Congrats everso :)

Don't think I'll be on there fatima I'm due the 20th with a boy. Aged 30 and first child.

SwissArmyWife · 06/11/2012 16:07

Congrats everso I hope you are getting lots of rest and enjoying your gorgeous boy :)

40 weeks on Friday and hoping he hurries up! Had MW appointment today and she has booked me in for a sweep on Wednesday. She asked me if I'd rather wait until 42 weeks - ummm no!!
She said she has magic fingers and the last sweep she did was at 3pm, the woman had her baby by 9pm the same day.
Anyway fingers crossed he'll arrive this week.

Have just scoffed half a tin of pineapple with chunks of cheese to go with it, could eat it again! I'm so hungry all the time these days!

Passmethecrisps · 06/11/2012 16:13

Brilliant idea fatima. I had thought about this myself but seeing as I have been so busy sleeping I didn't get round to it. Great job!

I must get up off the couch and do something other than sleep. I am annoying myself.

Passmethecrisps · 06/11/2012 16:14

Oh blimey and of course, congrats due date buddy everso. Spencer is an awesome name. Fabulous.

Chunkychicken · 06/11/2012 16:20

That's excellent Fatima I was just thinking earlier whether a stats update had been done...:)

I keep getting under bump sharp 'nervy' pains. Should I be concerned or just put it down to ligaments/baby descending into my pelvis as I walk?

DH can empathise with the wishful thinking/hoping for the slightest sign!!!

FatimaLovesBread · 06/11/2012 16:24

I've added you pikz

Today on cooking with fatima I have baked some butterfly buns Smile
Not sure about tea though, might do pizza and chips or something easy.

TMI ALERT I got a bit worried an hour or so ago as I didn't think i'd felt any movement this morning. Went for a huge poo! So huge I thought it might be the baby Blush Then immediately after she started wriggling about. Wonder if my giant turd had been squashing the baby? Grin

pikz · 06/11/2012 16:27

Am laughing at the thought of a giant turd squashing a baby! :D

Crossing everything that everyone's twinges including mine are true signs of labour. Am bored of being a hormonal pregnant woman who had breakdowns about milk.

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/11/2012 16:32

fatima can I come live with you so I can eat your yummy food?! Also I can sympathise on the poo squashing the baby feeling! I go daily atm, sometimes more than once and she still wriggles around loads afterwards, she really must be running out of room now.

Great job on the stats list :)

Well I've sat watching TV and playing with the internet for most of the day and am quite bored now. Had to wait in for Tesco who were on time but the AA repair people were supposed to have turned up to sort the leaking toilet out between 12-4 and I'm still stuck in waiting for them. Oh well.

Congrats to everso, hope your recovery goes ok.

Have had the odd few, sometimes painful, BH but nothing sustained so far. Really really just want to get on with it now. I know my due date is technically tomorrow but that was after I pushed for a later one due to long cycles and wanting to avoid an induction so am feeling overdue even if not according to my paperwork. Am now wondering whether that was my best decision since I'm starting to get the 'just want the baby out' grumps - way more than last time when I was happy to sit it out for longer. Maybe I'll phone my midwife and beg for a sweep later this week.

In better news my platelet levels have come up a bit so there's no immediate risk of my homebirth going out the window.

DonnaDoon · 06/11/2012 16:54

Gosh Well done Fatima that must have taken you an age to read back and type up...You ve done good....All us with newborns barely have time to read let alone post now lol x

kirrinIsland · 06/11/2012 16:55

Brilliant job Fatima - thanks!

Dixiebell · 06/11/2012 16:57

Baby brain & body: went to Sainsbury's, did a massive shop, took ages and my back was aching, then realised in the queue I didn't have my purse. Duh. Had to ask them to hold my trolley while I drove back home to get it. Blush Then finally paying for my stuff I managed to drop a box of eggs which smashed all over the floor. Blush

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 16:57

Well the drive was ok in the end - but still getting all kinds of random pains! It is a mix of BH's, backache, pelvic pain/pressure, and some contraction type pain (that I remember so well from DS! No memory loss for me!). It happens frequently, but no pattern at all.

