Just spoke to the hospital and they've run out of milk Sad I can't get there until after 10 so he's going to have to have formula for the next three feeds

ISpyPlumPie · 04/12/2012 06:43

Cashmere and Pru - sounds promising, good luck to you both.

Bella - Nathaniel has a moses basket aversion too. Have spent the night holding him. DS1 was exactly the same and it did get better. Just have to keep reminding myself that although it seems like an eternity now, it'll pass.

He's feeding lots too - milk came in last night though so am grateful, forgot how sore it can be at first when they're full.

Walnut8 · 04/12/2012 07:05

You are doing really really well to give him the breast milk that you are giving him spotty. A little bit of formula will be okay.

bella you could try sleeping with one of the moses basket blankets so that it retains your smell? Might help lo settle if can smell you.

ispy sounds like you are doing really well! i hope i can cope as well with two.

PrunellaDeVille · 04/12/2012 07:11

Walnut8 · 04/12/2012 07:21

SpottyTeacakes · 04/12/2012 07:30

2blessed · 04/12/2012 07:38

Good luck prunellaand cashmere

Hope you get some sleep hormonal

SpoonyFuckersWife · 04/12/2012 07:43

Bit worried about movements. No big movements last night (he's usually very active during and after dinner) but just a few slight movements. Then this morning belly was rock hard for much longer than usual. Got up and had a cold drink, felt a slight movement.

Quite reluctanct to call because everytime I has, he's started up again!

yuletopian99 · 04/12/2012 07:44

Good luck guys! (girls), sorry about misbehaving contractions hormonal..

MaMaPo · 04/12/2012 07:55

Spooky, maybe calling someone is a good way of getting baby moving! Worth a try.

Thankfully got some sleep despite 2 hourly BP checks, and now it seems induction can be delayed until either late tonight or tomorrow morning.

How embarrassing is this? I'm hooked up on the trace:
Midwife - have you been gettin any tightenings?
Me - no
Midwife - hmm. Look. (Points out noticeable peaks and troughs on printout)
Me - Blush I'm not very good at this, sorry.

Good luck to everyone who might be in the early stages!

emilyeggs · 04/12/2012 08:19

Oo looks like more Christmas puds on the way, good luck ladies!

Well I was woken what felt like evey hour with severe pain again last night. Felt like period pain but so bad I couldn't move. I knew not to get excited as it happened before and I know it means nothing. This is the same pain a I asked the MW about and she responded with "what do you think that it?". Got myself convinced at one point it was the placenta coming away Sad

Clarella · 04/12/2012 08:20

Woohoo congratulations mummycox!!

All the very best mamapo lol to the peaks n troughs!

Great news about bf spotty!

Ooo for cashmere and hormonal! All the best!

Prune - it really sounds more like it now!
I am mighty sick of my body fooling me into thinking I'm contracting when it's just digestive issues. But I've always had far more pain from that than anything gyne (never had period pain really but trapped wind can floor me)

Had a very crazy day of bhs which were so frequent and strong (no pain tho) that I wondered if I should time them but couldn't be arsed! I'd just finally got on with adapting a bf tunic. My tummy looked mad, could almost see outline of lo! Also he was really really active all day - I've had to sporadically concentrate on movement for the last couple of weeks. Few more bh in night but all calm now. Mind you, after reading your post mamapo maybe I am??!!

My 41+1 week sweep later this morn but I don't think the last was any good due to mw holding back after tummy bug. Fx my cervix has migrated a bit!!!

disclaimer: sods law states that you lot will have all popped out another 10 babies before my induction next Monday

MyDaydream · 04/12/2012 08:26

pru fingers crossed for you, good luck if its time.
spoony they're always happy to see you if your worried, I was in yesterday and they took the fact my movements are much weaker and less frequent seriously and told me to go back if I was still worried.
mama glad you got some sleep and good luck for induction.
clarella fingers crossed the sweep does something today and there'll be a baby for you soon.
I slept really heavily but have woken up feeling like I've not slept at all. Going to sort out all my Christmas post today and pack my hospital bag so I know there's nothing desperately needing doing between now and Christmas. Was going to go to Boots and do all DPs Christmas shopping so he doesn't suggest it it at the weekend, but he wouldn't give me a budget, just said "a reasonable amount". I don't know how much that is!
DP also wants me to go back up to the hospital today since I felt so crap last night, but I feel fine now and while baby hasn't upped his movements and they're still quite weak I feel reassured for now that he's okay in there after yesterday. I'm also seeing my midwife tomorrow and there'll be a scan at some point this week too. I don't really want to spend another afternoon with a numb bum hooked up to a machine having a bell rung at me just to make DP happy when my real plan for the day involved McDonald's cheese bites.

Clarella · 04/12/2012 08:37

Oh missed your post hormonal grr at naughty disappearing contractions

SpottyTeacakes · 04/12/2012 08:57

Oh I meant to say honey it's a well known fact that during pregnancy your pre pregnancy jeans shrink a little Wink

cashmere · 04/12/2012 09:04

He's here 6.42- Finlay. Will update later! Grin

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/12/2012 09:06

Spoke to the diabetic midwife this morning and although I've only had 2 High readings since upping the metformin she's not too happy. She's put in for me to see the diabetic doctor on thurs too and said that they probably won't start me on insulin at 38+4 (on thurs) but may want to bring the induction forward. Considering the induction is booked for next fri anyway there isn't much more 'forward' they can bring it. Lol. So we're going to make sure We pack the hospital bag in case they keep me in.

If I could go into labour naturally before then that would be great.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/12/2012 09:07

Congratulations cashmere!!!
