Thanks kitty little and alex I think I may have to get a few cardigans or just buy a bigger jacket. I did just find some on the Isabella Oliver site at £165 Shock. There's no way I'm paying that much, I totally agree with alex, it's not worth splashing out the cash on something you won't be in that long.

I'm trying to remember how long it took me to get back out of my maternity stuff post birth (1 month I think but can't be sure)

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 07:30

I will be putting a coat on eBay soon when as I got a new one for bday, it wasn't a maternity one but I've been able to use it as one because of the way it's styled, it was a French connection black one with 4 buttons at the top , 2 together then another 2 together and the bottom with non so it just falls and as bump grows opens a little more, does that make sence?! It's a size 10 and in great condition but now I do signify it with pregnancy I know I won't want to wear it as a non maternity lol the only problem with it is its more of a winter coat I'd say, not sure it's be lightweight enough for summer but if your interested I can always let you know as I was only looking for around £10 for it, If anyone else wants any stuff ill be putting the nicer things on eBay after bubs is born as its the last for me and I've got some nice summer dresses and a gorgeous top shop top that I got before all these shops stoped selling in stores and ill give my seller id so you can have a nosey lol also selling a heart Doppler an angel sounds one Ive only had for this pregnancy, check me out pushing goods on you all lol

Alexandra6 · 03/05/2013 08:04

kitty you sound like delboy Grin Thanks though, too early for me. I'm planning to wear my normal dresses for a good couple of months, I've got some great stretchy, loose ones that will work for now!

I am thinking about all the stuff I'll need and when to buy it, and whether it's worth looking on eBay etc or just get new and sell after to save the hassle. I'm talking stuff like prams, travel chairs, cots etc. I'd really like to save money now for my mat leave and in case I can't go back to work, so trying to work out what kind of budget I'm looking at for all the baby stuff!

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 09:39

I bought all my pram etc new Alex for probably because of excitement etc and with the pen I surpose you just want it looking all nice but I have had friends buy off eBay and its saved them loads, I buy alot of toys books and things from car boots though, they are brilliant, plus alot of dd clothes so much cheeper and things like bumbos and high chairs etc you only need to give a wipe with a disinfectant cloth and done, almost 90% of my clothes are still non maternity Alex, the jeans obviously are but I've also just bought some vest tops from sainsburys for a fiver in a size bigger ( for some reason they are really long) and wear a cardigan open over the top, it's madness to pay alot for something you'll only wear for a few months hence I've only got about 5/6 things to sell, I hate that you can't try on in shops anymore, at the Trafford centre you used to be able to but from top shop, dp, next, h&m now I think there's only mamas and papas and its so expensive

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/05/2013 10:30

kitty thanks for the offer. If you had said size 12 I would have jumped at the chance but I have huge shoulders and have no hope if getting them in a size 10.

Kittenkatzen · 03/05/2013 18:58

Sharing the pain of mat clothes not being in the high street any more, it's such a massive PITA. The only exceptions I've found are the bigger New Look and H&M stores do sometimes stock a small range. Whereabouts are you when? I think I saw a couple of jackets in the big New Look near my work in central London but not sure if that's helpful to you or not?! Maybe worth checkin out online if not.

MrsBri · 03/05/2013 19:11

I agree wholeheartedly about the crap amount of maternity wear on the High St. When you factor in being tall with being pregnant it's seriously crap indeed!

I finished work at lunch time today. Just over 4 weeks' annual leave, then mat leave starts at 37+5. Think I can cope with that!

Going to crack on with my cross stitch for the nursery now as it is taking bloody ages! And also start my hypnobirthing DVD / book.

Feels very real now, it has to be said.

I'm also obsessed with hanging my washing on the line...especially as I hadn't had a line for over 3 years in my previous flat!

Baby B has definitely gone to wriggling more than kicking these last few days. And he feels quite long too. He also appears to have either 2 arses or 2 heads. Most odd!! How can midwives tell what's what?!

So, it's Kitty next, isn't it? I'm so glad Wishful got there in the end :-) Very long pregnancy!

