GaryBuseysTeeth · 17/12/2012 12:36

Amelie, will be keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you.
At least everything is bigger atm, hope your dates are just really messed up!

Welcome MrsHende!

I had some spotting last night (thread about it & everythunk), but nothing since then, so counting down the hours days to my scan on Friday.

mamabear85 · 17/12/2012 12:49

Hi all,
I'm expecting my second baby in August, from LMP I'm due the 17th, but have a scan on Thurs so might have a clearer idea.
I have a little girl who is almost 5 and have just qualified as a midwife - so this has been a total shock lol.

:-) x

RuckAndRoll · 17/12/2012 13:08

wow there are loads of us now Smile
I'm on lunch break in an all day meeting with a client, staying professional, focussed and not yawning is proving difficult!
got all my paperwork for my booking in and scan app the other day, here they send you.a huge booklet out, which totally overwhelmed sh Smile

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 17/12/2012 13:35

Thank you....I'm being crabby and hormonal and feel sh*t for leaving dd and going back to work FT and fed up of worrying about this pg all the time.....is anyone else like this? I just want to feel excited and happy but feel so emotional and can't stop crying all the time.

Percephone · 17/12/2012 13:41

Hi, can I join? Think I'm 4+4 today so due date will be 22nd August. I wanted to see the midwife but when I called I was told to see the GP first. So I'm seeing them on Monday. Got a feeling they'll just say ok and tell me to see midwife!

beckie90 · 17/12/2012 14:34

AMELIE exactly same boat as me, I had a scan last week they said all they could see was a sac, bit given I have a womb tilting in my back its harder to see anything, so they have booked me in for another scan Christmas eve where I should be nearly 8wks, I feel exactly the same don't know what to think and going out of my mind. Chin up hun, it seems its progressing for you, so I'm sure by next week ther will be a lovely heartbeat xx

AmelieRose · 17/12/2012 14:58

Thanks Beckie. Hope all ok for you next week too. Think my dates might be wrong and that I might only be 6 weeks this week on Wed/Thurs. That would mean heartbeat might not be there til next week...

Perhaps I'm clutching at straws but hoping I'm right!

beckie90 · 17/12/2012 15:54

Don't worry hun, they told me it all works out dif for differnt people, with my oldest I had a scan at 5wk 4 days also there was nothing there just the sac, thought i was less on cause I was reading there should be a yolk etc but when i had my dating scan at what should have been 12+3 I was actually 13wk 1 day so it shows that the earlier ones arnt too reliable with dating. I hope next week hurrys for us both xx

Lucy411 · 17/12/2012 16:09

Found out yesterday think I'm due start of aug and have an 11 month old little boy :) was a nice little surprise for Christmas! No champagne breakfast for me! X

Mrsd77 · 17/12/2012 16:32

beckie and Amelie such a tricky time for you having to wait like this. Had the same with my first pregnancy. Really hoping all is well. Christmas makes everything so much harder.

Love I had a very similar conversation with DH last night whilst I sobbed my way through my woes. The first 12 weeks is such hard work!!! The sickness and feeling pathetic does you in, whilst comforting at the same time.

Afm, just had a wonderful time taking DS to see Father Christmas!! So exciting for all three of us! X

Chuckaluck · 17/12/2012 17:10

Had my midwife appt today. She was lovely and I have a million and one leaflets to read but had to be referred to consultant due to my BMI. Not sure what this means or involves. Think midwife could see I was a bit upset and said not to worry but anyone got any experience of this and what happens?

nicnic79 · 17/12/2012 17:36

hi guys I'm proper fed up :'( feel tired and mardy and tummy feels really sore as though I have been doing excessive exercise which I haven't . I'm 8+4 not heard off the mid wife service yet . should I have done ? quite a few of you seemed to have had a scan or midwife appt

sparkle101 · 17/12/2012 18:08

Hey chuckaluck. With dd I was referred to a consultant at the hospital due to my bmi and think I will be again this time too. The consultant regularly checked blood pressure and urine test after urine test! I was put on blood pressure tablets as a precaution and had to have a test for pregnancy diabetes - has a posh name but can't remember what it's called.

