Is it just dry skin threefor? Keep an eye on it and if it gets really bad I'd contact your mw just to be on safe side.

OoooOoooOoood · 27/10/2012 21:00

three only a little horrible histories display, think it might still be made in London. Re itching it depends if there is a rash as it can indicate a liver problem.

Park sounds fun, myjob!

Ethel great kitchen cabinet advice!

11 days, Lanny - not fun! But fantastic about that 3-hr nap. Sounds like you really needed it! Hope you sleep better tonight.

Three great the hospital appt went well and they are paying good attention to your needs and wants. (Ah got all excited for a minute: thought 2nd cervix scan and high risk clinic was this week coming ? no - week after, dammit! When I'll be 23 weeks - crikey!!!)

Gummi ooh dual system - interesting. We are going to get a new boiler to replace our massive, noisy, cranky one as soon as DH's inheritance from his DF comes through. This is for the cupboard where the tumble is also (hopefully) going to go. But, complicatedly, out of respect for DH's DF - who desperately wanted to buy us a gas fire when we moved in but thought wood burning stoves were the work of the devil - we won't use any of that money on a stove, just a boiler and new double glazing (wind whistles through the old metal framed stuff installed in half the house!) and a small chunk towards the mortgage.

I've been in and out of bed since I wrote earlier. Just giving in to this damn cold and tiredness. Really, really want to feel better tomorrow! Thanks for all your kind thoughts.

Uh-oh, though, really don't recommend watching One Born with bump pains. However, DH had to laugh when after one particularly painful and elongated spasm of pain ? I did a big fart (I know, how ladylike!) thus adding to the theory that this is bowel-related. Hmm?.

Right, time for another nap.

JoJoBella84 · 28/10/2012 00:55

12.45 am which means I've been 24 weeks pregnant for 45 mins!! I'm officially viable. I'm stopping aiming for milestones now, have a MW appt in a week and consultant in 3 weeks.
I've got such a busy week coming up with trips to Sheffield, dissertation proposal due in (oddly has to be 2500 words) two presentations to start and not enough hours in the day!!!
Sorry I've not been able to name check or even keep up with the general conversation, I've been exhausted trying to catch up on all of my work and stay on top of the new stuff. As well as trying to catch up with old friends and generally relax!!

mandasand · 28/10/2012 01:54

JoJo congratulations!!! Yes, relax (as much as you can) and focus on getting your stuff done. Hope proposal writing goes well. You feeling better now? Sizing of dress - will check tomorrow! (And remind me if I forget!) xx

OoooOoooOoood · 28/10/2012 06:27

manda trapped wind is v painful. Also very common in pregnancy due to the full body!

pinkpeony4 · 28/10/2012 07:21

Place marking, will catch up later. Grrrrr to the clocks changing, my morning started very early this morning!!

eigmum · 28/10/2012 08:13

Skyfall was totally brilliant! Several others thought so too as I wouldn't take my word for it given I love everything at the minute as so relieved not to be sick anymore!! Thanks for all the birthday messages I had a fab day and evening!

Em2010 · 28/10/2012 08:36

Glad to hear skyfall was good eig, dh are going to have a date might to see it soon, can't wait!

jojo yay for being 24 weeks!!

manda hope pains are feeling better today. three sorry to hear about nasty itchiness.

Been up half the night here as toothache is back and I'm in agony!!! Am going to have to call the dentist tomorrow morning as I can't take it!!!!

ThreeForTea · 28/10/2012 09:14

Wow, yay for 24 weeks jojo!

So the itchiness has been mostly legs and feet and mainly at night, but sometimes upper body and arms as well. No rash really apart from a couple of places I'd scratched too hard Blush I forgot about skin changes so ill try using e45 cream maybe and give mw a call this week.

Sorry to hear about tooth em hope you can get it sorted soon as, ouch!

theTramp · 28/10/2012 10:19

Three - try a bath with some bio oil in it. And yes ask midwife. How weird.

Eig- hello! Jaeger Coat was bought last year as a new coat cause old one dies and at mo it's fitting well. I can't see bump increasing as a fit issue either, though I did have to get button slightly repositioned due to boob size increase.

Sorry to hear about colds Manda and Hermione. Sounds really rotten.

I've woken up with a cracking headache (unfair really as I'm not drinking booze) but have just twigged (such a dunce) that it's 11.20 and not 10.20 as I though - although of course it is but with clock going back.. Oh you all know what I mean! - so think I'm just super dehydrated.

Party was good. Everyone left early though, so we were in bed by 2am. I was expecting more die Garda but actually only 4 people ended up being persuaded to come upstairs at end so I could put my feet up :)

M

theTramp · 28/10/2012 10:25

Argh, didn't mean to post then. Anyway; most disorganised I've ever been with a party. At 4pm first guests arrived & I hadnt even made my costume let alone finished decorating the gallery. Anyway it all came together. Was on my feet for hours mind and legs quite cranky today as was wearing heels. I had wee (eek!) moment last night where I suddenly panicked that I should be feeling more grumbles form Socs and worried that bump was actually containing an inactive Socs. Then I had a hot choc and put my feet up and off went the Socs based stomach tumbling routine.

Today is the clean up. Oh the joy. Although I may play exhausted pregnant lady card and just provide teas & coffees and make cake for everyone.

Hope you're all a ok this morning.

Oh yes - manda that sounds an awful lot like trapped wind and it's horribly painful. And for those with sore throats tyrozeta are great - behind counter at Boots. It's an antiseptic lozenge.

I'll post some pics on FB later

Morning all

Three how's the itching

Manda we are hoping the wood burner will heat the whole house and then switch to oil for days when not in for very long or for chillier summer days. Dh says its not too big a job, I just nod and agree

Em nothing worse than a toothache

Right need to get into attic before dd2 bursts, "we're running out of time Halloween week is tomorrow"

mandasand · 28/10/2012 10:57

Agh, toothache is the worst, Em. Feel so sorry for you...

