Congrats jaylee!

I'm early for a client. Possibly the last time I'll see them before juniors born (although currently battling it out with hmrc as may need to work next week too, grr). I'm a bit sad! I like this client, they always have cake for meetings...

kirrinIsland · 09/11/2012 12:58

Congratulations jaylee Grin That is a really beautiful name. Hope you are both doing well.

((hugs)) DH these bloody hormones have a lot to answer for don't they...

I've decided that this baby needs to come tomorrow as I like the date. Not that I'm setting myself up for disappointment or anything. I've decided that constant BHs, some more painful contractions and lots of bloody goo obviously mean nothing - it's been a week now. I'm clearly going to be induced at 42 weeks!

I'm just about to settle down with a hot chocolate and fill in this job app form - better get it done before the baby arrives or it'll never happen!

FatimaLovesBread · 09/11/2012 13:08

Kirrin I want the baby to come tomorrow, because of the date but it's also DHs birthday. Or Monday's date would be good. Or 21.11.12 but I don't want to wait that long

FatimaLovesBread · 09/11/2012 13:12

Just been updating the stats list on my computer (will add it to the thread shortly). So far we've had 30 babies -18 boys and 12 girls!

kirrinIsland · 09/11/2012 13:16

21.11.12 looks good too but the thought of that makes me want to cry - I will be 42 weeks then!!

TheDetective · 09/11/2012 13:27

I'll catch up later - out walking! Sweep was a fecking disaster. Can't reach cervix. Fuck fuck fuck. I'm so unbelievably disappointed. I asked for another, guess when it will be? Next friggin' Thursday. I'll be T+12.

I'm so worried that I won't be able to get this baby out at home the longer it goes on :(

I dont care about being over due. I just want things to start naturally and to happen as they should! I don't want the stress that I know will arrive next thurs when I go in for daily monitoring. That means doctors are around and I just don't need the stress.

I'll not mention the period pain and brown discharge since the failed sweep because that might make me optimistic and we all know what happens then...

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2012 13:35

Hoorah hoorah for jaylee!

More sitting on my butt watching Prison Break.

Sister had a very long night but is finally 2-3 cm dilated. She is getting her waters broken at 3. Long slog for her.

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2012 13:38

Bums detective.

Only symptom I had from my sweep was a bloody show. No contractions or anything. We have decided to have a curry lunch tomorrow which I am looking forward to - probabl a sure fire way to ensure I go into labour tonight

StuntNun · 09/11/2012 13:47

Congratulations Jaylee I love the name as well.

I love Tim Minchin. In fact I've just added a TM DVD to my Xmas list of presents wot I want. Nobody's asked me for the list yet, but here's hoping...! That song made me well up but not so much the John Lewis ad, MM, snowmen? Anything with kids in, especially little boys make me think of DS and get all blubbery.

Congrats jaylee, what a lovely name.

After 3 days of mat leave at home doing v little on my own, I have DS back today and been to playgroup this am, and got friends round for more play later. Tired out! I'm not due till 27th, although I don't really want bubs to come early as appreciating the time to get things done, I do wonder how I'd manage with DS for potentially another 4+ weeks...lots of Peppa Pig for sure.

katkit1 · 09/11/2012 14:06

Congratulations Jaylee - that's a lovely name choice

WaitingForMe · 09/11/2012 14:08

Congratulations jaylee

I know how you feel kirrin. I had similar symptoms to you a week ago and am still hanging on. I'm hoping all the painful BHs are toughening us up and actual labour will be a breeze. I know that a BH that made me wince and cry out a week ago now barely breaks my stride.

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/11/2012 14:10

Congratulations jaylee!!

Chunkychicken · 09/11/2012 14:10

Congrats Jaylee wonderful news.Thanks

kissyfur · 09/11/2012 15:04

Congrats jaylee! Lovely name Smile

shanelle5 · 09/11/2012 15:09

Lovely baby news JAYLEE Congratulations and I hope you are enjoying your little Girls and those precious first cuddles.
Detective what an absolute bummer. When you get to this stage every day feels like a week and you build up all and every milestone and event like a visit from the MW and analyse every littel twinge so I can undertand the disapointment. Really with you on the worry for next week as you know, I am not even thinking about my booked induction Wednesday as I WILL get this baby out over the weekend! loks wistfully over at birth pool in corner

jaylee what a gorgeous name!!! Congrats xx

Well after a melt down and a therapy cry and then pulling my socks up if I could reach my bloody socks I went in to town and did what I had to then came home and went to bed!!!

I'm waiting til this evening to go to work for a sweep so that if things kick off she'll come in the morning!!!

Dss are pretty self sufficient it's just the 3 boys are between 14 & 12 and dd is 6 so they exclude her and she's over the moon to see them and it all ends in tears with me screaming at them to play with her usually mine lol

I think we should have a mass exodus of babies all coming tomorrow so they have a memorable birthday!!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/11/2012 15:52

I wanted baby to come today, then DH, DS and the baby would all have a birthday of the 9th. Plus ds was born on a Fri so that would have been cool.

I hauled my bum in gear and took ds to the park, only lasted an hour but better than nothing. Hes happier for it and I feel less guilty about being in this morning!

Jims · 09/11/2012 16:13

Another baby here. Frederick (Freddie) born at 8.55pm at home in water after less than 2 hours in labour. It was only at 7pm that I was deciding whether or not to go to aquanatal - v glad I didn't! There was a mad dash down the road to take DS1 to a friend's house to stay the night whilst the pool was left filling by my DH. Fortunately the midwife made it in time (just) although without anything other than her delivery kit so no gas and air for me! Was a bit in shock yesterday but have taken it very easy today. Freddie was 9lb 10oz and has a massive head as well (99%) and I'm only 5'4! Homebirth was great, I loved not having to go to hospital. Fortunately I got a very experienced midwife who did my (inevitable!) stitches at home to avoid a transfer.

Jims · 09/11/2012 16:13

I forgot to say yesterday. obviously

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2012 16:15

jims, what am amazing experience. It sounds wonderful. Congratulations to you.

Bluetinkerbell · 09/11/2012 16:20

I was just asked on the school run what I had... Hmm nothing yet... Baby is still in there! Grin wish she was out though... Curry for tea tonight!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/11/2012 16:24

Congrats to you jims!

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2012 16:26

I got a congratulations card from my GP today. It was pink. I have no baby yet and have no idea what sex it is.