Went for a walk round Asda which made things come on stronger, but I felt a bit of a tit as I kept stopping and closing my eyes! Then I went faint when I tried bending over, and felt very nauseous. Gave it up as a bad job and came home! So now, I'm bouncing on the ball, which is making typing interesting to say the least!

Having one now, makes me wince a little, but not enough to even bother taking paracetomol. So I conclude this baby to be a little git who is just tormenting me.

I've been singing to him... 'Baby can I hold you tonight, baby if I told you the right words, oooh, at the right time, you'd be mine'. Defo staying put now, poor child doesn't need me singing!

Any change Sophia?!

Jims · 06/11/2012 17:24

oooh detective that sounds promising. I just got cheered up by going to the loo to discover slight discharge - nothing like a full on show - but more than I've seen so far in this pregnancy. It's the little things that matter at this point! Oh and I've finally been told the repair man will be here by 6. I just wish they'd told me earlier so I could have pootled down to the library to return my overdue book.

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/11/2012 17:37

The only productive thing I've done all afternoon is answer a phone survey about our water supply and was given a £5 boots voucher in return, not bad for 20 mins 'work'

Feel like I could poo again, really 4 in one day is a bit much.
Really want this baby this week I've got no plans it would brighten up this miserable weather.

My friend is 33ish weeks and had a growth scan yesterday, said she'd text me after and she didnt. I've text her twice today and still no reply now getting worried.

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 18:29

Well I've well and truly cleared out now Shock so let's see if it all stops!!! Fecksake!

Lilliana · 06/11/2012 18:32

Great job fatima it must have taken you ages. I kept wondering about the stats but was too lazy to actually do anything about it!

Congratulations Everso love the name and hope you are ok xx

Have managed to do a few more things off my list but shattered now. DH is off cycling so I'm alone and bored!

FatimaLovesBread · 06/11/2012 18:36

I better not go in to labour today, I've just noticed I've got my knickers on inside out and they've been like that all day. No point changing them now Smile

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/11/2012 18:39

Evening ladies, home now, able to walk a lot better the grazed and swollen fanjo aside

Johnathan is an angel, he's struggling with wind so after feeding which he is great at he spends all his time grimacing and rolling his eyes about.
The boys adore their new brother and we're all happy to be back home together. We've only had 1 dirty nappy today though although he 'feeds' a lot, I don't think I have milk properly yet though so I'm not sure what's going on. We'll get there though I'm sure. Smile

My Internet is down at home so I'll be checking in when I can. Happy, labouring thoughts to you all Smile

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 18:47

Yay Tits that is fab news! Apart from your internet - get back on here quickly!!

I have decided I don't like having 2 threads! I miss everyone :(

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 18:48

Fatima inside out knickers is better than the no knickers look I've been sporting today!

DP turned all my big white knickers grey. I have a night of bleaching knickers ahead....

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/11/2012 18:52

detective I am so glad you are here with me! I am getting contractions now and again and they make me wince and I have to breathe through but I can manage without pain relief.

I feel really shit, everyone is on standby to look after DS, DH stayed at home today. And nothing is happening, I feel pressure to perform but I have no control. Then I feel like everyone will just be annoyed with me.

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 19:03

Feeling the same Sophia I sent DP off to work as he doesn't work far away. Plus I know what they are like - they would have started his paternity leave the bastards! (They've already stopped any of his regular overtime since I was 37 weeks twats not like we need the money or anything) Hmm

And then I know this can stop and start for days weeks/months ARGHH!

DP off for next 2 days, and short shift friday, so at least school run will be covered I guess! Then it is just a case of my body doing what it bloody well knows it has to! Evil body!

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 19:05

DP just text me as he has finished work. He said 'I love you'. I said 'Hurry the fuck home I need to whinge and I'm fed up'.

I'm sure he will be breaking all speed limits getting here Hmm

Poor DP!
