Oooh DH21 sounds interesting. I think I can feel the head, not through my cervix but just pressing again my vagina, feels a lot narrower. I was telling DH that I don't think he'd fit in there (sorry TMI)

Waiting Fingers crossed Smile

I had a good nights sleep again! That's two in a row. I got up twice for a wee but managed to get back to sleep. Going to have a lazy day today I think. There's not much left to do around the house, well not that urgently needs doing. Might go through our finances and make a spreadsheet [geek]

It's DHs birthday on Saturday so trying to think of something to do. He's not bothered, said I don't need to get him anything and the baby's his present, Think I might see if my sis and BIL fancy going out for a meal with us

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/11/2012 12:23

pass hope it's a sign of labour because I've had a crappy cold since last thurs/ fri. It's really starting to get on my nerves!

fatima lol I know what you mean about nothing else fitting there! (Still trying tho just in case it starts something off!)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/11/2012 12:27

fatimaa friend? Confused

shelley I am glad that your rash is improving, but the flea infestation must be a bit of a pain, I second the shaving motion.

detective would be so great to have a friend in the "latent" phase, I'd lonely in here!

Good luck to waitings DH, hope all goes well today.

Just had an hours reflexology, was very relaxing and had four contractions during the session so was extremely excited. They are proper stingers, breathe throughers, not BH so I know I am heading in the right direction, just at snail pace.

ValiumQueen · 06/11/2012 12:30

detective DS has put on 6oz since Saturday thank fuck! No more weighing until 6 weeks. HV lovely.

In case anyone has not seen the post natal thread, my son had lost too much weight, and I was getting pressured to give formula. There were no signs he was unwell, so I refused. He is doing fine now, (was all along, but is now gaining weight) so if you experience similar, do not feel bullied to do something you do not need to do unless they can convince you there is good reason to do so.

Miss you guys, but I just cannot keep up with your chat!

Brockle · 06/11/2012 12:47

Grrr.. looks like I am entering the rumoured DC3 long latent phase. Period like pains every ten minutes last night and getting stronger then nothing. Woken in the night with dull back ache and pains then nothing so no sleep after that. The odd contraction today but nothing definite. I could be like this for the next two weeks (38 weeks today) or more.

At first it was nice to feel something was happening. Not now.

Fingers crossed it is soon for detective and sophie Smile

Peaky1 · 06/11/2012 13:01

Just found a family bag of mini chocolate fingers unattended in the cupboard. You snooze - you lose! Yes, this is the most exciting thing that has happened to me today so far.......already feel quite sick from eating them like crisps for the past 10 mins Sad

Peaky1 · 06/11/2012 13:03

Glad your son is piling it on now VQ. I look forward to the support and experience in the post-natal thread if and when I have a HV telling me I'm not doing something right!

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/11/2012 13:08

I've just eaten 3/4 of a box of choc fingers, they're so more ish!

Really need to sleep but ds is running around like a loony because he had a random early nap in the buggy/ car so I couldn't sleep at the same time grr!

Dixiebell · 06/11/2012 13:18

37 weeks today.

Just eaten a whole pizza and bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes with cream . Still hungry. Considering cuppa and fondant fancy....

Good luck to everyone with signs & symptoms!

Ahhhhh am struggling today. Took DD to her swimming lesson this morning and was all just a bit much. I find it hard to get dressed/undressed in the best of conditions but we go to a private pool so doesn't have the usual changing room facilities (ie chairs!). And the walk back used to take me around 15 mins but was at least double today due to my snail like pace. Really hoping I don't have to do it pregnant next week.

Got a house viewing tomorrow evening so am trying to get the house as straight as I can incase I go into labour tonight (wishful thinking). But DD is making mess as quickly as I tidy so am giving up!

Hope all those with niggles/labour signs go on to full speed ahead baby time. This waiting period is so frustrating isn't it.

CharleeWarlee · 06/11/2012 14:02

No new babies yet! Disappointing lol

I have had quite bad back ache since yesterday afternoon, which went on through the night and is the same today. Also had period pain/cramps but nothing consistent or regular. My stomach is really tight, and the pressure in my fanjo is ridiculous to the point i struggled to lift my leg up to get into the car! (Vauxhall Corsa so quite low)

Im in 2 minds whether to go and get checked or wait and see if anything else happens. Have not had a show or anything.

Also had a phone call off the School at 12.45 regarding DD Sad She was diagnosed with a chest infection and swollen throat glands yesterday but they said she'd be fine to go to school with her medication etc. I told her not to run round too much as this bring on her cough even worse. However its impossible to tell a 4 year old to not run around at playtime/lunchtime right? Evidently this resulted in her choking to the point of her being sick and they wont have her back at school til Friday, given that she doesnt spew beforehand. Sad Shes lively as you like!