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 20:22

Eeeep it is me next!
Had great news today, baby is head down GrinGrinGrin
Just hope she stays there now ( or comes out Wink)
Share your discomfort Nic, this baby is trying to kick her way out I can't sit up or lie down on back anymore, it's only side I can do or the bouncy ball

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 20:23

Oh and aparently she is 6lb 9 allready Confused all measurements are average apart from femur length which is off chart?! Don't know if that means she's got long legs

MrsBri · 03/05/2013 20:55

I said the other day that Baby B was trying to shove his way out of my belly button...he pushes SO hard against me sometimes it really hurts. So much strength for a little person!

And excellent news re baby turning Kitty :-) Get bouncing on your ball quick and get her engaged!

Are you 36 or 37 weeks now? Still makes for a baby under 9lbs at 0.5lbs per week! :-)

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 21:28

36+2! Dd was 37wks exactly and weighed in at 6,10, pretty good weights though really given that the apps say they should weigh 6.5 at 37wks, obviously now she's head down I'm hoping she follows in her sisters footsteps!
She moves so much more then last one though like you wouldn't believe, whole stomac dancing definate foot stuck right out when I've just had a bath so you could grab it! Shock Hope this doesn't mean a live wire as dd was a lovely sleepy little thing - well still is Smile

twinklestar2 · 03/05/2013 23:20

Hey girls!

I was thinking about wishfulthinking the other day, she must've had her baby by now? Does anyone know?

MrsBri · 04/05/2013 02:55

Hi winkle!

Yes, I think she went about 12 days overdue and had a little boy :-)

Alexandra6 · 04/05/2013 08:41

kitty that's great news about the position, phew!

I'm going to try and work from home next week as someone in my office has come down with suspected rubella and I haven't been vaccinated/never had it. I know I'm a worrier anyway Blush but on NHS site it says 90% chance of probs with baby if you get rubella before 16 weeks so I'm hoping work will understand if I want to avoid the place and work from home for a while to make sure it's not spreading around the office? (Has a two wk incubation period)

Congrats on starting mat leave mrsb!

winkle how are you doing? X

twinklestar2 · 04/05/2013 10:04

Fab news re wishful, please pass on my congrats if you speak to her.

Hi Alex, I'm alright - you?

kittykatsforever · 04/05/2013 10:32

Alex I think your right to in this case or atleast get advice from mw or gp, it's not a common thing and I wouldn't take any chances with something I'm not sure about either, but different from a cold etc

tedmundo · 04/05/2013 10:59

alex .. I think a call to the gp would be good, if only to put your mind at rest. Ds2 had the pox in my early days and I have never had it so they took it seriously. They will not mind at all you querying this.

The airer is a good size airer PLUS you can plug the bad boy in and every single slat heats up and dries the clothes in supersonic speed. I have not used it for a week due to the perfect drying weather outside but it is rainy here today so I feel a heated airer moment coming on....

It has changed my life as in damp weather, I would have the washing stuck in the kitchen for 2+ days waiting for it to dry. This does them overnight.

Yay to all the good scans, turning babies and maternity leaves. Get the to coffee shops while you still have the chance!

resipsa · 04/05/2013 11:09

Just popping on to wish good luck to kitty and mrsbri for the coming weeks. I loved the panic/excitement when my waters broke and I knew this was it!

MrsBri · 04/05/2013 11:16

Hi res, thank you :-) I'm alternating between excitement and totally shitting myself!

Good luck to you for today too...I've been lurking on the other side! Here's to a sticky bean (or 3!).

kittykatsforever · 04/05/2013 11:43

Thanks res- I too am getting scared now the end is so near!
< clears mind again and retreats back to hiding >

Marking my place Smile

Kittenkatzen · 05/05/2013 15:12

Ooh ooh sounds like there might be exciting news all round very soon then!

RedRobin1 · 05/05/2013 15:17

I got two pink lines on a stick this morning - yep a BFP Smile

I am 15dpo and due around the 11 jan according to my app. Scared as I have no symptoms other than a lower back ache and some twinges which could be anything!

twinklestar2 · 05/05/2013 15:40

Hey red, 11 Jan is my birthday :)
