Stupid question, is projectile vomiting a sign of early labour? Been v v sick (tmi) and now having some cracking braxton hicks. Sad

Iheartpasties · 26/10/2012 06:54

yes! I have got my feet up and dd is playing with her little kitchen. yey.

Iheartpasties · 26/10/2012 06:55

mm1 not sure, sounds rough though!

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/10/2012 07:08

Headache seems to have eased a little this morning after more tramadol.
Sadly SPD pain worse than ever but they don't seem concerned with that, I fear I'll be sent home this morning as bad as when I came in. Sad
I'm sure the headache was stress induced through the pain elsewhere.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/10/2012 07:12

gt for some strange reason it is the super size fairy liquid that has got me excited this time. But yea, the fruit is great and the enormous bunches of coriander for just pennies are all fabby.

Iheartpasties · 26/10/2012 07:13

tits I'm glad your headache is easing, but surely they cannot send you home in so much pain. Have you told them you have had dark thoughts that scare you? they must be able to do something. Can you refuse to leave? I feel so bad for you.

StuntNun · 26/10/2012 07:16

Thanks for the tips GT. I'm planning on hanging on another couple if weeks if that's okay!

Hope you get sorted soon Nat. Elevated white blood cells and C-Reactive Protein mean you have inflammation somewhere in your body and are probably fighting off an infection but they are non-specific tests so not much use for diagnosis - you could have anything e.g. tonsillitis or a UTI and they would be elevated.

Shanelle I want to send more hugs to you for today. Maybe try to take one day at a time for now. My boss at work went through divorce recently and, even though things went smoothly, it was v. stressful for her and her kids. But in the end she was better off, much happier than being with someone while their relationship was breaking down, and ultimately able to organise her life to suit herself. Her ex is still in the picture, he takes the kids one day a week, but she looks back on it now as a tough experience that led to her new life. Please make sure your midwife/HV know you haven't got good support. My DS1 has special needs and we have had counselling from a social worker to be able to work through some of the issues we have had as a family, just a chance to talk through how we cope emotionally with the extra strain to provide the best environment for both kids. Toddler groups will be invaluable once baby's a bit older. And we're always here if you need a rant. We like rants Grin

mmthe thing is they an be signs of labour but just as easily could be just throwing up and Braxton Hicks. It is a pain really because in the last weeks your body does a mod job of fooling you. Try doing something and seeing if the BHs stop if they don't start timing them. That is my best way. My BHs aren't like BH any more but more like actual contractions but I find if I go for a little walk or potter round the house without realising they have disappeared.

However remember you have to keep us up to date with every detail! [hsmile]

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/10/2012 07:29

Oh look at all my typos!

All these Frimley people, when are you due pikz? Shanelle just go overdue and come to Frimely with us!!!

In for a day at home with toddler and no car today ahhhhhh. Think I will set to tidying the mess in the garden from when we moved in, hopefully that will wear DS out, along with a trip out in the pushchair, and maybe a cake in Costa.

horseylady · 26/10/2012 07:39

Mm I think anything can be a sign of labour lol!!!

I had massively painful contractions last. I was like - great if this is what labour is like I'm having lots and lots of drugs. I think one was caused by needing a wee and the other by god knows what.

My fil has eventually asked if the baby needs anything. I don't think he does? But I also want to suggest something as he's offered. I want to set up a savings account so thought it was a fairly practical thing for him to do? That or premium bonds? Will ask dh when he gets in.

Apple financially it may not be worth you going back initially, however you need to think long term and you will only pay forchild care for s couple of years. So if you want to work, work but honestly wait till you have the baby and then see how you feel etc.

I don't think anyone lives near me?! I live in the middle :(

TheDetective · 26/10/2012 07:40

I am fooking shattered Confused. I slept but had awful dreams where SIL was murdered. Cheers for that brain Hmm

Throat is killing. Got a long day ahead.... Excellent.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/10/2012 07:41

mm how are you this morning?

