Let's do this Journey together.

Thanks for advice ladies. Have been on the prunes but will give some if these others a go. Smile

Have just got back from m&s and my life has changed. Spoke to bra ladies who said to try non wired mat bra to ease achey boobs. They were right! It's not the height of fashion but it's so comfortable! (And fits!) never would have thought of doing it this early along.

Also had a 'fibre boost salad' hopefully will help :-)

Xx

JollyToddles · 05/01/2013 15:10

Prune juice is even better than fresh prunes for constipation but it tastes foul.

I'm a bit constipated too but not as bad as last time I was pg. The worst thing is the tiredness. Yawn.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 05/01/2013 16:14

Ruck, sounds like the higher end of 'normal' pains (thankfully not had them too much this time around)...really looking forward to the rib pains Hmm
I have the constipation cramps too (we're all so sexy right now)!

Got my 11-14wk scan date through! It's next Thursday, I'll be 9 weeks...tempted to go along anyway just to see blob again, but think I'll do the decent thing & reschedule for later on, looking forward to them dismissing my private scan dating!

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing weekend

RuckAndRoll · 05/01/2013 16:26

Thanks everyone, seeing midwife on Monday so will talk to her then.

Just ran into a friend from church at the supermarket, she asked if I was ok as I looked really rough - nice to know Hmm

Snufflebabe · 05/01/2013 17:04

I am 8+6 today and when I just went to the loo, there was tiniest bit of pinkish blood. I've been feeling sick all day, so the hormones are def still going strong, but I'm obviously concerned.

FoofFighter · 05/01/2013 17:05

Ruck, could well be constipation pains, don't underestimate how painful that is!!

9 weeks is v early for a 12 week scan Gary?! Were you planning on having NT durng it? Caue that can only be done between certain point thinking 11-13?

Silver15 · 05/01/2013 19:11

Just finished watching the man u vs west ham match. Was under so much pressure and at some point was worried whether it was good for the baby but just could n't help it.

OP posts:
FoofFighter · 05/01/2013 19:46

I think watching Man U is on the banned list during pregnancy - not good for babies watching that Wink ynwa

LittleMissSnowShine · 05/01/2013 20:02

I'm taking cyclazine for sickness - cant say I'm feeling hugely better but I'm keeping some stuff down now so thats obviously better than getting dehydrated. Unfortunate side effect is constipation - only been taking them 2 days but tummy area feeling pretty bloated and rumbly so I'd guess this is going to end up being a problem for me too. Groan!!! Got my booking / scan appt in post today tho in better news Grin

GaryBuseysTeeth · 05/01/2013 22:42

Foof, planning on having NT so I know I'll have to rebook it, it's annoying that they've not paid attention to my dates, unless they're still going by mc dates, in which case I'd be down as 16wks?!
I'll be angry if they are, phoned mws to tell them of mc, week later got my scan/booking dates through, phoned them to retell them of mc, a week later had phone call from mw reminding me of my booking appointment.

I'm pretty sure supporting Man U whilst pregnant comes under some form of child abuse. Wink

Snuffle, hope you've had no more blood. x

to everyone who needs them!

Lurking on one of the other antenatal groups, they've come up with a good idea of posting your dating (weeks+days) at the bottom of your posts (just so everyone can see where everyone else is), I'm going to do it so I can keep track of myself, but would be great if anyone others fancied it?

9wks

OxfordToLondoner · 05/01/2013 23:06

No constipation, but TERRIBLE wind! I feel lie a walrus just lying horizontally on the sofa the whole time trooping away. My poor poor hubby!

FoofFighter · 05/01/2013 23:14

glad you agree with me Gary Wink

Oxford, pleasant!

Stopsittingonyoursister · 05/01/2013 23:45

Mayanbob lactulose is manna sent from heaven for the first post birth poo. I remember with DC2 it was actually harder passing that than getting DD out!! Shuddering at the memory....

Went to Pizza Express today to mark the end of the school holidays. was very virtuous and had a salad, and then come home and eaten two packets of cheesy Wotsits! May as well have just had the pizza!

Congratulations on your scans Totally and Sugarkane. Gary would they be able to see all that they need to check if your 9 weeks? Hope they haven't got the dates mixed up, that would be awful.

Snuffle hope you're OK.

I have got all my maternity clothes down from the loft today, whilst DH was up there putting away the Christmas decorations for next year. Must get on with putting them through the laundry so they're ready for when I need them, and can then also work out if I need any extras. Has anyone ever managed to find a pair of maternity jeans that look half way decent and actually stay up? I would like some skinny jeans so that at least my legs look thin, but I have tried both over-bump (stretchy panel that just keeps on rolling down) and under-bump (had to constantly keep pulling them back into place) and neither style ever seem to actually work.

