tarlia and am sure the little one will be fine, so small and protected. Good to hear Zara that the time passes eventually, thanks for saying hi!

CelticPromise · 18/02/2013 08:31

Morning all, and welcome new joiners.

I've been lucky so far with symptoms, just been tired and very very hungry! I did a run I had entered yesterday and felt great all day, but this morning have woken with a headache and sore throat, boo. And it's half term so I have my boisterous boy all week (which will be lovely really).

I hate these first few weeks, I am willing the time away!

Umlauf · 18/02/2013 08:46

Morning all! Welcome new joiners! pink moonlight hunger and thirst were my first symptoms, along with incredibly sore boos (but I suffer from bad period boobs so that was no diffeent). The hunger has sort of sated but the thirst is still going strong! Especially at night.

I actually have the opposite to constipation... Hope that's not a bad sign. Getting so fed up of worrying now, I had two nightmares recently where the baby died. DH dreamed that all his teeth fell out, and when we googled it thats apparently. Sign that you are facing a massive change in your life!

The only thing I've bought so far is a baby boys shirt with pictures of chemistry things all over it. DH is a chemist and I saw it when I worked in monsoon aged 19 and was desperate to b it then but that would have been tres weird after 1 year of being together! So I was thrilled to see it on eBay and just had to have it! It will be worn no matter what gender!

Ah zara such good advice re tumble dryer! Unfortunately its impossible for me :-( but good to know in advance that I will drown under the weight of the washing! Can prepare by buying extra clothes dryers instead!

The inlaws are coming round a bit now, I think you ere right about the initial shock. Although they think I'm a wuss for cancelling the ski holiday (with them!) xx

Umlauf · 18/02/2013 08:48

Re nursing bras, bravissimo have 2 styles that go to a K cup so fear not!

JellyCurls · 18/02/2013 09:11

Morning ladies and welcome to the new joiners.

I turned over in bed last night and felt a muscle in my side go into spasm and is now so sore when I move. Never ever pulled a side muscle before when pregnant or not, any tips on how to ease the pain?

Haylebop12 · 18/02/2013 09:14

Anyone else feel rough as toast?! Bleurgh! And it's half term, I'm working a 40hr week to cover even though my contract is 24 (3 days)

My mum is being lovely however and dh is taking dd to his family oop north the weekend to let me wallow in my self pity.

Think I need to start on he meds soon as this nausea is taking over my life... Can't see it getting any better!

Sorry for the me me me post but I need a rant!

roxvox · 18/02/2013 09:22

Morning everyone.

jellycurls I find that putting painful pressure on a pulled muscle and rubbing it as hard as I can (it hurts) until less painful helps. Kind of like a massage...

haylebop sorry to hear you're not feeling 100%

When I went to bed last night I felt really quite sick, but woke up this morning feeling fine. I think I may have a very very mild case of nausea.

I also dreamt last night that I lost my baby. Woke up this morning and convinced myself that my boobs had started to get smaller again. Could this be true? If I had a MMC then would my boobs start to shrink again?

Umlauf · 18/02/2013 09:25

Roxvox you may be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5! The dream was scary (at least mine was) but then dreams don't really come true. And my boobs are always less sore in the morning than at night.

Don't panic!! Xx

roofio87 · 18/02/2013 09:30

roxvox sometimes I can convince myself my boobs are less big and I feel less tired etc but actually I'm just getting used to the feeling of being pregnant so it no longer feels like such a change, its probably the same for you!!
no such luck yesterday and today though as the nausea seems to have finally kicked in!!x

Haylebop12 · 18/02/2013 09:31

rovorox if you had indeed had an mmc your symptoms wouldn't stop until other things started happening. I was still nauseas and bloated 5 days after my mmc had happened. That's 3 weeks after baby had actually stopped growing so chances are no. Unless your experiencing bleeding ect.

TheFalconsmistress · 18/02/2013 09:31

Hello new joiners Smile

Haylebop omg am I right there with you I feel dog rough, dont want to moan I have been waiting almost 4 years to have this bean but constant feeling ill is more than I can bare! Dh is off uni this week apart from tomorrow so I am getting looked after.

Umluf that shirt sound adorable I have not been brave enough to buy a stitch yet Sad

Jelly curls rest is all I can think honey xxx

roxvox · 18/02/2013 09:41

umlauf, roofio and haylebop, thank you! I am sure that I am just being ridiculous. I hate all of this paranoia all the time! Thank you though. I shall calm myself down now... Smile

TheFalconsmistress · 18/02/2013 09:50

Rovox try not to worry I was feeling sick every other day last week (week6) now its mostly always its just your body getting used to that level of hormone. Next week you will be sick and wishing you were not like me Grin

TheFalconsmistress · 18/02/2013 09:52

Btw cant bold on my phone Sad should we start a new thread?

thethreeblondies · 18/02/2013 10:12

Ooh yes Falcon get a new thread at the ready!

Intense realistic dreams are a big pg symptom, so try and be reassured by them Smile

I have had very few symptoms so far (although only just 5 wks so plenty of time) had really bad indegestion yest after a massive carvery and cake moments of sore boobs and a teeny bit of nausea, I'm not complaining at the mo!

pinkmoonlight · 18/02/2013 10:14

Thanks umlauf and sephy- I'm glad being really hungry is normal. I had breakfast 2 hours ago but I'm starving again.... I am a bit scared about how much weight I may put on if this continues!

Just got back from GP and it was much less exciting than I thought it would be- she took my blood pressure, calculated due date (she says 23rd, which is the day my husband was due to be born!) and gave me loads of urine sample containers. Booking in on March 20th Smile

Sending positive thoughts to all those feeling rough Biscuit