I had to go to the toilet about 4 times last night was really annoying, I hadn't even drunk a lot in the eve.

Ds slept til a decent hour this morning thank god so don't feel too bad. I'm seeing two different friends today, both pregnant. One of them has a toddler too so that'll be nice to have a chin wag!

TheDetective · 26/10/2012 07:42

Horsey what about something like a expensive posh high chair, or a travel cot. Something you might need when baby is 6 months+??

horseylady · 26/10/2012 07:43

Tits to add - I wondered if your headaches were a reaction to coming off tramadol or referred pain? Especially as the main cause of your pain was spinal. Do not go home until you're better!!

Lilliana · 26/10/2012 07:46

Thanks for all the advice on turning babies and the link Sophia. Will be spending my mat leave on my hands and knees!

Hoping that the nesting kicks in soon as really want to give my house a good clean but don't have the motivation to get on with it.

I too need to do some hair removing - not sure whether to shave or use cream - don't really like the cream but maybe it would be safer!?

(((((Shanelle))))) I have no other advice but thinking of you and virtual hand holding. You can and will be ok x (agree with Pass, tell your mum. You need some rl support and might be surprised by her reaction)

How are you getting on Tits? Hope you had a good night and they aare going to do something to help you.

Good luck Blonder you must be shattered. Hope you have your baby soon x

YW Lovely to hear from you and glad you are so happy x

Shelly rash sounds horrible - I'd have to have a few of the posh biscuits to take the edge of it Grin Seriously though hope you are ok, particularly re th flashy lights.

[Shock] a toothbrush?! Why why why?

I don't think many people live near me I'm in the SW.

Last day in school today and then a weeks half term before mat leave starts Grin

MissMummy1 · 26/10/2012 07:47

Still feeling awful. Had a bath and bh seemed to have stopped (or at least calmed down), so don't think it's anything serious. Keep thinking I'm going to be sick again though, blehh. DH at work although trying to arrange cover so he can be on standby from home. If the tides work in our favour he can just stick the boat in the harbour outside my house. If not my mum will come round. They're treating me like a child, although right now I don't care Sad - here's hoping it's just a 24 hour bug. I can't cope with inlaws tomorrow when I'm feeling like shit.

horseylady · 26/10/2012 07:55

Detective - yes!! Thank you!! Forgot about the highchair!!

Will suggest both of those things!!!

My current thoughts are only about labour. Then getting home. That's about all I can think about when anyone asks me any questions!! Im sure when he's here there's loads I'll need!! I just think were ok for the inital few weeks!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/10/2012 07:57

It does sound like a big :( not nice to ever get one but esp bad when pregnant, hope you feel better soon.

I've booked a bikini and eyebrow wax for next sat so baby needs to stay in til then!

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/10/2012 07:57

Bug* grr!

TheDetective · 26/10/2012 07:58

MM bloody well good, let them treat you like that. Rest day for you! X

TheDetective · 26/10/2012 08:12

I love morning arguments with DS Hmm.

I'll kill the bastard that too the razorblade to my throat overnight. Grr!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 26/10/2012 08:13

mm milk it for all you can!

detective hope you enjoy your day all flamed up, don't forget to post a pic so we can all see.

DS is quiet so I am making the most of it and sitting doing nothing.

Iheartpasties · 26/10/2012 08:25

mm1 rest up and let them look after you. dont lift a finger.

High chair is a good suggestion for a gift from FIL horsey there are some lovely ones out there - I like mine but its very hard to clean, it clips to the table though so is a great space saver. i think they all have pro's and cons!

Titsalinabumsquash · 26/10/2012 08:29

I have a consultant and the mobility team coming to see me this morning, I'm wondering if they might be of any help at all, midwife in duty seems so much nicer then yesterday's one.

pikz · 26/10/2012 09:02

sophia I'm due 19/20th. Am out in Eversley so half way from you and frimley. When you due?

I'm having upset stomach and its been going for 2 days. I have wanted to be able to go properly my whole pregnancy and now can't stop going! Random!
