Shock you're right!

I was just getting to a happy place at the thought of most likely waiting a month for baby cuddles - but will be thoroughly fecked off if you all drop off this thread like flies!

Cross your legs ladies and don't even think about touching that pineapple.
And back away from that curry!

MissMummy1 · 19/10/2012 19:08

I always have an emergency pack of percy pigs in the car! Thanks ladies for bag lists - v v helpful!! Will tackle my one tomorrow. Tried to get some travel sized toilettries in tescos but my local one doesn't stock them, grr!

ValiumQueen · 19/10/2012 19:11

MM go to pound land as they have little bottles for travel, then you could decant your regular stuff. Much cheaper.

Peaky1 · 19/10/2012 19:11

Oooh yeah! I've already assumed with Catbag but Detective has dropped off the radar today. Curiouser and curiouser!

Hmmph

I too have never heard of Percy Pigs Hmm

Peaky1 · 19/10/2012 19:13

I'm also a decanter as I have a little bottle set that I use for RAF weekends. Really good little kit to have Smile

ValiumQueen · 19/10/2012 19:14

Are Percy Pigs only available in Scotland, or is it just posh for folk as it is M&S from wence they hail, I believe.

detective did say she had a busy day planned.....

applepieinthesky · 19/10/2012 19:19

cat is definitely having newborn cuddles Envy

Peaky1 · 19/10/2012 19:22

Oh she did didn't she. This is not good for nosey folk like me.

ValiumQueen · 19/10/2012 19:28

Horrible thing in Cardiff it seems. Some Twat driving at pedestrians with a van. Unclear how many hurt, but at least 11. They have the bastard. Just after school pick up Sad

mrswee · 19/10/2012 19:29

wow! hello, I don't know how many threads I've missed but I've been moving house and had no internet!

So who has all had babies then? a list please!!?

hope everyone is well. My life is surrounding me in boxes still. nothing ready for this baby yet and another 2.5 weeks of work. I do have some hospotal bag essentials in a box somewhere! eeek

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 19:30

Percy Pigs are a nationwide phenomenon.

Nursery is finished!! Just have the rest of the house to sort out now!

ValiumQueen · 19/10/2012 19:32

Welcome back mrswee how are you?

ShellyBobbs · 19/10/2012 19:43

Congratulations Nervous and Little babies at last Grin

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 19:54

detective you are famous! You made it to the talk round up!

ValiumQueen · 19/10/2012 19:57

What is detective quoted as saying? I cannot find the round-up anywhere.

ValiumQueen · 19/10/2012 19:59

Found it! They moved it!

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 19:59

I got an email but there is a tab I think somewhere. It is a thread she started about her bath not filling enough to cover her boobs and belly.

georgee · 19/10/2012 20:08

Welcome back mrswee! How's the new house? Three weeks til our birthday!

shanelle5 · 19/10/2012 20:23

Lovely to hear of the safe arrival of 2 babies, congratulations again to nervous and little how lovely.
For those first time Mummies, I have to tell you that the smell of your new babies head is like nothing on earth. It doesnt last for long but it is THE most intoxicating scent you will ever get to breath in. (mushy/gooey smiley emotion)
They are tiny for SUCH a short time, and I always think its so weird how time changes from D-R-A-G-G-I-N-G when you are in your last 6 weeks of pregnancy and in the end bit every day feels like the equivilant of a week (especially if you go overdue) but once they arrive, the first 6 weeks fly by in a blur of tears, snot (yours and babies)milk and poop.
The same amount of days/weeks but never willl they feel so very different.
Dont let anyone tell you that you will spoil them if you dont put the baby down or are making a rod for your own back etc or pressure you into not just sitting snuggling and ENJOYING your newborn. It is a much oft said but very true statement that it goes so quickly and should be savoured and enjoyed. The housework and everything else will still be the same after that short period, your newborn will not x

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 20:31

Congratulations Lolly! And Nervous too! I need details ladies! Enjoy your babies!

Ya what! Talk round up?!

Off to investigate!

Sorry for the silence - said productive day did happen! I'd of died in shame if I'd really been sleeping the day away Grin

In other news, I have a UTI, which explains a) the fanjo pain and b) yesterdays shenanigans! I had the sample sent off last Thursday. I chased it on Tues, and yesterday. And with the midwife this morning. I ended up getting a strop on with the surgery as I wanted the results, as it was at the back of my mind that this could be the cause, and it is Friday for goodness sake! They take 2 working days to get a result! Last time I had one when I had tightenings at 23 weeks, it took 2 bloody weeks to get a result!!!! Obscene!

Anyway, its a Staphylococcus infection. I need abx. I got the call at 5.45pm, surgery shut at 6.30, and I couldn't get there in time with the traffic from where I was at the time. Not happy! Going to ring OOH GP tomorrow and demand get a prescription.

I'm also glad that it explains why I have been leaking so much horrible smelling urine since last Thursday! I do hope this bit never gets in to any round up Grin

TheDetective · 19/10/2012 20:32

Oh the shame Pass!!!! Blush

Fat cows r us!

YellowWellies · 19/10/2012 20:48

Glad to see you back Detective!

Shanelle fabulous advice that I shall try to heed. I can't wait to be able to curl up with the wee one and tickle the toes that have been booting me. Wise words lovely lady xx

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 20:49

Lol detective! It made me giggle. I also have never been able to get the bath to cover all of me. For shame!

Bought awesome cat motif plasters in Ikea yesterday but we must have left them in the shop

shanelle5 · 19/10/2012 20:50

Thanks yellow I obviously do parenting better than I do relationships Sad

Passmethecrisps · 19/10/2012 20:51

shanelle that is a lovely sentiment well worth remembering. I am going to try to enjoy every part - even this bit!

I just had a pomegranate. Yum
