I'm so fucked off.

Can't believe DP would stay up til nearly 4am, then wake me by going in kitchen/bathroom before he went to bed. He damn well knows if I get woken that is it - up for the night. If he'd gone to bed earlier, I'd probably not have woke up, or at least may of stood a better chance of getting back to sleep!!

I may have just got my own back though, as I have been crashing around the kitchen for the last 45 minutes, having made pasta and cheese, and a hot chocolate. I then went to put the hoover away that he left out, and the dog got frightened and caught her claw on the one body part of me that could really hurt - my sore toe Hmm.

Nice to see he cared enough to actually get up when I fell to the floor crying in pain. Not.

Twat. I'll bloody well keep him awake now.

Stupid hormones

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 05:50

I feel like putting a disclaimer on all my posts at the minute Warning: Fueled by pregnant hormones.

Grin
LittleLolly · 18/10/2012 06:06

Well they are every 5 mins now lasting 45 seconds ish. Getting stronger and more painful. Phoned triage who said ring back when they are every 3 mins and keep active. The midwife said she thinks I'm in early labour but this stage can take a long time with first baby.

It feels surreal and I'm not sure I'm ready!!!

wellieboots · 18/10/2012 06:23

Ooh, sounds exciting littlelolly! Take care of yourself and let us know how you're getting on

CandyPop · 18/10/2012 06:47

Good luck little ! U can do it!!

StuntNun · 18/10/2012 07:03

Another 'newbie'! Welcome back WellieBoots.

Sounds like the real thing Little. If they are reasonably regular and increasing in length then that's probably it. The first stage can take a while and the contractions can slow or even stop so get comfy with something to distract you and make sure your phone's charged so you can give us updates!

Hope you got some more sleep tits and things look a bit better this morning.

wellies welcome back.

Well, I now have a snoring DH and two snoring kids in with me. Not much room for my bump.

little good luck!

Titsalinabumsquash · 18/10/2012 07:33

No more sleep Sad

Good luck little. X

kissyfur · 18/10/2012 07:35

Good luck little and welcome to the 2 newbies Smile

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/10/2012 07:35

Ooh little v exciting! These babies are coming thick and fast now!

Actually had an ok sleep last night, up at 2 and 6 for a wee but that's quite good for me.
Going shopping just me and ds today, prob end up buying useless baby things I don't need but it's hard to resist!

horseylady · 18/10/2012 07:40

Tits hugs.

Little good luck!!

Detective - hope dp is awake now!!

Gt - sounds like it's a nightmare!! Hope you get discharged!!

Bump defo moved. I can no longer see my sticky out belly button and my toes are more visible. Dh said it had dropped loads too. Really odd??!! Why don't second babies drop (out of interest)? Everything seems to say you drop two to four weeks before labour!! Which is still 40-42 weeks!!! 38 weeks today!!

Right, horses, work, horses, buy pacapod (second hand!!)

Lilliana · 18/10/2012 07:41

Shanelle I'm so sorry to hear what you have been going through and that you didn't post here due to our reminising moment. Please offload here as much as you feel will help. I am sure that things will work out one way or another but what rubbish timing. Thanks Take care

YW your project is making me want to do something. Maybe I will have a look for something to make when I finally start mat leave.

Chunky how can they do home births and water births but not home water births Confused How stupid. If you really want the pool at home I would push for it.

Ooh, sound exciting Little good luck

Not slept well and we have LSA interviews today so have 2 extra LSAs in my room and 2 members of SLT in observing them! There is no room as there is and am also going to feel 'observed' even if they are focusing on what the LSAs are doing :( Oh well only 1 week left until mat leave.

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 08:22

Awwww poo Shock

I'm having 'uncomfy' tightenings every 7 minutes. Bump goes hard and back aches.

Crap crap crap, this wasn't part of the plan. Am hoping they go off... I wanted another week please! Am 37+5 today so will just have to wait and see.

Can talk through them but they are definitely uncomfy.

On the plus side DP is now up. Well if you count snoring next to me Hmm

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 08:28

I am not laughing, honest detective

Iheartpasties · 18/10/2012 08:31

Fatima wow having to deal with that IVF clinic charge thingy doesn?t sound like fun. I do admire the ladies who do IVF I?m sure it must be a very stressful and difficult thing to go through.

So much happened over night (for me) on this thread I will need to go back and read it all again I think!

I have just been crying because we got a letter through to say we have to stop hanging laundry outside the front door. We live in a flat in a block, and we are two flights up so for me it has been much much easier to do this than to carry laundry down and take dd down with me to hang it out/stop her from running off into the road etc etc I hate renting - you have to folow someone else's rules!! argh! Also our play group is stopping and I am very sad about it, I made some good friends there. DH kept me up most of the night snoring so I know I am just over-tired and not thinking straight. Oh and one of my best friends is moving away in the new year (sob).

I just want to have this baby now and have something 'real' to focus on, so i can stop being all inside my own stupid head.

((hugs)) to everyone who wants one, and to those who are having contractions!!

kirrinIsland · 18/10/2012 08:31

Ooh little sounds like this might be it! Maybe try and get soome rest til in gets going properly.

tits hope you manage to get some rest soon.

GT hope you get home soon. It must be doubly annoying to have to stay an extra night for that reason!

Welcome back wellies

I heard DD stirring this morning, went in to check on her and found her, still asleep, right underneath her bed! I had to haul her out by her feet. Took her in with me though so managed to keep her dozing til about 7 so not too bad. We're just watching postman pat again and then off the the supermarket - my exciting life!!

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 08:34

Baaaaaaaah

Why does nothing ever go the way I want it! Last time around I'd of killed to labour at this gestation. Grrrr!

The last one was more uncomfy. I'm hoping I just need a poo to be honest!!!

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 08:34

Sorry you did not sleep tits. What does your day hold for you? Chocolate and rest, I hope.

DH has the day off, so is taking DD1 out for a special daddy daughter day which will likely end up costing a lot. DD2 at nursery all day, so I plan to be in bed for some of it.

Iheartpasties · 18/10/2012 08:34

VQ what happened with your contractions? Do you think they were 'practice' ones?

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 08:35

Most likely a poo detective

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 08:36

She gave them to me Pasties Grin

I really am gonna kill the snoring bastard in a minute....

kirrinIsland · 18/10/2012 08:36

Cross post detective - I know you'd like some extra time, but I will happily swap places with you!

pasties one of our playgroups stopped and we just carried on meeting at the same time each week so we could stay in touch. It's actually nicer as it's a smaller group, but we do have to be inventive as to what we do to keep it interesting for the kids - often just rounds each others houses, but sometimes park or soft play. No advice on the laundry I'm afraid, unless you can put some of those ceiling wires in the bathroom or somewhere?

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 08:37

pasties I have no idea. Still happening occasionally, but nothing regular. A week today the little fella will be evicted anyway. Would prefer if it was sooner, as I am very uncomfy.

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 08:37

Yes. A poo. :) I hope!

Happy Detective!

Iheartpasties · 18/10/2012 08:38

Poo pains (snort) detective? They could be!! Little baby poo...aww... yuck, sorry Grin
