Good luck peaky! Baby photos by tea time please!! Grin

Sorry to hear about breakin chunky. Bastards. I'm far too lacks about security here - don't think we've ever locked patio or back doors and only occasionally remember to lock front door at night. Baby brain even left the keys in the car ignition overnight recently Blush. Puts things in perspective.

Dh just home and presented me with a bacon sandwich. he's still a twat though. His relief skipper's wife went into labour this morning (due same time as us) which was enough to put the fear of god into him for forgetting his phone!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/11/2012 09:31

barmee same here, been having BHs all morning since waking but they're not regular so not paying much attention.
My waters going were also the first sign with ds so I knew for sure it was labour!

chunky sorry to hear about the break in that must have been scary to find out :(

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2012 09:49

Aw chunky that's awful. It gets me really irate that some people think it is okay to take things which don't belong to them! My MIL had this happen to her a couple of years ago. She was out the back of her sister's house having a ciggie and someone burst the log on the front door and took her handbag. Horrible to think of someone standing there - what if she had come back in to the room? I don't know how you feel better after that but I hope you do feel better soon.

BarmeeMarmee · 09/11/2012 09:53

Chunky that's awful! Really sorry to hear that. Are you ok?

Well I've just been to the toilet an had a bit of a show so now hoping slightly more that maybe this is for real. Still not holding my breath though!

Can anyone remind me how to use a TENS machine?! Lol.

Chunkychicken · 09/11/2012 09:59

Thanks all. But of a shock, but thankfully all they did was take a bag that was right by a window (obviously they've just seen it & had a go) and not come into the house at all. They took a couple of tools from a garden shed, but as it can't currently be locked, that's not really an issue. The stupid thing is they wouldn't have got anything of value from the bag; a phone that's now blocked, cards that are now cancelled (& weren't used) and £5 cash. The worst bit is DH's ID/work pass. That's more hassle than the rest put together!!! Oh and the house keys, so we'll have to change all of those. Just what we needed though...Hmm

Sorry, didn't register much of what was happening with everyone else as I skimmed through, but good luck Peaky hope things progress smoothly & quickly. Hope things do kick off properly Barmee & DH.

WaitingForMe · 09/11/2012 10:03

DH just texted to say that a woman in his office who went into hospital just after the redundancies were announced with gallbladder issues and came home a fortnight ago lost consciousness last night and has now died. Gives a bit of perspective to our problems Sad

And I just saw on another thread. None of us will be pregnant at Christmas, lets remember that! Smile

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2012 10:20

waiting that is awful. Certainly does give pause for thought. That song is one of my favourites ever. I certainly couldn't listen to it now though - blubberama! I am actually just a tiny little bit in love with Mr Minchin.

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/11/2012 10:26

I'm absolutely fucking shattered, I'm sick of getting up 100 times a night for a wee then not being able to get back to sleep for hours.

I know it'll be worse when baby is here but at least I won't be huge and uncomfy.

StuntNun · 09/11/2012 10:34

Right, just seen the consultant at 40+1. He did a sweep but Bishop's score was 4 and baby's head was only 1/5 engaged. I have had BH and a few proper pains but nothing that didn't die down after an hour or so. No sign of mucous plug or waters breaking. This all adds up to baby not arriving in the near future doesn't it? I'm not in any particular rush but a bit concerned that I've been given an induction date if 40+11 to have the first gel which seems rather far away, I could be having this baby at 42 weeks which would give me concerns about the placenta seeing as I had an ante partum haemorrhage with DS1. Let's hope things kick off by themselves in the next week.

Off to Subway to get my fix. I'm going to stick with 12" sandwiches until baby's born although I have reached my weight gain target on 2 stone so I don't want to put on too much more as I was on the large side of normal BMI before I got pregnant.

Happy birthday mrswee cacacaz and georgee Thanks

Sorry about the break in chunky - not nice :(

waiting that does put things in perspective doesn't it :(

peaky good luck, hope it's quick and painless!

MissMummy1 · 09/11/2012 10:51

Heads up, the new John Lewis Christmas Ad is a real blub fest Blush

applepieinthesky · 09/11/2012 10:59

Sorry to hear that chunky. I'm glad nothing of value was taken but it's still not pleasant to know someone has been in your house Sad

waiting that is awful news, poor poor woman.

I had the worst nights sleep ever last night. I must have woken up about 20 times and couldn't sleep at all from 3am to about 4am. I never usually have problems sleeping and never wake up to go to the toilet. I just kept waking thinking 'when is this baby going to arrive?' 39 weeks today - you don't need to wait any longer baby Cassius!

