Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Scouches big fat belly out of the way for red, don't worry you can sit and hold hands with Alex she's our other little worry wart Wink

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 16:06

Just confirmed on the digital too. 2-3 weeks. I guess that means I might be due around 17 Jan.

I wish someone could tell me now exactly how many weeks along I am!

MrsBri · 05/05/2013 16:23

When did your last period start red? That's when time runs from.

BUT the digi ones are from conception, so you would have ovulated 2-3 weeks ago. Disclaimer though: the tests aren't fool proof and can get it wrong, i.e. if you're having twins it would show you as further along than you are!

How long is it since the implantation bleeding?

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 16:34

I am rubbish at maths - need some help here.

So first day of period: 5th April
Average cycle: 32 days
Implantation bleeding on 29th April

No idea when I OVed - I had a faint positive opk on 20th April.

5th May - 2-3 on digi.

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 16:36

Ah! Didnt know digi was from conception so I must be 4w + 1 day today then. So I guess due around the 11th still.

twinklestar2 · 05/05/2013 16:49

Yay baby red will be my birthday twin :)

Alexandra6 · 05/05/2013 17:01

Yay red brilliant!! I think you're 4 weeks or a day under, as I reckon you ov'd around 21st/22nd based on cycle length and OPK. You add two weeks to ov date if you ov later in the cycle (i.e. your cycle isn't the textbook 28 days) So the last menstrual period date method near enough works for you by a couple of days whereas I ov'd quite a bit later but as I knew when I ov'd, I could still work it out by adding two weeks on.

And yes I am still the worry wart I was in my ttc days but happier in my worries! DH was laughing when I told him you'd said I was a worry wart as last night I went to A&E about rubella-gate as I had swollen glands and a rash. Turns out the rash was dry skin with a couple of spots and the swollen glands not that swollen, just a slight sore throat Blush In my defence he told me not to go back to the office until my immunity has been tested so he did take the risk very seriously (once he'd stopped laughing about how much I "must have dug into my neck to feel those non-swollen glands"!) Worrier, me? Grin

kittykatsforever · 05/05/2013 17:19

Lmao at your story Alex Grin that is very very funny but I can understand why your worried about it, just imagining doctor saying right what rash and you here where I'm pointing Wink
Red- if digi is saying 2-3 now that's a strong positive?! The conception indicator is only surposed to be acurate if you use it first thing in the morning so I'd expect it only have said 1-2 really even if it had been abit more, 2-3 usually means 4-5 weeks doesn't it as dont you add 2weeks, anyway all telly positive signs

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 17:29

Hahaha alex ditto about the rubella thing. I was planning to get mine done in June as I haven't had one previously. I did read its rare and I life far far away from Wales so hopefully I feel be fine Smile

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 05/05/2013 19:17

Wow I've missed loads.

red wow I'm so happy for you and totally understand the panic, I'm a worrier too. But not as bad as alex that a&e story is excellent.

kitty great news on the baby turning, just need to keep it there for a few more weeks. Smile

Alexandra6 · 05/05/2013 19:37

red just read on the ttc board about how you told your DH when he was mowing the lawn, aww Smile so cute. Hope everyone from the ttc board is over here soon too, it's so hard. I went to IKEA earlier and when I saw the children bedrooms I was thinking how happy I am to be preggers! had a little cry in the middle of IKEA, how embarrasing, it's the hormones

resipsa · 05/05/2013 19:58

Red 2-3 on digi at 4(ish) is strong. Twins??? I got 2-3 when I was 6 weeks!

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 20:28

Thanks when it's lovely to see everyone here.

alex it feels so surreal I just keep smiling everytime I remember.

res I don't know if I can cope with twins! The line came up instantly and it's very dark....I have no symptoms whatsoever.

DH is thinking of getting a private scan done. Did anyone else have an early scan?

resipsa · 05/05/2013 20:39

Yup. Worth every penny (and they don't charge you extra for the pics!).

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 20:45

res is 7 weeks the right time to get one?

Alexandra6 · 05/05/2013 20:53

Yes I did red and can not recommend it enough. Had mine at 8 weeks 3 days, was only £75, and was brilliant Grin Really nice place, huge screen, and I have def relaxed a teeny bit since seeing the lovely little heart beat although of course I'm still worried ahead of my 12 wk scan next week. Obvs Wink

resipsa · 05/05/2013 21:07

I think they suggest that you wait until 8 to be sure that you'll see/hear what you want to...

Alexandra6 · 05/05/2013 21:08

I agree with res, that's why I held out until 8, I'd heard that was a good time too.

MrsBri · 05/05/2013 21:18

Hmmm...I'm going to bet on twins!!

I had an early scan at 7+6. Best £50 ever spent.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 05/05/2013 21:23

It might not be twins. I got a really strong positive with this one and the digis turned to a 3+ about 5 days earlier than expected. I've had a few scans and its definately not twins.

Probably just one nice strong embryo (although twins would be great too).

Definatly get the early scan. If they see a heartbeat at 8 weeks your chances of mc are only 2% are you listening alex Grin

Alexandra6 · 05/05/2013 21:36

Grin thanks when I can't hear that stat enough!!

red your digi was 2-3 weeks right? Well that's about right as your 4 weeks approx so 2 weeks since conception! Mine changed bang on the right times, and no twins! Was just looking at my scan pic again for the millionth time

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 21:41

Hahaha alex I can imagine I'll be going spare with worry till 8 weeks comes along!

It will feel real when I see it or get some symptoms....

Twins Blush or not - I can't wait to find out. I do hope it's just the one cute ickle baby though!!

MrsBri · 05/05/2013 21:55

But if it is twins you never have to get pregnant again :-)

kittykatsforever · 05/05/2013 22:07

You and your twins Nic lol Smile
One is definatly the way to go you will see I always wanted twins until I had dd then thought oh god thank god lol
Still can't stop smiling for you red, I love that first bfp day where you keep going to look at the tests, remember to take a pic of the digi as very depressing when it goes blank, have you told anyone else apart from dh? Parents? I'm going to bet that you got a 2 pack aswell and that you can't resist another test tomorrow???

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 22:14

kitty you are so right! I got a 2 pack and I just don't know how I am going to sleep tonight.

I have downloaded the 'what to expect' app. Any other pregnancy app suggestions welcome.

bri I want to get pregnant again! My cousin had twins and they look so cute but boy was it hardwork! I really hope it's just the one Smile

We've decided to keep the news to ourselves although I am bursting to share. Decided to tell my mum in 2 weeks time and then tell the in laws end of may. It's a lovely feeling.
