Arkady I am so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you today.

Supershiv1 · 09/01/2013 11:02

Arkady absolutely shattered for you. Puts all my moaning into perspective. Big big hugs xxx

BadMissM · 09/01/2013 11:11

Oh Arkady have been there, and I know that nothing will make you feel better at the moment... love and hugs xxx

specialknickers · 09/01/2013 11:20

Oh Arcady, I'm so so sorry. I know there's nothing anyone can say, it happened to me last year. Be as kind to yourself as you can and make sure everyone knows you need time. Lots of time. PM me if you like... like everyone else on this board, we're here for you if you need us.

dinkystinky · 09/01/2013 11:23

Arkady ((hugs)) - I am so so sorry. Glad your DH is there with you.

Oh Arkady I'm so sorry. Please look after yourself during this difficult time.

Lots of positive healing vibes coming your way from all of us.

Abzs · 09/01/2013 11:49

Photographer - bang on 20 by dating from last scan.

I have an extra one next week (15) though to check on my cysts.

wifey6 · 09/01/2013 12:04

Arkady...so sorry...it's devastating, I know only to well as unfortunately we suffered the same last year. I know no words can ease your pain, but please know we are all here for you. Support is here. I hope there are people in RL who are looking after you & of support. Be kind & gentle with yourself.
Thoughts & prayers are with you sweetheart. Thanks

Abzs · 09/01/2013 12:08

Arkady - so sorry for you. Hope EPU look after you.

esme80 · 09/01/2013 12:08

Arkady I am so sorry. I will be thinking of you. Take care of yourself.

elliejjtiny · 09/01/2013 12:13

Arkady so sorry. I've been where you are and I understand how you are feeling. On a practical note, kotex pads are really absorbant when you are flooding.

McKTastic · 09/01/2013 12:24

Arkady am so sorry to read your news. Like others have said we've been there. I found out the same during my first pregnancy at the first scan - absolutely devastating. Thinking of you.

OhGood · 09/01/2013 12:30

arkady oh god I am so sorry huge huge [hugs] and all virtual support from us here.

flyingsprocket · 09/01/2013 13:49

AmaDablam · 09/01/2013 16:46

Arkady I'm so sorry to hear your news. Echoing what everyone else has said about looking after yourself and thinking of you lots.

AmaDablam · 09/01/2013 16:54

Seems almost inappropriate to say now, but just to mention that my scan went well this afternoon and everything seems as it should be. Due date by LMP calculation is spot on with measurements so sticking at 21st July.

The sonographer couldn't do the nuchal fold measurement as the baby was stubbornly remaining in the wrong position. I'm OK with that though, as I was starting to err on the side of "perhaps it's best not to know" and I don't think I could go through with any of the more invasive tests if the risk did come back high. Got a few weeks to decide if I want the blood test instead, but in the meantime just enjoying and sharing the good news and feeling incredibly lucky.

wifey6 · 09/01/2013 16:59

That's lovely news Ama.

OhGood · 09/01/2013 17:00

ama no, it's good to hear good news.

thinkingpositivethoughts · 09/01/2013 17:16

Arkady, I'm so sorry to hear your news. There is nothing that can be said to ease the pain right now, as others have said bekind to yourself and don't rush back to life ie work etc just give yourself some time.

Ama its lovely to hear your news

elliejjtiny · 09/01/2013 17:23

Ama it's really good to hear your news.

Guavasforbreakfast · 09/01/2013 17:25

So, so sorry Arkady. Really really sad for you, hope they take good care of you Thanks

Ama glad to hear your news, mine was similarly stubborn and took AGES to finally get the measurement, got told off for not drinking enough Confused.

Good luck to everyone else with scans coming up x

Supershiv1 · 09/01/2013 17:28

Ama so we both had stubborn ones that refused to play ball for the NT!
Am looking to do a private one if anyone can recommend anywhere near Chester?
Midwife called back and reassured. Apparently fibroids are hormonal and will be growing because of the pregnancy hormones, but good news is super Ribena will soon be growing faster than the fibroids and pushing them out of the way. They will keep an eye on them during scans to make sure they don't obstruct the exit!
The fibroids are also likely to be the reason for the bleeding and my midwife has almost told me to resign myself to it throughout the pregnancy.
She also told me to stop with the aspirin (which I had when I started bleeding).
After years of painful clotty periods at least now I know what the culprits are (sorry TMI), but annoyed that 10 or so yrs ago when I was being checked for PCOS they didn't spot them.
At 37 this is DC1 for me.

AmaDablam · 09/01/2013 17:31

Thanks ladies!

As if to remind me I'm not quite off the hook yet, MS is back with a vengeance - just thrown up for the first time since Christmas day.

Not going to let it put a dampner on my day though Smile