We are currently in bed whilst DP who has 2 weeks holiday off work has himself some xbox time. Me playing bingo on laptop, DD playing on her leappad.

Had so much to do today too! Even woke up motivated enough to start, but the school through the spanner right in the works

Chunkychicken · 06/11/2012 14:03

Just while I catch up, your first post made me LOL Fatima Grin

Chunkychicken · 06/11/2012 14:07

My DD is asleep having an early nap, so Sex and the City 2 DVD is on and I'm settling in for a bit of r&r for the next 10mins whilst DD remains asleep at least :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/11/2012 14:17

charlee doesn't sound nice for your dd :( hope she gets better, you all sound chilled out though!

chunky jealous of you watching SATC2 I'd much rather be doing that, instead ds is watching too much cbeebies.

Just had 3 rather uncomfortable to the point of painful BHs roughly 10 mins apart.

glendathegoodwitch · 06/11/2012 14:40

chunky I sat and sobbed my way through SATC2 (3rd time I had watched it) and munched a whole packet of Jaffa cakes when I realised something wasn't quite right - cue a trip to tesco and 3 pg tests later and here I am lol!!!!

My only jobs for the day were to Hoover and mop front room and do a couple of washes, instead I've slobber on the sofa watching all manner of crap!!!

DD is at an after school club so am going to drive to school and pick her up in my jamas Shock what a slovenly hussy!!!!

TheDetective · 06/11/2012 14:40

I have no idea what is going on... And I have to go on the school run in 20 mins which means driving for up to an hour depending on traffic.

Feck. There is no pattern to this, not that I'm really timing anything. It just feels like very early days. Can sleep through it but they are definitely uncomfy.

applepieinthesky · 06/11/2012 14:48

Nobody else has popped yet? Shock i'm sure it won't be too long though, some of you have promising signs.

I'm feeling much better than yesterday. My mum dropped off her car last night so at least I can get out and about if I want to. Someone is coming tonight to look at my car so we can at least find out what exactly is wrong with it and roughly how much it will cost.

Enjoying a lazy day today watching movies and eating chocolate.

eversomuch · 06/11/2012 15:11

Hi everyone, quick post to announce the arrival of baby Spencer on Friday, 2nd November at 15:33, weighing 3540g and absolutely beautiful.

We are now home after an extended stay in hospital. S is fine but I lost nearly 2l of blood during the surgery, so received a transfusion right afterwards and then stayed through the weekend to recover. Taking it very easy right now.

Hope everyone else is doing great. Congrats to all the new arrivals I've missed over the past few days and I hope the waiting isn't driving the rest of you crazy!

kirrinIsland · 06/11/2012 15:15

Congratulations everso - what a lovely name! Hope you are feeling ok now.

Chunkychicken · 06/11/2012 15:18

I got about 45mins before DD woke up, which isn't the worst thing in the world. She's now cuddled up next to me eating her lunch with the promise of some sweets (because 2yo miss nothing do they, so her eagle eyes saw my remaining cadbury heroes) for after.

Glad things are a bit better today Apple.

Sods law detective if you stay at home, nothing will happen...

DH I had that Sat (followed by the leakage/excessive discharge) but nothing since. Hope your LO doesn't keep you on tenterhooks like my pickle seems to be doing...

Glenda I LOL at some of the SATC2 I've seen so far - perhaps a bit more upbeat than SATC1? Either way, loving the fact I can rent DVDS from my local library.£2.50 for a wk isn't too bad either imo.

Chunkychicken · 06/11/2012 15:20

Congrats Everso hope you're on the mend and your little DS is being a little angel.

FatimaLovesBread · 06/11/2012 15:26

Hope you don't mind but i've spent a few hours minutes going through previous threads and I've updated the stats list here
It now contains babies born so far and any newbies that I could spot in the last few thread. I've tried to go through posts to get names/weights etc so sorry if I've missed any or if any details are wrong.

Can you tell i've been bored Grin

ditsygem · 06/11/2012 16:03

Wow! well done fatima that is really interesting to see, although I don't like how far down the list I am in terms of due date - I feel like I am ready for him to arrive, but looking at the list its alot of ladies turns before mine to meet their little ones!

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/11/2012 16:03

chunky hmm been to the loo three times today and slight increase in discharge so poss things v v v slowly gearing up (massively wishful thinking)

Congrats everso seen pic on fb he's gorgeous!