Iheartpasties · 09/11/2012 11:02

I'm tired (it's 10.00 pm here) and it's times like this that I just hope for a good night sleep and no baby till morning!

kalidasa · 09/11/2012 11:34

37 weeks today! I can tell I'm going to be practically the last left on this thread and will have to do a last minute hop to the December one instead . . .

DP got really stressed a couple of days ago about how we weren't ready so I finally sat down and did a giant Amazon order for nappies, breast pads etc and now they are all arriving. Hopefully we'll be able to pack a hospital bag this weekend and then he'll feel a bit less anxious. Surprisingly I am feeling quite calm at the moment, though struggling to eat much with the sickness and feeling quite puffy now in my hands and feet which I haven't before. My MIL is visiting this weekend so need to find the energy for polite conversation in French!

Sorry for everyone who is feeling really fed up with partners/husbands/being pregnant. I'm sure I'll be super-grumpy too within another week or so.

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/11/2012 11:36

I keep crying for no reason Confused I just had a meltdown, the baby is on my bladder so everytime I move it really stings.

I hate crying in front of ds he gets upset too and doesnt understand.

MM might have the give the advert a miss!

MissMummy1 · 09/11/2012 11:41

Kali I'm due 29th/30th (depending on what page of my notes you look at - it changes throughout but I'm sticking with 29th as that's what I calculated!) so I'm fairly certain I'll be sticking it out to the bitter end with you!

applepieinthesky · 09/11/2012 11:50

kali I'm 39 weeks but absolutely no signs in the last couple of days of anything happening. I'm sure I'll go over and if I end up being induced it will be a late November possibly even early December baby. I hope not but I've had no back ache, no Braxton Hicks for a few days, no show, no nausea, nothing.

applepieinthesky · 09/11/2012 11:50

(((((Hugs)))) dh

Titsalinabumsquash · 09/11/2012 12:04

On the note of not being ready.... I packed my bags weeks before due date. I had everything from all the lists for me and J and yet when it came to the hospital, I had no wash bag, not enough pads and J had nothing that even nearly fit and no blankets Blush it really wasn't an issue, they have supplies for the short term and made no fuss at all about letting us have a blanket and a pack of maternity towels and a hat for as soon as J was born. Smile

jaylee89 · 09/11/2012 12:14

Hello ladies just a quick update elanna Rae born yesterday at 5.14pm weight was 7 pounds 8oz. Quick labour once it started will update full birth story later. She's beautiful and just wanna thank you all and wish you all best of luck xxxxxxx

applepieinthesky · 09/11/2012 12:31

Congrats jaylee what a beautiful name

My little brother just passed his driving test first time Smile So pleased for him. He has not had a lot of luck lately and it's so nice to have some good news for once.

ShellyBobbs · 09/11/2012 12:32

Oooohhhh, congratulations Jaylee, hope everything is OK and you're both well Thanks Will look forward to reading your update Grin

Lilliana · 09/11/2012 12:37

Gah, wrote a long message as I caught up and bloody computer decided to shut down with no warning and lost it all. Grrrr

Happy Birthday MrsWee Cacacaz and Georgee, hope your DH's sort it out and you have a lovely day Thanks

Congratulations Jaylee!

So sorry to hear about the break in Charlee hope you are ok x

Barmee and Peaky hope things are moving on for you (and anyone else with exciting twinges I have missed)

Glenda I'm the same - bored bored bored! Never thought I'd say this but am missing work!

Waiting how awful, it does put things into perspective. I'm sorry your DH didn't get the job and really hope something else comes up soon, it's so frustrating when it goes internally.

Wasn't around yesterday as DH took the day off work and we had a lovely lazy day together. Think we both needed it and I am very grateful that he doesn't seem to be following the annoying DH trend that's going on.

ShellyBobbs · 09/11/2012 12:38

It's my due date by scan tomorrow, and wouldn't mind it coming tomorrow because of the date and weekend is convenient for childcare for the others. My dates give me a due date of Wednesday, but to be honest, although I'm in pain and aching and have this sodding rash (that is now tearing), I'm really not arsed if I go right over, plus unless medically necessary, they've been told I don't want induction either, so I could very well go to the end of the month too. Am I mad? Think it's the 8 year gap and knowing ALL the chaos I'm letting myself in for Grin

Strangely, apart from a couple of hours of grumps, I seem to bypass ALL hormonal emotions! I had them with my first, but not with the other 2 either......strange.....(watch this space lol)

FatimaLovesBread · 09/11/2012 12:51

Congratulations Jaylee!

Had my 38 week appointment, she says the head won't get any lower without coming out Grin Also said the baby is taking up every bit of space in my bump and there's no room left for it to go. Apart from out.
Fingers crossed it gets a wriggle on. Got a consultant appointment at 39+5 and then midwife at 41weeks so hoping it will be here by then (Please!)
