DANA do u mean around 6weeks? I'm 6+4 and due 7th of august, so your only 3 days behind me if due on 10th of august.

Havnt been on in a while so just been catching up on the posts. Congrats to all the new bfps.

Morning sickness or should I say evening sickness has kicked in now so taking that as a posative sign, I have 8 days to go to my scan, getting nervous now.

Hi Everyone! I found out I was BFP a couple of weeks ago - now 7 wks pregnant with my first DC, due on 3rd August. It was a bit of a shock at first, as we'd only been trying for a couple of months - and assumed it would take ages. Also I'm a bit scared because I don't know what to expect. But we are also obviously over the moon! Only told our parents so far, and I have told my boss, so things at work are a bit easier. Really want to tell some of my closest friends, but DH thinks we should wait until after the first scan. So far, I am feeling fine apart from being tired all the time. Fingers crossed for the next 7 months!

hi everyone

Well my ms has kicked off with a vengeance and has been like that for about a week as soon as I get in the bathroom that's it! feeling alot worse than I ever did with dc. Have midwife appointment tomorrow so can make things official by my dates ill be 7 week on Tuesday. I am although petrified of telling work as there is a lot of change atm an I think I need to tell them sooner rather than later.What do you guys think?

Zen, sorry to hear your ms is really bad, but at least it's a good sign, good luck at your appointment tomorrow!
What are the changes at work? Is it retraining or something that they'll need to organise around your maternity leave etc?

love, not sure if cramping is worse (looking out for every twinge atm) but my nausea is much better this time around (so far).

Hello all - another newbie here with a BFP for dc1 due 2nd August ish. Had plenty of cramps, nausea, sore boobs and some quite impressive bloating! Joy!
Really excited about the pregnancy though and thrilled at BFP after only a couple of months TTC - I was settling in for the long haul!

Hi all. Checking in after a week of silence. Hi to everyone new!

Good grief my ms is horrendous! I'm averaging a good old hurl between three and four times a day. Feel foul but I'm comforted by it as still having the occasional spot when I wipe. No pain or anything. Dr Google said sometimes these bleeds near the sac can take a while to free themselves. I wish it was done with though. DH says I'm behaving exactly as I did with DS so that's helping too.

I'm delighted by the Stilton revelation! Wish I'd checked in earlier as just back home from a lovely lunch with friends and I declined the cheese board!

A) how to disguise not drinking at client lunches and jollys
B) excuses for midwife/docs appointmemts

Love you forever... On a client lunch id just have soft drink and not make thing of it as standard for lots of people not to drink middle of day. On night dos I'd go with bottle of beer and just pretend to sip it, or have a drink like lemonade which could have vodka in it (depends a bit on context, whether there's a bar etc which is easier as can pretend to be drinking spirits when not...)

On appts, guess depends a bit on when planning on telling work. If going to do it fairly soon after 12 week mark then won't be that many appts to disguise so can just say doctors, dentists, t
Etc. if went to wait longer could make up a simple complaint that investigating but I'd probably not bother with that as only going to know you were lying when you do tell them.

Ps sugrkane glad you'd recommend the small age gap. The more used I get to being pregnant the more excited I get about having two close together. Just keeping everything crossed that all continues to go well

Am feeling comforted that we are all On the ms train together!! Have even been suffering with my hips already so I know I'm in for the long haul :) an keep telling myself to dig deep.
Gary- it's a restructure where instead of me sharing a responsibility of a very large team our teams an responsibilities are being split up an last week my manager told me she wanted to put me on a 3 year plan to learn more of her role! Tbh i can't be bothered with it all anymore she is often up an down an makes things difficult. I am the most nervous about telling work than anyone else in life!! How sad of me x

Can I jump aboard? Got my BFP about an hour ago, still in shock!

Think my due date is 18th August but I'm not certain as I've only had two periods since I stopped breastfeeding my 13 month old DD so don't really know my cycle length. That one cycle was 30 days but before I had DD my cycle was anywhere from 26-36 days.

Will read the rest of the thread as soon as I can!

Hi everyone - not been on in a while, can't believe how many posts there are now!

I've just been for my second early scan (last one ten days ago because of bleeding revealed I was 5 1/2 weeks, not 7 as I thought). Was hoping to see the heartbeat but no luck.

The foetal sac has doubled in size and there's the beginnings of the foetal pole, but no heartbeat yet. The midwife said she'd have liked to have seen more, but that it could be that dates are wrong (again) and it's still too early. She asked me if we wanted to go back on Christmas Eve or wait til after Christmas, but would rather know so Christmas Eve it is. Trying to be positive but it's very hard. Been crying since we left the hospital and had to phone work to say I won't be in. Keep everything crossed for me folks!

Am 6+1 today, slightly concerned as DP and I dtd on Saturday night and had pinkish discharge yesterday. Seems back to normal now but am keeping an eye on it.
