Sorry for the not very imaginative title. Noticed old thread was full and couldn't find a new one.

Full of spots here too ladies haha look like a dot to dot xx

ProcrastinatingPanda · 31/10/2012 21:08

I've spent all day looking after DS who had a sickness bug. I now have my head in the toilet - guess who caught the bug!

shelly81 · 31/10/2012 21:22

Anyone else quite itchy???? ... Mostly my legs. Scan next wed too excited but absolutely crapping myself xx

LittlePickleHead · 31/10/2012 23:28

Yes jm really itchy on my legs too. I remember it from last time as well, I would literally scratch myself raw. There is a reason for it - that I've obviously completely forgotten now Blush

Picklep · 01/11/2012 08:16

Wirrawoo · 01/11/2012 10:25

Hi! Just found this thread yesterday and thought since I'm due on May 12th I'd come join you all :) it's so comforting to read about other people having the same symptoms etc. This is our first baby and we are both over the moon (although a bit nervous till we get through the scan on Saturday). I think I'm 12+5 at the mo. not feeling quite so queasy 24/7 but still mega tired. I had Stage IV endometriosis operated on at Xmas and went on a mission to get healthy enough to get pregnant and hey presto it seems it has worked! We had an 8 week scan and all looked good. It was grooving away in there :) Getting really excited but trying (and failing) not to get too excited until 2nd trimester... Lovely to meet you all xx

beaver33 · 01/11/2012 11:26

Hi wirrawoo and congrats. There's a separate stats thread on the antenatal boards if you want to add yourself to our (now humungous) list....

Ooooh pelvic floor. I'm paranoid about this. Been trying to clench etc but not sure I'm doing it right. How do you know??

Last night DH bought loads of treats for the guisers and we had none! So ended up being me, a tin of Clubs, Penguins and choc eclairs on the sofa Blush.

I do believe my burgeoning bump has nothing to do with pregnancy....

weeblueberry · 01/11/2012 11:27

That's rough flaming Sad. People will always come out with crapola like that. No matter what you say they'll always have a comeback. My favourite this time has been 'so when are you getting married??' as DP and I are living in sin. [hwink] Some people have even said it before congratulations!

Its interesting hearing you guys talk about SPD though. My pelvis and knees are absolutely KILLING me these last couple of days. So much so that I'm struggling to sit down for any length of time. I'm up and down like a damned jack in the box and my boss (who knows luckily) just keeps peering over to make sure I'm okay. The morning sickness seems to be shifting though for which I'm ETERNALLY grateful!!

I've got my 12 weeks scan on Monday. Will actually be 13 and a half at that stage though. It will actually be my third scan in total as we had one at 9 weeks (private) then had to have one the weekend before last as I started bleeding. All was well though so I'm hoping the chances of anything happening between 11 and a half weeks and 13 and a half weeks is fairly minimal. Been a strong heartbeat at each but we're still struggling to find the heartbeat with the Doppler. I think BF isn't shoving it into the right spot but he claims he's an expert. Wink

Stiffybyng · 01/11/2012 11:39

Argh, every time I try to post on here, the site collapses. My megapost gets smaller with every re-typing.

First, hello again, sorry to be away so long, see first sentence for explanation.

We were discussing breastfeeding way back. DD is now 18 months so our BFing is recreational. My breast condition means no changes in pregnancy so thankfully it's not been sore. For those of you worrying about supply, I don't know if this link has already been posted but the site is utterly brilliant and reassuring on all aspects of breastfeeding so worth a shot in the first instance:

www.kellymom.com

I'm another PGP sufferer/dreader. I was the full crutches/codeine last time and virtually housebound. Not sure at all how that will work with a toddler. Hmm I had lingering hip problems after my first pregnancy and next week am getting a shot of fluid and local anaesthetic which might help alleviate things a bit. Fingers crossed.

I am 12+6 and still bloody nauseous. Me other half does all the cooking and loves to make complicated, interesting food, which is delicious. Unfortunately over the past weeks I've really been struggling to eat it, but didn't want to say anything. Last night it came to a head when he presented me with a whole sea bream on the bone, and I burst into tears. So now he's hurt and I feel guilty.

Nora, ignore those silly judgey judgers. They sound deeply insensitive. We are THRILLED that you're pregnant and you're going to have a blast.

BeauticianNotMagician · 01/11/2012 13:34

Beaver I can sympathise with spots none on my face so far like with the ds's but got lots of hard lumps on my chest which i can't even squeeze Angry

Flaming I would completely ignore people. No matter what people always think they can comment when you are pregnant. When i had DS1 and 2 at aged 23 and 25 everyone made comments about me being too young. This time i apparently only got pregnant as i wanted a girl grrrr its driving me insane. So far my response through gritted teeth has been no funnily enough its because we wanted a BABY.

Waves at Pickle Yes had my scan this morning. It was so much clearer and can't believe how much had grown in a week.Baby still lazy and didn't move again so sonographer pressed quite hard and gave baby a wiggle which woke it up and it was wriggling away.Blood Test was fine and i absolutely hate them and usually pass out.I find at the hospital as they are so used to doing them they are a lot better at it.

Next scan 28th December.

MooLL · 01/11/2012 14:19

Yahooo just used the contemplation room at work for the first time today .. feeling liberated now Ive told one of the partners here ... was great ... was in my usual post lunch yawn-a-thon so snuck in ... it was empty and dark with big squashy chairs - ended up falling asleep for about 30 mins and now feel totally re-energised! hurrah - think I will be a frequent visitor!! (never used it for DC1 but decided this time around I am not going to be the martyr I was the first time

Stiffybyng · 01/11/2012 14:28

Oh MooLL, I am dead jellus. I'm sitting at my desk trying not to fall asleep. I do have my own office and am tempted to shut the door and just lie on the floor.

