Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

alex my top tip is ... Don't do too much! Meeting up with post natal groups etc are good things to do and essential to build up a network of friends, but it is also lovely to just hole up with the baby, let his/her natural rhythms set the pace and just chill.

Don't put too much thought into routines, at least for the first few months. All 3 of mine had a set pattern to their day but not linked to actual times. They would feed, be awake for a bit and then sleep. And repeat. It is a great way to spend the day!

RedRobin1 · 25/05/2013 08:14

Thanks the salt water seems to have helped for a few hours.

We have our early scan today. Just nervous and hoping there's a baby there and all is ok with it.

alex It cant be a lie surely....its got to get better soon. I have lost 8lbs in 3 weeks. I just want the sickness to stop.... even a one day relief would be good right now.

MrsBri · 25/05/2013 08:16

Good luck, red! I'm sure you'll be fine.

The sickness suggests you've got at least one baby lodged in there. I'm still thinking 2 though!

:-)

kittykatsforever · 25/05/2013 09:45

Good luck red, can't wait for your update!!
8lb in 3 weeks! I could do with abit of that right now!

Alexandra6 · 25/05/2013 12:29

Lots of luck red oh and my food aversions aren't quite as bad as they were and I am able to eat more now so hopefully you won't be losing weight for long!

RedRobin1 · 25/05/2013 13:55

Saw baby robin today with its little heart fluttering away.

It was lovely.... although initially what I kept pointing to, the sonographer told me that was not the baby but the amniotic sac! spotted the baby in the end Smile

And there's just one nic ...no twins! Whew!!!

MrsBri · 25/05/2013 14:10

Congratulations!

Does it feel more real now? :-)

I don't mind being proved wrong either, I'm just happy baby Robin is well. Xx

RedRobin1 · 25/05/2013 14:18

Yes I keep looking at the blurry pic and thinking all this time there was def a baby in there and still is :)

Going to calm down now and just enjoy it.

alex how far along are you?

resipsa · 25/05/2013 14:45

Ah red I just shed a tear for you (well, maybe 10). So pleased all is well.

(And so jealous too!)

RedRobin1 · 25/05/2013 14:49

Thanks res wishing and hoping you get to have another go and can join us soon.

Alexandra6 · 25/05/2013 17:09

red yay, so lovely you saw baby robin doing well, makes me want to cry too Smile it's brilliant isn't it.

It gets better and better too, at the 12 week scan it's a proper baby shape and moving around! I'm 13+2 now. Feeling a bit nervous about my cervix scans (with two different consultants at different hospitals) this week but feeling a lot more positive and relaxed about the whole thing at the moment.

Congrats Grin xx

tedmundo · 25/05/2013 18:59

Congrats robin I really hope you start feeling better soon.

Adsum · 25/05/2013 19:38

Congrats red! I second what res says x

kittykatsforever · 25/05/2013 21:33

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 26/05/2013 21:14

Congrats red so pleased you got to see your little one.

RedRobin1 · 27/05/2013 09:26

Popping head out of toilet for a bit.

Thanks everyone - kitty DH keeps touching my belly now and then and it totally freaks me out.

It's been more real for him seeing the scan.

Thingymajigs · 27/05/2013 09:31

aww that's great news. Now all you need is for that morning sickness yo pass. So happy for you red. Smile

RedRobin1 · 28/05/2013 08:46

Thanks thingy can't wait for all of you to join this thread. Keeping my fingers crossed for more bfps. Miss you all.

kittykatsforever · 29/05/2013 07:37

Waking up in wonder, dd2 slept so well last night, fed her when I put her down at 7.30, she woke at 1 for a feed then slept til 7 this morning Shock it took dd1 til 10wks to get to 1 feed a night, she's only 10 days old!!!
She only had 1 feed the night before too but it was hard putting her down and took a few hours to settle her, I'm sure it's just a lucky accident but I'm pretending its not and I'm just that lucky Wink

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 07:44

Wow, kitty, that's amazing! You'll have to teach me your trick :-)

37 weeks here tomorrow. With practice contractions ramping up and a grim increase in CM / pooing to contend with! Sorry, TMI, ha ha!

Batch cooking day today. After a trip to Sainsbury's for stuff!

Kittenkatzen · 29/05/2013 07:49

Congrats on the great night's sleep kitty bet you feel chirpy this morning!

mrsbri oooh very nearly term, exciting! End of pregnancy sounds so glam...WinkGrin

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 08:04

The whole time is glam, isn't it really?'

Did you enjoy Muse? :-)

Kittenkatzen · 29/05/2013 09:27

I'm so glad we have these boards/each other to discuss the gladness of it all - can imagine my rl friends' faces if I tried to drop cervical mucus into general conversation Grin. My (childless) bf got a bit freaked when I made her poke my rock hard bump whilst we were walking the other night!

Muse were amazing as always! Was disappointed not to get to hear Sunburn, but Dead Star and Blackout made up for it Grin Best set i've seen overall I think. So frustrating having to stand so far back, but I did manage to stand/dance all night - was wrecked on Sunday morning though!

Kittenkatzen · 29/05/2013 09:28

Glamness not gladness - stoopid autocorrect not recognising my made up words!