MrsWajs thanks for the link, I shall have a look at that info.

No constipation here either, quite the opposite actually (sorry, TMI), with plenty of wind too!

My tummy is getting bigger, DP said today someone's going to guess. I still think it must be bloating, can't be properly showing at 8+6 can I? It is worse as the day goes along so it's got to be bloating. He also helpfully pointed out that one of my boobs is bigger than the other. When I was feeding DD I had much better supply and easier latch on one side, and the other side just never seemed to produce as much, and DD struggled to latch that side. I'm led to believe it's fairly normal, if not particularly attractive. I'm a bit disappointed that it's already that evident though, as if I grow any more it's going to be even more obvious. I don't know if I'm going to get any bigger or not, I hope not as I already have my nursing bras, unused from last pregnancy which mc'd.

Have had a few nights of bad sleep, taking ages to go off and then waking up loads of times for no reason, and then waking up for the loo as well. Plus I seem to need my space to sleep - DP keeps trying to cuddle me, and I'm trying my hardest not to go "Get off get off GET OFF!"

Anyway, I probably ought to go to bed and try to sleep. Night all.

MrsPennyapple · 06/01/2013 00:04

Oh, and 8+6, sorry I forgot! I think it's a good idea though.

MrsWajs · 06/01/2013 08:29

I'm in the disturbed sleep camp too, although i could still fall asleep at the drop of a hat any other time of the day!

Don't know if you can technically be showing at 8+6 pennyapple but i've heard plenty of people say they have been! I'm bloated too and am positive someone will guess way before 12 weeks!!

stopsitting I've tried and failed to find decent mat jeans. Had a skinny pair from next but they were too tight in the crotch and only had a partial bump band so never stayed up well either. It's my mission to find a good pair this time!

Got my first mw appt on thursday morning where apparently i get my notes home to 'fill in' and then take back for next appt!? Didn't do that last time so all new.

I feel enormous, my dp also thinks people are going to guess! I think for me it's just bloating and me giving up on all Pilates and letting it all hang out.. I know it's a bit early but I've been thinking about ELCS Vs VBAC. DS got stuck and was an EMCS but he was big 9.2lb plus his skull was prematurely fused along one suture so it was very long and inflexible. I know the next baby is often bigger but there is only a 1 in 2000 chance of their skulls being fused again. I really enjoyed labour in a weird way and would love to get all the way to pushing the baby out but DP thinks I'm nuts, anyone else thinking about VBAC?

My nausea has eased recently and now my boobs have swelled and the insomnia has kicked in, nice! I quite like the symptoms though. Saw the gp and I've been booked in for midwife in a couple of weeks and scan on 14th feb. looking forward to finding out how pregnant we are!

I have some funny viewing if you haven't seen it, check out the Fiat ad on you tube called motherhood. It made me laugh..

LittleMissSnowShine · 06/01/2013 09:57

pennyapple - same problem, restless sleeper and really needing my space, so nauseous that slightest thing can push me over the edge so cuddles not v welcome!!

stopsitting - also struggled with finding decent maternity jeans. Ended up getting a fab pair as a present frim my mum last time - they were seven jeans customised with a stretchy over the bump bit. Got them in Dublin but think the company that did them were called Blossom? Bit pricy but excellent value cos wore them to death for about 5 months!!

LexiLoganberry · 06/01/2013 10:21

Feeling nauseous this morning, I'm lucky and thankfully don't feel nauseous every day but everytime I cough (left over from my annual christmas cold) I retch.

My lovely DH has started bringing me a cup of tea in bed and leaving me to read a couple of chapters of my book. Bliss.

Want to feel better soon, I need to get on with striping the wallpaper in the lounge and the sitting room.

littlemiss Love those jeans but even the cheaper one's are out of my budget.

LittleMissSnowShine · 06/01/2013 10:27

lexi - me too, thats why my mum got them for me cos i just lived in h&m maternity stuff and cheapo sports direct yoga pants the last time but high st maternity jeans on the whole suck! You can find blossom jeans on ebay tho, some unworn, for about £40. Quite tempted to spring for another pair in black lol

Yvonney · 06/01/2013 10:36

LexiLoganberry - I'm exactly the same, still getting over the cold and when I cough I retchSad No constipation here, complete opposite, I have Crohn's disease though so think that's playing up a bit. I'm trying to eat little and often to combat sicky hangover feeling.
