Hormonalhell · 04/12/2012 02:54

2blessed · 04/12/2012 03:08

Watching ramsay kitchen nightmares whilst bouncing on my ball. Programme making me peckish...

Hormonalhell · 04/12/2012 03:21

Hi everyone. Bored of being awake. No pains just wide awake.

Had a phone call from mil last night which I tried desperately to hand to DH but she collared me . Because we were waiting on a call back from the diabetic midwife which never came. Apparantly I'm being treated appallingly Hmm and need to kick up a fuss at the doctors (who would tell me it's nothing to do with them and to ring the doctors Confused). Now I know her heart is in the right place and for whatever reason she's just worried about me and baby. But I am not stupid and if I was worried I wouldn't just sit and wait for a callback. The only reason for the call was to discuss my sugar levels since my meds were upped and I've only had 1 high reading since so I was ready to tell them I think all is ok. Especially as I have an obstetrician appointment on thurs anyway. But mil just kept going on and on and on and on and on and on and wound me up. It felt like she was treating me like a child tbh. and then there was DH sniggering at me as usually he has to our up with the phone calls, I felt like walloping him one

Sorry mammouth post, needed to get it out though. Very cathartic!

Bellaboo123 · 04/12/2012 03:59

Wide awake with aurelia since 10she won't settle in her Moses basket. Loads of cluster feeding. Sooooo zzzzzz any ideas/recommendations? She just screams when put in it!

Hormonalhell · 04/12/2012 04:00

Awww stacy u sound very p**d off! MIL's are the bane of our lives Angry

Hormonalhell · 04/12/2012 04:01

Oh dear bella she already knows what she wants- her mummy to hold her constantly Smile

Bellaboo123 · 04/12/2012 04:05

Tell me about it! She's fine in the day sleeping in it but night time seems to be a battle...!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/12/2012 04:15

Just so annoying to be told I should be kicking up a fuss when I feel there is no fuss to kick! If I was worried about baby then I would, but being told I should be worried when there's no reason is making me irrationally stabby!

she is far better than my xmil though so I should be greatful for small mercies, and this is her first grandchild so I should cut her some slack

Walnut8 · 04/12/2012 04:48

congrats mummycox!

and thanks for everyone for sharing birth stories. I'm still shaking my head at you though spotty wanting to do it all again Grin. Seriously though, I hope Felix continues to get stronger, it must be so tough.

mamapo i know its a bit of a shock re the induction - I felt that way too when they suggested it. But i agree what with everyone is saying - its a shock either way I guess! I'm sure it will go smoothly, esp given favourable cervix etc. I'm making plans for thursday evening (when mine is scheduled), and my parents are flying in for the weekend, but it still doesn't feel very real.

Feel sick today, upset tummy (too much coffee I think - had one with friends and then SIL brought one over), the usual painless tightenings. Telling myself that it all must be doing something and that hopefully means body will be almost ready and induction will go smoothly. Feel like calling up and cancelling it though.

cashmere · 04/12/2012 04:51

Just had my show-eek!

Hormonalhell · 04/12/2012 04:52

walnut I have sicky days too, some days can't eat a thing! Prob happen tmorrow as had no sleep. My tightenings are sore now although not in agony

Hormonalhell · 04/12/2012 04:53

cashmere wow really??? U on your way now girl Grin

PrunellaDeVille · 04/12/2012 05:36

hello 4 am club, i've never met you here before as i have a very cumbersome laptop but tonight i couldn't rest any longer.
oh hormonal and cashmereXmas Wink exciting...

woke a couple of hours ago with a racing heart, then woke an hour ago with what seemed like really bad trapped wind and pain in my lower back. since then this pain has repeated every 10/15mins feeling like i need to poo Xmas Blush.
no show, no waters, (some poo), some extreme cm
is this what they call pootractions or could there be something in the offing??

brooke89 · 04/12/2012 05:39

I am late for the 4am club today... Ooh exciting cash are you still having tightenings?

PrunellaDeVille · 04/12/2012 05:40

reading that back i'm thinking maybe it sounds like it's more likely to be linked to last nights very spicy chicken!
this could be very embarrassing Xmas Blush

brooke89 · 04/12/2012 05:40

X Post - I'm not sure prunella hopefully someone who's awake who has already gone through labor will be along soon Smile

Walnut8 · 04/12/2012 05:41

sounds very promising prunella!

yay sounds like a lore more babies on the way over the next few days.

Cashmere fingers crossed that's the start! Have you been having contractions? (just don't go pack your hospital bags as apparently that means you have another 2 + weeks ... not that I'm bitter or anything Grin)

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/12/2012 05:42

prunella tbh it could be, or it might not be labour lol. If they progressively get more painful and closer together it's def labour. lol

Secondsop · 04/12/2012 05:48

Ooh cashmere good luck! When I had my show (still in the induction suite) Zachariah emerged within 40 minutes, so Godspeed!

Secondsop · 04/12/2012 05:54

prunella I've been through labour basks proudly - my contractions started just like period pains and didn't show up on the monitor so no-one thought I was actually in labour. Toward the very end they radiated out towards my lower back and down my thighs and up a bit. Start timing them, although if you have a hunch don't be put off by midwives saying that you aren't close yet. As in my case, they don't necessarily know what is about to happen! Mine were between 1 and 5 minutes apart for hours so I didn't have the pattern of them starting spaced out and getting closer. They stayed roughly the same distance apart but got increasingly stronger and less bearable.

EggNogMichelle · 04/12/2012 06:15

I have a bruised belly :( if I tell the hospital this then surely they will agree that there is no space left for Shrimpy and remove him? Got the best sleep all week, but think DH only just come to bed, and the house wreeks of garlic and slightly vomit like (its gross)

Pru are you still getting them? Could be a very exciting development.
Cashmere show is always a good sign, get yourself organised!

I packed my hospital bag at about 33wks, and clearly it has been more successfully at slowing progress than getting in a hot bath, 2days to EDD and all I have had is cramps from Shrimpy grabbing my bladder!

SpottyTeacakes · 04/12/2012 06:15

hormonal I do three hourly in the day and four hourly at night.

Ooo cashmere good luck I don't know when I had my show this time I certainly didn't see it before my waters went Confused

Fingers crossed for others having tightenings
