scooby your buyers just get weirder! Hope it all works out, not much you can do, just breathe!

rhienne and shelly sympathies from me, hope you both perk up soon. I felt like that after the pneumonia, it took 2 mths to feel myself again. I would recommend keeping warm, lots of fluids, and lots and lots of rest. Also fresh fruit and veg, tons of it. I also liked floradix as a tonic. My grandma used to talk about tonics a lot!

10 hope you are taking it easy, every day that baby grows in there they are a day stronger. If they do arrive early, docs can do so much now, I know someone who,had their baby at 23 wks and baby is fine now at 4yrs old.

I'm 24 +2, feel like I've clambered over a big hurdle getting to 24wks, I'm very happy!

I can empathise with those who are having their DD/S play up. dD is going crazy at bedtime, wouldn't sleep til 9.45pm last night. My patience was all used up, that is time for me to relax.

I saw another thread one of you started about hypnotherapy. I got the maggie Howells cd and not quite sure what happened when I listened, I cannot remember a single word of it, think it had a strong effect on me!

Hi to everyone else, including ukfirestorm! Nice to have a DH on board!

Wirrawoo · 17/01/2013 21:34

tassiedevil that hypnobirthing cd sounds powerful! Have been wanting to research the hypnobirthing thing as a close friend found it incredibly helpful in her labour. Will look up that one you mentioned.

scooby crikey Jeebus those buyers sound like total fruitcakes! Really hope it all works out for you in the next few days. You'll deserve one helluva mocktail when you get into your new place! Wine

10 so sorry that you're going through this, but it sounds like they are really taking care of you. Like others have said, every day that passes makes your little one stronger and the precautions they are taking will help even more. I have friends who had a baby at 24 weeks and she is now 4 and the life of the party :) with the rest you are getting and the care they are taking of you, you might find yourself going for months yet! We will all be here for you whenever you need it Thanks

beaut happy birthday for next week!! Hope you have a great one :)

Sorry to the people who aren't well right now. I don't know about the rules when pregnant, but I have found vitamin C and zinc to work a treat in the past boosting immune system when run down. Best to check before you take any extra supplements though. Hope you feel better soon xx

Went to the doctor today to get a note to fly and also get checked out after the feeling weak/ dizziness. Turns out my blood pressure is low, so it seems like it was just a bit of overwork and not eating enough or in time (!) for those times when it dips. We are hopeless at keeping the cupboards stocked in this house when we are both working lots. Our hours are so crazy. Anyway, have been getting crazily grumpy when hungry in the last few days and feeling really bad for my poor partner when I, ahem, lose my ethereal charm and turn into a right grumpy moo. Am blaming it on blood pressure! Anyway, heard the heartbeat and the baby is doing just fine. The pain in my lower left side turned out to be a little heel!

Hiya. Blimey it's been a while since I've been on here! Good to read a little of what everyone's been up to.
I forget who it is who's moving Norwood / crystal palace way but wanted to tell them to look at the 'crystal palace mums' page on Facebook as we're having a local mum to be coffee on Saturday. Can't wait to meet some local preggers ladies! We'll all have to wear red carnations so we recognise each other. Though the bumps may give it away!

Reenypip · 18/01/2013 00:02

Hi, haven't been on this new updated post yet.
How's everyone getting on?
I'm 23+1, and in hospital at the moment.

GeordieCherry · 18/01/2013 00:15

Laid in bed feeling very grumpy that we might not be going to my parents this weekend after all, feckin snow

But totally cheered by actually seeing some of the baby's kicks! Little Alien Shearer Grin

10, are you home or staying in hospital after the steroids? Hope you're ok

berri · 18/01/2013 04:29

Hi reeny how come you're in hospital? Hope everything's ok with you?

How are you today 10?

Scooby hope you're remaining calm and collected in the face of madness Grin

I've signed up to a hypnotherapy course! Heard nothing but good things about it so looking forward to getting started.

24 weeks is a great milestone tas, glad you're feeling good Smile

ng1412 · 18/01/2013 07:25

Well we woke up with no heating or hot water! Boiler had failed overnight. Got a roaring fire now and it is back on, why do these things happen when you need them most?! Luckily our DD's room was still quite warm. Good job as I don't fancy ringing our local boiler man and explaining in my worst French.

10 do you have the injections every 24 hours or just one more? Don't know much about it, sounds like they are taking good care of you though.

Reeny hope you are ok.

Am jealous of all those over 24 weeks! Am 22+5 so not long I guess. This trimester seems to be dragging, I remember feeling that with my DD. Maybe it is because I am bored stiff at home all day....

SevenReasonsToSmile · 18/01/2013 09:05

Thanks elly it's a big job though, might take up to a couple of months. The snow is quite deep here, no sign of builders yet ...

Hope you're ok reeny.

scooby keep us updated on your bonkers buyers, hope you somehow manage to exchange today.

beaver33 · 18/01/2013 10:30

twinkling that's me - thanks for the tip off! Unfortunately I work Saturdays, though, so will have to miss out. We're (hopefully) moving end of Feb.

happy birthday Beaut!