MooLL · 01/11/2012 15:12

oh Stiffyb do it, do it, do it!!!

milkandribena · 01/11/2012 15:39

Hello
It has been so hectic here. It must have been about 2 weeks now. I'm 13+2 today.
Lets see:
Met non-mans brother - he was lovely bless
Have had first scan. so odd but amazing. and um me and non-man may have had a sneaky kiss after Blush
We have now told our families - apart from being shocked and some long conversations. I think they are alright about it. After all they are getting a grandchild out of it. But both sets did say that they must now meet the other one. My parents esp are worried - but guess that is what they do - I'm the one pregnant, and with me and non-man not 'together' or even in same city. Worried that I'll be left holding the baby.
We haven't told friends and stuff. Apart from my best-mate because she wants me to be a bridesmaid at her wedding and I'll be heavily pregnant and I needed to tell her.

Got to go - I shall be back later though. Need to get to get up to speed with all you lot.

Rhienne · 01/11/2012 21:02

Hi everyone. Great to hear all your news, but goodness it's hard to keep up!

All the food talk is making me rather Envy (envious, not nauseous, this time). I wonder if the "English Shop" here sells mini cheddars or Ribena.

I love hearing which apps people have and like. Have noted a couple to download and try. Also loving the confirmation that pregnant women are allowed hairy legs! :D

I've had my 12 weeks scan and got (reasonably) reasuring numbers on the risk factor for downs. LO was doing somersaults away from the scan technicians bumping. Really didn't want to stay the right way round for them to measure the neck. :)

I was going to say that ms has been easing up here, and I've had a bit more energy lately. But the last few days I seem to have relapsed and today has been awful! :( Where's the [feeling dreadfully sorry for myself] icon?

I know I'm commenting on something from ages ago, but I got to wondering for Seasalt if there was anything in Singapore like we have here. I found this: The Expat Foodhall in Singapore. Maybe they have some of the stuff you're craving?

I'm off to update our stats thread with my new EDD.

Picklep · 01/11/2012 21:29

had the scan and all well - so relieved and so happy! wanted this for so long and was worried it was all in my head, but there baby was. Very lively baby at beginning of scan and then it tired itself out and literally turned it's back on us on the scan, with its little ankles crossed under its bum. The bloods went OK too, for the first time ever I didn't faint - think because I was on such a high after scan. I wanted to stop everyone and show them my scan picture. We've told all the family now who are all so thrilled! Really happy day.

Beautician so glad yours went well too and you didn't faint either! Think you're right about it being done in the hospital, those people are like machines, it was so quick. My worst fear is the fiddling at the beginning, that's normally when I faint!

milkandribena love that you two had a sneaky kiss - and pleased the family are all getting on board! Keep us updated on non-man developments.

Bunnychan · 02/11/2012 07:19

Morning ladies, I'm 11 weeks today :-) but I swear my belly has shrunk and I can do my jeans up again! I have been horribly bloated- does this mean it is going? Has anyone else shrunk? X

peardrop2 · 02/11/2012 09:18

Bunny I know how you feel!! I'm 11+3 and I woke up feeling exactly the same!! How weird!

MooLL · 02/11/2012 10:19

Hi all - just got back from my dr appointment - she as just shaved 1 1/2 weeks off of my pregnancy and has put me at 13+2 with an Edd of 12th may ... Still think she is wrong but hey ho! Typical London chech in lasted 5 mins ... Told her I wanted Kingston, got told i would be consultant led and checked my bp which as always was through the roof but thankfully I'd checked it at home last night and it was normal so she didn't make a fuss ( have dreadful White coat syndrome) ...any way the sky is blue te sun is shining and I haven't been sick this morning - so all is good with the world! Hope you all enjoy your day x

MooLL · 02/11/2012 10:20

Apologies for the typos - forgot to check it!

seven77 · 02/11/2012 11:04

Hi all. I've finally got a date for my scan, 15th November, I'll be 12+3. I phoned the hospital in the end as I hadn't received the appointment, good job I did, the referral had obviously been made as the woman I spoke to knew I was 10 weeks, but no scan had been booked. Does anyone else still have a couple of weeks to wait until theirs?

Missed too much to catch up on, but hi to all newbies, I hope the scans have all been going well and hope the sickness and tiredness is starting to ease for most of you. I'm exhausted, but know it will only last around another 3 weeks now anyway.

10+4

SeaSalt1 · 02/11/2012 11:25

Hello everyone, so lovely to hear all the scan news, it's really encouraging to know that people have got through clear! (I'm particularly paranoid about the 12 week one, as my two closest friends got bad news at theirs earlier in the year...).

Rhienne - Thank you so much for the link! I hadn't discovered that at all, I really appreciate you looking for me, so thoughtful of you. I haven't had too close a look at the website as the thought of any food at all makes me want to be sick (I have lost 6lb so far - really hoping I see the end of this nausea soon) but I will pass the link on to DH (who is in charge of all things food) for him to investigate.

In other news, I have developed a sciatic-like pain in my lower back, shooting through my left leg - anyone else? I went to the doctor's today (they were very good, I had no idea what to expect in Singapore) and am just hoping that physio sorts it out (am also praying it isn't the first signs of SPD)...

Seven, my EDD is 28 May (making me 10+3 today) and my scan isn't until 19 November (at 12+6), so I can be your waiting buddy. I think we might be the last two on the thread to have a 12 week scan(?), perhaps I'm wrong though. I was lucky to have an 8 week one (as that's what they seem to do out here) so really hoping all still ok.

Hope you're all well anyway, and that you're having a lovely Friday (it's already 7.30pm here...)
