10 - thinking of you and sending stop bleeding vibes. I've heard good things about Liverpool Womens. Is it far from your home if you have to stay in for a long time?

Scooby - yay to exchanging! Great news.

Beut - happy to do the FB thing. Am FB friends with my antenatal thread for DC2 which is happily still going strong after more than 4 years.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 18/01/2013 14:46

Yay scooby

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 14:52

Scooby Yay at last I bet that's a huge relief.

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 14:55

I can't stop eating chocolate digestives Blush

MaybeAMayBaby · 18/01/2013 16:31

Great news scooby! And relax ....

10 I'm pretty sure a friend of mine was at Liverpool for the same thing. It was a few years ago now-but we live in the midlands so a bit of a trek. She stayed for a few weeks and was in and out for most of her pregnancy. But she went full term. I can't remember details, but if she wanin for 2 weeks for a bleed it must have been bad! So fingers crossed. Hope that's given hope.

Snow day here. Sent home from school at 11. Luckily I had DHs 4x4. About 6-7 inches here but it's finally just stopped. Is it wrong that I'm hoping for a day off Monday too? 9 school weeks left!

22+4

MooLL · 18/01/2013 16:31

10 sending you lots of positive thought - great you are sounding so relaxed as that can only help, and you are in the best hands!
scooby yay! Such a relief and you can now forget those frankly bizarre people and get on with planning your life in the new house - so?exciting!

After 2 weeks of cold/flu finally being better - however not until you are pregnant that you realise how much drugs suppress the symptoms normally - been a rough couple of weeks.

In the midst of it all my nanny resigned - thankfully not going until my first day of mat leave - but still all my grand plans of having a month off before the birth with her looking after dd1 for 3 days a week have gone - hey ho! Now to find a family member to help out when I am in hospital and help whilst I recover from my c section - although last time I remember I was walking fair distances 2 weeks after

Hope everyone is warm and safe in this weather - always quite cool having snow in London as doesn't happen often - however know many have got it much worse than us

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 18/01/2013 16:39

beaut try the mini chocolate hobnobs with a slice of banana on. Yummy.

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 16:46

Frustrated That sounds gorgeous.Im going to be the size of a house though Grin

ng1412 · 18/01/2013 17:11

Congrats to Scooby is it all systems go now then?

Beaut very Envy at you eating chocolate digestives. One of the many products we can't get here.

Still waiting for my amnio test results, it seems to be taking an age but it is only ten days since I had it. Wish it would hurry up, have an appt with our consultant on Monday but it is just a check up so won't get them then. I just want to know now.

Hope everyone is safe and warm, we have had quite a lot of snow for a while here in France, of course nothing stops, the place runs as normal. We live in a village and every morning the snow plough comes without fail when there is snow. So different from where I lived in the UK! More snow forecast for next week

shelly81 · 18/01/2013 17:17

Sending lots of hugs and well wishes 10 hope things get better for you soon :-). Xxx

berri · 18/01/2013 17:50

Excellent news scooby

10 oh gosh poor you, I hope they are taking great care of you in there and you have everything you need. Stay put baby 10!

Ellypoo · 18/01/2013 18:01

Fantastic news scooby! What a relief!!

SevenReasonsToSmile · 18/01/2013 18:25

I will try to set up a fb group tonight if that's ok with everyone? Anyone interested PM your name and I'll add you :)

scooby that's fantastic, so pleased and hopefully you can relax a little more now.

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 18:28

Seven Thanks that would be good.

Ellypoo · 18/01/2013 18:47

Thanks Seven - nice to put faces to names!! Will it be a private/secret group? Don't want to 'out' my MN name on FB!!!

tasmaniandevilchaser · 18/01/2013 19:09

10 hope you are feeling ok, glad they are looking after you, but what a horrible scary thing

lolly don't just put up with it, get to a physio, at least then you know you've done everything you can, even if it doesn't magically disappear. Have just remembered that with DD I had acupuncture, that was quite magic actually! Must get back to my acupuncturist!

scooby hurrah! Great news, you must be so relieved,!

Hi to everyone else,

Oh and about the hypno cd, DH tells me I was snoring like a warthog, so I was very possibly asleep not 'under' as I thought Blush

SevenReasonsToSmile · 18/01/2013 19:11

Yes will make it a private group. My profile pic is a little boy in a white t-shirt so you know it's me when I add you.

Reenypip · 18/01/2013 19:38

What's the fb group called?

Hope your ok 10 and looking after you both.

I'm on the maternity ward too in hospital. Because of spinal injury my bladder and bowel don't work without interventions. And with the interventions I've been using, they have stopped working. To stimulate them to work again, can stimulate my uterus to contract too and go into pre term labour, and also because of extra pressure that my bowel could rupture under pressure, so have to stay in until a new plan in place and they start to work.

I'm really upset, as I want to be experiencing the snow with my 1 year old boy and enjoying it with him.

SevenReasonsToSmile · 18/01/2013 20:50

reeny that sounds scary, hope they get it sorted and you can get back to your DS soon.

tas I used the CD with DD and never got to hear past the beach part, I don't think it helped me during labour tbh. It only lasted 3 hours though so contractions were pretty intense and I was alone for most of it which probably didn't help so I couldn't relax as much. I'm going to make an effort to stay awake and hear it all this time to see if it makes any difference.

Facebook group is set up, secret group so you won't just be able to search it and join. PM me your name or PM and ask for mine (if you're a common-named type) so I can add you as a friend then invite you to join the group.

Bunnychan · 18/01/2013 21:00

Hi ya ladies,
Hope your keeping well or as well as can be.
I' went for a snowy walk today with my DP to his sisters and it ended up taking 1/2 hour there and then 1/2. Omg! I can't move- my hips and pelvis are killing me. I didn't realise how unfit I've become since being pregnant!
X

GeordieCherry · 18/01/2013 21:59

Happy birthday Beaut!!

10 I was at the Liverpool Women's today! They're absolutely brilliant, you're in great hands

Hope everyone's doing ok in the snow

I decided to walk to my hospital appointment & back. 7 mile round trip. My hip flexors are killing!

Had antenatal fitness today, we did abs. I'd kind of forgotten I has any... Shock

rachywhite83 · 18/01/2013 22:04

10 thinking about you. We are so lucky to be near Liverpool ( the greatest city in the UK imo !) The Women's is such a great hospital. We are all thinking about you x take care of yourself x

rachywhite83 · 18/01/2013 22:05

Of Geordie another Liver bird ?!

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 22:25

Geordie I've stopped all my ab excercises during pregnancy as I know most are not suitable when pregnant.Would be interested to know what kind of excercises you did in an ante natal class. We have no classes at all around here Hmm