It was a pain in the bum to have extra appointments but it meant I got to see/hear dd a lot more as I got lots if extra scans about 8 in total. I think high bmi is a cause for concern with the diabetes and pre eclampsia but they keep such an eye on you it's very reassuring!

sparkle101 · 17/12/2012 18:10

Please may I join? Have been putting off joining as really nervous about jinxing it but I'm jumping in with both feet now!

Already have a dd, and am 5+1 with this one, who coincidentally has the same due date as dd's birthday! Morning sickness has started which I was hoping to avoid as last pregnancy I had it every single day! But once I'm sick I can get on with my day, lets hope it stays like that!

Chuckaluck · 17/12/2012 18:37

Thanks sparkle, had been loosing weight so knew my BMI was high but didn't really realise it would be considered such a risk factor. I suppose I should look on the bright side if I get more scans!!! Xmas Smile

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 17/12/2012 19:10

Thanks mrsd....i seriously cant cope I'm crying all the time. At least 5/6 times a day, first thing in the morning cry myself to sleep...i hate working and leaving dd, I hate the fact I cant stop obsssively worrying that I'll lose this baby.

I hate myself and cant cope.

TotallyEggFlipped · 17/12/2012 19:17

Is anyone else feeling less sick now? I should be glad I'm feeling better, but instead I'm just worried it means there's something wrong.
(there's no pleasing some people, is there? Wink)

beckie90 · 17/12/2012 19:35

NICNIC no midwife service for me as yet can't get my gp appointment till next week, have you rang your gp to see what's happening. And about the scans you don't have early ones unless theres a problem, like a few of us have had bleeding, which is why been scanned early. So scan should be between 11-13 weeks xx

GaryBuseysTeeth · 17/12/2012 19:57

Welcome Mama, Perc & Lucy.

Love, sorry you're feeling so down. Is there anyone you can talk to about it?
Are you in/can you get into a financial position that means you can stay-at-home for awhile?

I've been spotting a little bit last night/today, so now really looking forward to scan on Friday. DH has said, if everything is fine on Friday, I can go for as many scans as I want until 12wks...dangerous as I don't think they'll be happy with me turning up everyday! Xmas Grin

diyqueen · 17/12/2012 20:16

I was on here but waving farewell and wishing everyone all the best, am miscarrying (confirmed today) so no lovely August baby for me any more :-(

TotallyEggFlipped · 17/12/2012 20:22

diyqueen, I'm sorry sorry to hear we're losing you. Sending you a virtual hug and all the best for the future. I hope you can enjoy christmas and it all works out well for you next time.

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 17/12/2012 20:53

am so sorry to hear that diy.....hugs.

Mrsd77 · 17/12/2012 20:55

diy I'm so very sorry. Hope you start to feel ok soon. Take time for yourself.

Love did you feel like this last time? Hormones are terrible things! My pg with DS is a bit of a blur but DH has been reminding me that all of my erratic behaviour reminds him of my last successful pg. can you talk to your DP? I remember when I went back to work. Was a basket case! Can't imagine what it would be like during early pg too!

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 17/12/2012 20:56

gary thank you....unfortunately dh is unwilling to let me quit work as we need both salaries....plus we have a 1 year and am 5weeks pg so I guess it wouldn't be great timing now......I feel so lonely at work. There's no one I can talk to or trust, I miss my baby so badly.

Didn't feel very sick today.....worried its not a great sign. I though ms was meant to get worse around 5/6 weeks?

sunflowerlady · 17/12/2012 20:58

Anyone else see the Duchess on SPOTY last night? She looked amazing!

I'm just bloated beyond belief with wind, hair is lifeless, skin is dry and tired. I'm in bed for 9pm (latest) every night and don't feel one but like socialising!
Perhaps she didn't too so fair play to her!

Roll on 2nd trimester is all I can say :-)
