Tiredofzombies - hear you on the spot front! I've broken out in loads, just what I want for the festive season. Combination of spots, nausea and constant tiredness does NOT make leaving house a very inviting prospect at the minute!!

Sugarkane · 22/12/2012 11:57

Chuckaluck try hot milk, im normally around the same size as you, but im still breastfeeding ds2 on top of being preg, so you can guess they are massive

Tiredofzombies I seem to be turning into a huge spot, Ive read it gives higher chance of a girl, who knows

Monthlywishes - if you look on the web page for the scan place (babybond for eg) it'll tell you on the booking bit when to book for what kind of scan.

I feel really good today despite barely sleeping last night, no nausea today, really hate it when symptoms come and go as it makes you wonder, will I ever be free of the fear of mmc happening again?

TotallyEggFlipped · 22/12/2012 13:45

Am I the only one who's boobs haven't grown?

I do have spots though. Xmas Smile

kriskringlesh · 22/12/2012 14:30

wow been looking for this thread i am due on august 24th so many people here already glad i can talk to more ladies in the same date... i have had very tender breastsTotallyEggFlipped but havent noticed a change, i have spots too lol and am going to the bathroom more frequent have you had any other changes?

FoofFighter · 22/12/2012 16:44

welcome kriskringlesh :)

I'm now analysing the fact the whilst I am still peeing it's not as much as normal and not as horse-pee-like, argh I am tempted to go and buy a digital test to make sure it says 5-6 weeks so that would mean hormone levels have gone up, but I know it's useless really as was still getting symptoms and bfp when had miscarried. MUST STOP OBSESSING - NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!

kriskringlesh · 22/12/2012 16:54

awwww FoofFighter yeah i wouldnt panic everyone is different i still dont have that whole feeling pregnant feeling that women say they get. im so sorry you have been through that :( more reason for you obsessing but you need to relax and enjoy no added stress is needed lol. have you seen your gp or midwife yet?

FoofFighter · 22/12/2012 16:57

no I got told last time by the bitch lady at EPU to go direct to them for a scan so as not to waste the MW time booking in Angry

My scan is booked for 2 days after Christmas. I contemplated going to my nearest Babybond place for a private scan but there is no availability this side of Xmas :(

Snufflebabe · 22/12/2012 17:06

I just got my scan date through - 1 February. It seems AGES away! Got the official lengthy booking in apps with the midwife on the 21 Jan.

Symptoms come and go. Some days I feel so nauseous, others I wake up during the night and can't get back to sleep, sometimes I have period style crampy pains. All I want to eat is stodge.

kriskringlesh · 22/12/2012 17:08

awwwww i had my midwife appointment on tuesday and have already had my scan date through... its weird how different areas have different ways of processing things.. :(

kriskringlesh · 22/12/2012 17:15

hahahahaha loving the "all i want to eat is stodge." thats how i am at the moment too

BlackberryNettle · 22/12/2012 18:31

Yvonny - glad to hear I'm not the only one checking out the maternity wear and prams! I must stop though - it can't be sensible.

I don't really have any symptoms yet apart from near-continuous twinges. This is normal isn't it?! I was rather naughty today and did another first response test in order to see if the line had got darker. It hadn't (I know I'm being ridiculous to have expected it to). I wish time would just pass a bit quicker.

To look on the bright side - Christmas will surely be an excellent distraction for a week or so and then we'll all be one week closer! Wishing everyone lovely Christmas'.

Jollymummy2 · 22/12/2012 19:44

Hi ladies, can I please join the gang?
I am 6 weeks ish due roughly 16th August with number 4!
Have been having a tough few days as DD aged 5 has chicken pox, and my Mum doesn't think I have had it. Had to have a blood test (have a slight issue with needles) to check my immunity levels, only to be told they are inconclusive Hmm so have today had to have a vaccine against catching the pox!
Feeling very sore as had to have two injections - one in each bum cheek.
All of this without telling anyone what was happening as want to wait till scan before sharing our secret.

smilingcl · 22/12/2012 20:54

Hi ladies,

I think I'm in the right thread, I've been feeling nauseous the past couple of weeks but as we've only dtd twice in the last 3 months with the oh so reliable withdrawal method I didn't think I could possibly be pregnant. I did a test today just to be sure and it says 3+ weeks!! Oh shit. DS is only just 1. I've only been back at work since Sept and I'll be off again less than a year later. Plus, how are we ever going to afford two babies in childcare?! Argh!

Still, feel excited and happy that DS1 is going to have a little buddy even if we are going to be poor and knackered.

