Baby very quiet today, evenings are normally activity time so going to wait until then and if still quiet I'll phone labour ward (and end up in triage).

emilyeggs · 02/12/2012 14:42

I always feel better after a good cry spotty we're all wishing Felix well and in sure he'll be feeling better soon. In the mean time, let it all go x

Clarella · 02/12/2012 14:44

Thinking of you and Felix spotty

itsMYNutella · 02/12/2012 14:45

Great birth story Bella!

I was a bit busy yesterday, like you ellie the bean was V quiet evening Fri and yesterday morning. I rang my MW and she said basically pop to the hospital and get them do to a trace. At the hospital they were all really lovely and the bean is fine. They also did a quick ultrasound; of course while there the bean perked up and kept kicking the monitors for the trace and then the Dr's ultrasound thingy :) .

The bean was then very busy all evening and today has been doing his usual yoga moves :)

spotty I think a cry is absolutely justified! I've sobbed all over DP a couple of ties while pregnant (which drives me nuts because I don't even know why I'm crying) but having him give me a cuddle and just letting me cry has been fab honestly Hmm god I really am a nutter aren't I?? Well normal for pregnancy (I hope ) but it does make me feel a little like a nutter...

EggNogMichelle · 02/12/2012 15:08

Had a completely irrational cry earlier, saw what I thought was a used condom in the kitchen bin (DH has never given me any reason to be suspicious, and I'm not the jealous type) cue hysterical crying before realising it was the cling film off my soup Blush oops!

SpottyTeacakes · 02/12/2012 15:15

It's you lot who are going to make me cry with all your soppy messages Wink

He is now off the glucose drip fingers crossed his sugar levels stay up!

I don't think I can take much more of this good news/bad news!

Kate and Strawb must be busy pushing/snuggling newborns I reckon!

Hope seconds has managed to get an hours kip?

Secondsop · 02/12/2012 15:30

Oh spotty I have everything crossed for you guys - hopefully you'll get your unlimited cuddles with him soon.

bella CONGRATULATIONS!! Aurelia is one of my favourite girls names - it was definitely on my list for if I'd been having a girl.

I did indeed get to sleep from about 4.30 - 8.30, at which point my alarm went off for the next feed and I initially thought the teddy bear in the bed with me was the baby and I was wondered why my husband had out the baby into bed with me. That sleep has left me feeling so much better (although prob a large part due to adrenaline from being happy to be home). And ... My milk seems to be in, and this morning Zach took the boob without griping or holding out for the bottle, not for long but a start, and this afternoon he had almost half an hour! Not all via a perfect latch, I'm sure, but such a relief (until it hurts in a couple of days...). I'm still giving him formula top ups as I don't know how much milk he's actually getting, but I hope to be able to phase that out especially as I've now got a breast pump.

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 02/12/2012 15:55

Half an hour is excellent, we only do 45-60 here and that includes fussing and winding. Keep persevering :)

Spotty, it's such a roller coaster Brew

MyDaydream · 02/12/2012 16:05

spotty thinking of you and Felix, hope you start to see some improvement in him soon.

kate2boysandabump · 02/12/2012 16:13

I'm not pushing! Feel much the same as yesterday, plug still coming away and erratic pains. I'm very emotional today and keep crying, PIL are here and though lovely, I could do without it.

spotty think

kate2boysandabump · 02/12/2012 16:14

...ing of you and Felix.

Fat fingers!!!

brooke89 · 02/12/2012 16:17

Still no news from strawb?

spotty hope you get lots of cuddles soon

Awful day for me Sad a very close family friend has been very ill - he has a brain tumour and lung cancer so we knew time was limited. Turns out he fell down some stairs on Thursday and broke 5 ribs and punctured his lungs, nobody told me as they didnt want to upset me being close to labor, dad called me today as doubtful he's going to make it through the night Sad so have been up the hospital with my family to say goodbye. Really wanted him to meet our little bean before he went and he won't get to now. Life is very cruel sometimes isn't it...

ISpyPlumPie · 02/12/2012 16:37

So sorry Brooke Sad. Thinking of you.

emilyeggs · 02/12/2012 16:48

So sorry to hear that brooke life indeed is unfair sometimes Sad

CODwidow · 02/12/2012 16:51

Hi everyone and congrats to those you now have their babies. spotty my ds2 was in scbu for a while and I spent nearly the whole time an emotional wreck, it's a horrible helpless time.

kate I'm much the same still losing my 'plug' and having erratic pains so just hopeful that it's all doing something and when it finally happens it'll be a much shorter labour! (that's the plan anyway) but. Feel very premenstrual, very bad tempered and emotional so who knows??

I'm still in no rush to meet baby though feel very relaxed about things except that everyone else seems to have forgotten that they can talk to me about normal everyday things and instead feel the need to say things like 'oo still here then' or ' ah still hanging on' I want a sign round my neck saying I still have 10 days to go til due date!!! Rant over

Clarella · 02/12/2012 17:01

So sorry Brooke best wishes and hugs.

It Does sound like Kate, cod and strawb are next....

Really sorry to hear that Brooke, I'm glad you got to go and see him but its a shame he won't get to meet your DC Sad

utopian99 · 02/12/2012 17:28

Just checking in to say spotty and brooke dh and i are thinking of you..

kate2boysandabump · 02/12/2012 17:53

brooke so sorry to hear your news.

cod I feel exactly the same as you!

MyDaydream · 02/12/2012 18:20

brooke such sad news for you, I'm so sorry.
hormonal I do things like putting the pram up myself because having DP there stresses me out! There may have been shouting when he wouldn't listen when I told him how to put ours down!
I've been having constant periody cramps for two days now, hoping its nothing because this would be the worst week for him to make an appearance. Putting our Christmas tree up to distract me from the cramps, had to send DP out for emergency paper clips for the baubles! This is our second Christmas as a couple and the first with a tree so I'm quite excited! I've not had a tree since 2008 due to living in small houses with no spare space and its really lovely to be unwrapping baubles I've not seen in so long that are from mine and my mums first Christmas in our own house when I was little.

EggNogMichelle · 02/12/2012 18:30

Every year I say I'm going to buy a new tree (old one smells funny, bitch to put together and the ex bought it) yet I put it up again every year, swear at it then cover it in far too much flammable tinsel! Just disappointed the babies will all be too young to enjoy their first Christmas.

WillYuleDoTheFandango · 02/12/2012 18:33

Still feeling a bit funny, had a churny stomach since I got up and I've been having crampy feelings since 1ish. Baby's still high, & im only just 37w so I don't think he's on his way or anything. I hope I haven't got a bug. Might try a bath

We're going to put the cot together and decorate the nursery tomorrow! Exciting Xmas Grin

MyDaydream · 02/12/2012 18:54

egg I bought mine after Christmas last year in the awesome sale a local garden centre have knowing we'd have space for it now. Got more than 50% off!