23+4

lollypopsicle · 18/01/2013 11:10

Hope everyone is coping with the snow ok. Woke up to a bit but not enough to think 'snow day' so if was working today I'd have had to have gone. Since then about 5 inches has fallen and it's still going. So glad I don't work Fridays!! I'd be in a right state by now at the thought of trying to get home in this weather.

Those of you with PGP...did you go to the doctors initially or just put up with it? I'm getting more uncomfortable by the day. Moving/sleeping and sitting on the loo is becoming rather painful for my pelvis. Do you just accept it and get on with things as best you can or is there anything that the doctor can do?

Reenie saw your post on the pg board. Hope everything is ok with you.
Happy birthday beaut and sending 'stay put vibes' to baby 10.

22+1 ( woo! I remembered!)

lollypopsicle · 18/01/2013 11:11

Sorry reeny on my phone do couldn't check spelling Blush

Boodstress · 18/01/2013 11:37

Hi Lolly I have had PSD diagnosed with my first which is pubis symphisis dysfunction but maybe that is now known as PGD. This is my third pregnancy so I am pretty clued up on the exercises and the things not to do. I self diagnosed and then went to the doc at 18 or 20 weeks and they sent me to a physio. I went with each pregnancy. The belt really helps some people so the physio can get you fitted for one. Little things like going up stairs one at a time and getting out of the car and bed two feet together are all really important. Most of all if you are having a V delivery make sure they don't let them put you near stirrups.

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 12:24

To all those that are ill.I have been finding hot honey and lemon, steam inhaling, oblas oil on my pillow, paracetamol every 4hrs,honey by the teaspoon full to help with tickly cough and a hot water bottle as back has been aching all help .

I haven't had anymore heartburn since I got rid of my cough. Is strange as I had it really bad with last two pregnancies all the way through.

Baby is kicking loads.I love feeling him move about.

Not looking forward to the school run later on as the snow is coming thick and fast now we have about 3 inches. So I think I'm going to cancel all birthday plans this weekend and snuggle up with a film and takeaway.DP is only home tomorrow afternoon until Monday morning Hmm

Thanks for all the messages.Birthday is Monday. Its the first time it's snowed near my birthday since I was little.

23+1

Ellypoo · 18/01/2013 12:49

Hi lolly, my MW asked if I wanted to see a physio, and she gave me a sheet with some exercises/positions to help, and they might give you support belts etc which I find help if I'm walking around a bit - might be worth trying to get a referral?

Hope you & your baby are ok reeny, what are you in hosp for?

Any news scooby?

Hope your builders have turned up seven.

24+3

Goodness 10 ((hug)) you're really not having an easy time of it are you? Fingers crossed its nothing too worrying, the bleeding stops soon and baby stays put for a few more weeks yet. Make sure you still get your second lot of steroids today, if you're in a different hospital it's easy for these things to be missed unless you mention it. Totally different circs but when I had DS there was a woman staying as she had placenta preavia and kept having big bleeds. They wanted her to stay in so she was never too far away, so if she had a massive bleed she could be seen straight away and they could deliver baby ASAP if necessary.

They did turn up thanks elly, they're digging up the floor first, DCs terrified of the drilling so we're hiding at my parents house.

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 13:13

Oh no 10 Sorry to hear this. You are in the best place.I always have a bit of a nosy at the April thread and two of the ladies on there had their babies at about 24 weeks I think. All is going well for them and babies

ng1412 · 18/01/2013 13:15

10 how scary for you but sounds like you are definitely in the right place. You really are going through it, I feel for you.

BeauticianNotMagician · 18/01/2013 13:29

LittleSpade · 18/01/2013 13:30

Hello all. Just checking in to say hi as not been on here in a while. Was on holiday in the carribean last week and have been busy catching up on work so far this week. Was lovely to have some warmth, sunshine and relaxation time with DH. Also really helped me to focus on being pregnant and feeling the baby's first gentle movements (have anterior placenta). Bit of a shock coming back to snow though!

Will be 24 weeks on Sunday so really looking forward to that milestone.

Sorry to hear of your ongoing scary time 10 - sounds like you're being taken good care of and fingers crossed your baby stays put a bit longer at least.

Waves to everyone else - especially those who are ill or are having stressful times with moving or building work. We had our nursery furniture delivered today - so exciting! Perhaps a little over-organised though as now we'll have to re-decorate around it.

Boodstress · 18/01/2013 13:32

Gosh 10 you poor thing. You sound calm so that's something. At least your in there and they are looking after you. Sending lots of positive thoughts!

Ellypoo · 18/01/2013 14:28

Oh my word 10, I hope you are ok and managing to not be too stressed. I hope they are keeping a very close eye on you, good that you had the 1st lot of injections yesterday, hope they give you the next lot today, and that baby manages to stay put for a bit longer. Sending lots of best wishes to you xxx