I think I'm already getting thicker round the middle, need to buy some swampy dresses to hide it, not planning on telling anyone until 12 weeks although a bit of me just wants to say it as I've been getting back into the swing of drinking and dinners and now it's just going to look suspicious.

Congratulations ladies!

Sugarkane · 22/12/2012 21:04

Awww Jolly, chicken pox is the worst, dp got chicken pox on my due date with ds2, he was very ill and covered head to toe, I was stressed as no family here to be my birth partner so was looking at going it alone, luckily ds2 held off until dp had scabbed so he could be with me. I also had all the tests such a stress.

Silver15 · 22/12/2012 21:06

Welcome Kris, jollymum and smilingcl

Nothing much happening here. I'm still nauseous and not sleeping. I can't wait for the second trimester. Hopefully that will be easier. Happy weekend to you all.

ruthietoothie · 22/12/2012 21:12

Congrats smilingcil! Sounds like you are in a similar boat to me! I've got a one year old and about seven weeks p/g. Wasn't exactly 'planned'c but then again we weren't exactly being very cautious so maybe it was what we both wanted deep down!

I'm s**t scared of having two under two, and also feeling really mixed about being p/g again and having to put career on hold - again! But then I just think how amazing it'll be to have two little ones who can play together etc!

Congrats again

Sugarkane · 22/12/2012 22:24

0 to 1 was harder for me than 1 to 2, hope that helps

lexib · 23/12/2012 07:12

Hi everyone, can i join? Am 5+2 weeks pregnant with our first (only just got a handle on that +2 yesterday). And even though it's early my boobs have swollen something chronic - for the sake of not telling pple till 12 wks am going to need minimisers at this rate! Planning on telling family at Christmas, can't quite work out how to say it: we're pregnant /having a baby /you're going to be a grandparent (mum will likely freak at the 'oddness' of that one. Prob doesnt help that it all feels so surreal (in a wonderful way)

Jaclyneyre84 · 23/12/2012 11:52

hello, im just 7 weeks and have an est due date of 12th Aug. got told that i have to wait 8-9wks to see MW, is this normal as i havent seen anyone upto yet? we are planning on telling parents /siblings on Christmas as a surprise, but holding off until 12wks for everyone else. my awesome partner has made a little painting with a stork carrying a baby with the words, were expecting and wrapped them up! i feel like rubbish every day, feeling sick but not being sick, constanty tired and boobs are sooo sore! congrats to everyone else x

chocolatesolveseverything · 23/12/2012 12:33

Congratulations Jaclyn, lexib, and all other recent newcomers,

You will normally see the midwife for the first time between 8-10wks pg, though mine's not booked in till I'm 11 wks.

Funnily enough, my boobs have hardly increased in size at all, though they do feel firmer and more substantial. (Bit jealous of those of you who've got amazing cleavages already... Xmas Grin) I noticed this weekend that my waist is finally starting to get a little bigger, after initially shrinking in the first few weeks. My weight appears to be static though - at least when constipation-related fluctuations are taken out of the equation! (Yuk.)

Nausea has really ramped up. Finishing up my Christmas shopping yesterday in the pouring rain whilst feeling sick every step of the way. I really don't feel festive this year. Xmas Sad But it will be fun to see the reactions of family members when we ll them over the next week. So far only DFIL knows. He's playing it cool, but is rather sweetly sympathetic when asking how I'm feeling.

8+3

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 23/12/2012 12:49

Had my first gp appointment last week and waiting to hear from my re my booking app.

Am 6 weeks today. Still can't seem to shake off negative feelings.....just want to know everything's okay.

PurpleDana · 23/12/2012 12:51

((Yawn)) feel so tired and slightly nauseous the past couple of days so symptoms picking up now - great Hmm
When I first phoned the gp, they told me I had to give them a urine sample so they could have a positive test on record, then when that test came back they booked me in to see midwife when I will be 8wks. Not heard anything about scan yet.

FoofFighter · 23/12/2012 14:18

Hello all, congratulations to the new bfps :)

Well my boobs kept me awake pretty much all night Hmm with f cups they usually hide under my arms (ish) when I lie down, now it looks like I had implants, cannot get comfy at all, can't lie on front like I always do, lie on back and the weight of the duvet hurts, lie on sides, they get squished by one arm and the other I have to put under the pillow which then gets numba nd pins n needles-ey!! Also up 3x for a pee.

Forgot to take my pregnacare/folic acid yesterday oops, my theory on those causing nausea are correct, only feel mildly queasy now, not mega queasy.
