Oh just saw your post too supershiv, that's great news Smile. Seems to be quite a common thing with the NT screening - a friend of mine had the same too. She ended up going private and had really reassuring results - she doesn't live anywhere near Chester I'm afraid though.

ArkadyRose · 09/01/2013 17:44

You are all so wonderful - I feel so touched to read such lovely messages. I'm being a little naughty & MNing from the ward on my phone - I miscarried in EPAU and had to be rushed straight into surgery for ERPC. It's all over now. They're keeping me in overnight just to be on the safe side. It all happened so fast that it haan't entirely sunk in yet.

mysterymeg · 09/01/2013 17:50

Arkady be naughty and MN on the ward if it helps! I'm really sorry this has happened.
(Hugs)

CottonSock · 09/01/2013 17:59

awww Arkady I'm sorry for you. At least you have no long drawn out waiting game if that is any consolation at all and had help on hand Thanks. Take care of yourself

paolocee · 09/01/2013 18:17

Oh my, I'm so sorry, Arkady. Treat yourself well.

Calmisthemantra · 09/01/2013 18:22

photographerlady · 09/01/2013 18:44

Lovely news Ama my lady prodded me for 35 mins to get the test as the baby was too busy staring right at us. :p

photographerlady · 09/01/2013 18:45

Arkady rest up and hope they looking after you.

dinkystinky · 09/01/2013 19:29

Arkady - your post had me in tears. I am so sorry you have had such a traumatic day today. Sending you hugs and best wishes - as others have said, be gentle on yourself and take time to process all you have been through in your own time. Hugs also to your DH who must have felt so helpless seeing everything unfold x

So sorry for your loss, Arkady. Take care of yourself.

Great news Ama & supershiv (well, apart from the return of the MS. hopefully it's just a one-off.)

Cheeseandbread · 09/01/2013 19:48

So sorry Arkady I hope you are being looked after and your DH too.

rest up arkady, hope you get some help with the kids when you get out. v sorry for your loss

AmaDablam · 09/01/2013 20:05

So sorry it's ended this way for you Arkady, but it sounds like you're being looked after in good hands. Hope you and DP have plenty of support around you over the next few days as it all sinks in.

Thanks Photographer. Far from looking at us, our baby seemed to favour standing on its head!! An acrobat or yoga specialist in the making perhaps?! After I was sent for a quick walk round the car park, he/she did lie down long enough to do the dating measurement and have his/her photo taken! Our sonographer didn't try for anything like that long to get the nuchal measurement - must have been 5 minutes if that. They must have quicker appointment turn around times at our hospital. As I said though, I'm not too fussed about it, just happy and relieved to have a healthy looking baby in there.

photographerlady · 09/01/2013 20:26

Aww walk around the car park. We showed up at 8:40 even though we had a 9:20 appointment and she saw us straight away so I think we were luckily and had a longer ultrasound. I have such a phobia of being late for things, I guess that will change when I'm a mom cause my clients are ALWAYS late for their little ones portrait session heehee

BB01 · 09/01/2013 20:32

Photographerlady that's good you got in so early! Was so paranoid about being late for mine dragged DH out of work really early and ended up sitting there in car park of hospital a whole hour early!

dinkystinky · 09/01/2013 21:12

Ama, Photographer - glad you had good scans. Sorry MS is continuing Ama.

I think they make you fill up with water and hold it for an hour just to torture you.... I usually tinkle every 15 mins when I'm not trying to gulp water I was certain I was going to sneeze and wet myself

Cutandstick · 09/01/2013 21:20

So sorry to hear your news arkady I hope your night in is comfortable and you get lots of tlc when you get home Thanks

Good news shiv, guava, photographer and you other scanees.

Thinkingof4 · 09/01/2013 21:27

I'm so sorry to hear your news arkady
I've been through mc too and I remember how devastating it is. Must be a real shock, take good care of yourself and give yourself lots of time to come to terms with things

ArkadyRose · 09/01/2013 21:32

I'm at home now - I've recovered pretty well physically, so the doctor said I was OK to come home tonight. A bit sore, very tired, and emotionally shellshocked really. It will probably sink in in a few days. Thanks so much for all the kind thoughts. Would anyone mind if I sort of lurk here for a little longer? It's actually helped a little seeing that PhotographerLady & Ama had good scans.

Gingerpanther27 · 09/01/2013 21:53
