Pass I don't know? Baby has hiccups lol and it was just a pop and out came the fluid. Not a gush, just some fluid?! And it was pink?! I've had no coloured fluid at all in the last 9 months?!

Oh well, will just carry on I think!! Not much I can do unless theres a lot more (will check soon) or I get contractions!! Think well still cinema. Might tell dh just in case!!

WaitingForMe · 26/10/2012 19:26

I've got everything crossed for you Tits. I think you're doing brilliantly, I'd be swearing at them by now.

I just put DHs empty cup on the bump to show the boys the baby moving. They both have really cold hands and baby goes still whenever they touch the bump. The cup was bouncing around but they don't believe us that it's the baby doing it.

How exciting horsey [hgrin]

TiAAAAARGHo · 26/10/2012 19:26

I'd keep an eye on it horsey, but still go to the cinema/ otherwise ignore. I'm getting more bloody mucus plus unite intense bh this evening, so am being very hopeful.

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/10/2012 19:43

So the plan (now written in my notes) is that I will have an ultrasound in the morning and the urine sample is back from the lab the drs will review, but the midwife is saying that the consultant said to her that if its got to the point where painkillers such as Tramadol are the ONLY thing allowing any relief then they have no choice but to induce so although it may not be done tomorrow hopefully I'll at least KNOW when it will be done and it will hopefully be within a few days.

horseylady · 26/10/2012 19:46

It's not mucus. It's fluid. Mucus is thick this isn't? This is watery.

Decided to watch a film in and grab as much sleep as possible!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/10/2012 19:47

Sounds like things could be hotting up horsey Envy

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/10/2012 19:49

Sounds very much like waters horsey, the lady opposite me is leaking pinkish fluid very slowly so I'm like the expert in this now Wink

shanelle5 · 26/10/2012 19:55

Im Envy horsey So bored this evening wish things were hotting up my end! Will be checking in frequently stalking thread to keep e occupied this evening

YellowWellies · 26/10/2012 19:57

Good luck tits! Good luck blonder! Any news from VQ?

I can vouch that MM isn't a whinge - in real life she's the loveliest most upbeat lass. So stop beating yourself up hen!!! As for the vomming not sure about early labour but I vommed with every contraction (every min and a half since six hours in!) for the last eight hours. My throat is the worst bit now!

As for nursing bras - my milk has come in and my boobs are like Xmas puds - my f cup bra can't even fasten.

Top tips knickers at least two sizes too big, witch hazel for maternity pads and lavender oil to calm you.

Our wee man is still on photo treatment for jaundice but all levels going well. Luckily able to be treated on island. He's also a real sook and is learning to latch well. Am pumping 100ml a time now but he's increasingly preferring the boob. To get milk up pump with them in the room (or look at a pic) and do it 2 hourly for a six hour period - am overflowing now and back to 4 hr feeds.

Speaking of which.... Boob time!

horseylady · 26/10/2012 20:07

Tits thanks!!!

Yw lovely to hear from you!!! All those things are packed!!! Must remember to pack some clothes to go home in!!

Anyway about to watch the last Harry potter!! Not seen that yet!!

Peaky1 · 26/10/2012 20:15

Good to hear from you YW and glad feeding is starting to improve. Thanks for the tips too! Er...what form do you buy the witch hazel in? Forgive me, I've only ever used a witch stick on spots before!

Horsey it does sound like leaking fluids. I can't remember where I read it but it said that if you squeeze your pelvic floor and the leak doesn't stop then it is likely to be amniotic fluid. I am also a little [henvy].

Catbag · 26/10/2012 20:18

Ooo horsey! I had that the morning I went into labour, minus the pop. Fingers crossed that somethings going on Grin

Hope everything's gone well for vq today

horseylady · 26/10/2012 20:21

Erm if it fluids and I don't start contractions how long do I leave it before calling the hospital? 24 hours?

Catbag · 26/10/2012 20:22

Congrats YW! The posts by your husband were a joy to read. Glad little
Jonas is a milking machine x x

Passmethecrisps · 26/10/2012 20:24

I was also wondering what form the witch hazel should be in.

Hia yellow!!!' Missed you! Sounds like things are going really well. Can't wait to see pics.

horsey you sound as up to date as me with films. The film is awesome - exciting so might bring on something more. How exciting!!

Passmethecrisps · 26/10/2012 20:26

horsey I think our parenting class said we could call straight away just to let them know.

Catbag · 26/10/2012 20:27

No, not that long horsey. If it is fluids and you don't start having contractions then they will want to start induction after 24 hours, for avoiding infection I think. I'd ring maternity for advice x

Passmethecrisps · 26/10/2012 20:29

And I was wondering about the effect of pelvic floor on waters. peaky we are great minds this evening.

When I went for wees last night a few times wee just kept coming out for ages. I was sitting there for ages thinking it might be my waters. Then it would stop if I squeezed my pelvic floor really hard.

TiAAAAARGHo · 26/10/2012 20:38

I'd ring horsey to let them know.

I just called the hospital. Thy think I might actually be in labour and told me to call again when the contractions last a minute, come every 2 to 3 minutes and have done so for an hour.

Catbag · 26/10/2012 20:47

Tiaaargho Fingers crossed for you. Hope you're not too uncomfortable at the mo

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/10/2012 20:49

pass that happens all the time for me! Sometimes I move to one side and a load more comes out!

Passmethecrisps · 26/10/2012 20:51

DH I am expert now at the 2am toilet seat shuffle!

Good luck tiaa!

Peaky1 · 26/10/2012 20:58

Haha I have actually tried the toilet seat shuffle and nothing happens. Always feel a bit of a plonker trying but you really do feel there must be more in there to feel so desperate!

Passmethecrisps · 26/10/2012 21:02

Shake it to the left, shake it to the right, touch the floor . . .

Sometimes I even try lifting bump up a bit.

jenbird · 26/10/2012 21:05

Thanks for the kind words earlier. Day has calmed down thankfully.horsey That is exactly how my waters went. In the middle of a baby hiccup. You should call in as they may want to check. With my dd1 my waters went in a slow trickle and nothing happened and I ended up being induced 96hrs later! Spent 4 days walking like a leaky tap. Good luck x