Eig glad you had a fab birthday and that party was good Tramp! Aw, hot choc is my failsafe remedy to the 'why aren't they moving' panic, too!

OoooOoooOoood (like the name change!) yes, I think it might have been / might be trapped wind. Grr babies! I have just 'been' (as my old Nanna would say) and I do feel a whole lot better, it has to be said (sorry, TMI as usual!)

JoJo I'm usually a 12 (bottom) / 14 (top) so I got the dress in a 14 to be sure. There is plenty of room. One of the things I'm sure to be wearing right to the end. And the fabric is a little stretchy so you'll be fine getting normal size methinks.

Ooooh, exciting news! Colleague-friend had her baby and sent through a pic overnight and she is absolutely delightful! An eight-pounder, too! Looks like a proper full-on baby rather than a newborn. And so utterly gorgeous!

Cold is still very much here but apart from a 3am get up for food (ravenous!) I slept though till 9am so I must be getting a bit better (despite the trail of tissues I'm leaving behind me in every room!)

So, hurray for the extra hour. DH felt like he got a bit of a lie-in before I started gently talking about painting the living room under the duvet, hehe! I made him brek, helped move some stuff out of the room, am now ostensibly marking my OU papers (tho clearly MNing first!) whilst he sands and paints. VERY productive household! Like it Smile

We've got a tight timeline on this room as his mum is defo coming down to stay at the weekend and I knew my mum would get jealous as she likes coming down in half-term so I've invited my parents down Thu-Fri (if, that is, they can get rid of their colds by then as I'm not going through another one of these mega-ones again!!) Since the dining room is full of baby stuff, still, there is actually nowhere for people to sit so we have to finish within days!

I can't believe no-one's posted for six hours ... can it be true or is my internet wonky?! Hope everyone's been busy having fab days.

I've mainly been coughing and blowing my nose and fretting that babies aren't moving much today. Got 6/17 assignments marked and DH made a good dent on the living room, sanding and painting, and he is now cooking dinner (he is amazing!)

FloweryBoots · 28/10/2012 18:28

Evenign all. PIL have been here since Thursday night so not had time to MN! Have glanced though to catch up a bit but can't remember everything. Just trying to pursuade DH he should do bath time with DS since I'm shattered. Think I'm taking the clock change worse than DS!

We had a very rare afternoon and evening out without DS whilst PIL were here which was lovely. Pottered round York (had never been before) and then an erly diner in strada before trundling home on Sat. PIL took DS to Eurika so they all had fun.

Far calmer about size issues now, and thanks for all the kind words. Think I was just exhausted by Friday as much as anything else. Stealth, my baby is measuring small too - just (and only just) above 3rd centile line. I have to go for another scan but they couldn't get hold of anyone to say just when so since I had a consultant appointment on monday any way they said to get the consultant to decide and book then. Are you having another scan on Monday or jsut seeing consultant? I was told it wasn't anything of significant worry as measurements were broadly in line with each other although at lower end of expected. But you scan sounds just like mine - baby in very awkward position and scan took over an hour!

Right better go and get this bath done. Sorry not to respond to others better! Sleep well ladies.

Em2010 · 28/10/2012 19:05

Hey ho All,

I've been very bored today! Miserable weather and dh has been out all day so ds and I stuck in the house on a (self-imposed) cbeebies ban. Going a little stir-crazy to be honest and really can't face the thought of work tomorrow.

manda sorry to hear your cold is ongoing, however, very impressed with your dh!! I've also been fretting about baby movements but the wriggles I have felt have been very deep and low so I think she has just turned around and wedged herself somewhere I can't feel movement properly.

flowery sounds like a nice weekend with PIL. Glad to hear you are feeling calmer re size issues, hope the consultant is reassuring tomorrow. Ds has spent much of his life between the 5th and 9th centile....

What's everyone else been up to?

Vivee74 · 28/10/2012 19:12

Em, hope your toothache is better soon. I had one last weekend and ended up ringing nhs direct. Paracetamol was the only suggestion but was back at dentist during week.

Hope those with colds improve soon.

Busy weekend here, worked all weekend and still going. Went for lunch with friends with beautiful 11 month old who laughed the whole time. Then went to baby show. Didn't have time to see it all but bought a pram. Orbit G2 with pram, bassinet, rocker and car seat. So that's our biggest purchase done. Yeah.... Won't pick it up until after Christmas.

Scan on Wednesday. Getting excited and nervous now.

OoooOoooOoood · 28/10/2012 19:15

Well done on the productive day manda and well done on the pram vivee

HermioneBoo · 28/10/2012 21:04

Had first trick or treaters of the year tonight, cheeky fekkers took almost everything I'd bought for the whole week and asked for more! I'm not leaving DH to give out the sweets again, tbh I never usually answer the door after 7pm as its the older kids after that time. I love it when the really little ones come round and their mum/dad tries to hide! We had one girl last year who couldn't have been more than 8 and yet she was dressed in a moulin rouge outfit - must have been frozen!
We bought the paint colour and carpet for babyboo's room today, her room is big but only has one small window off to one side so we've bought light reflecting paint and beige patterned carpet. I wanted a darker carpet that would hide the stains a bit but DH really wanted the paler one. I had to give way as the light reflecting paint was £5 more expensive per tub - eeeep!
Cold seems to be getting a bit better, not sure whether to bother with doctors now but will see how I feel in the morning. It's amazing how ill I can feel on a workday! [hwink] hope everyone's colds get better soon, and toothache, and plenty of wriggles!

StealthToddler · 28/10/2012 21:27

Thanks flowery we do sound similar. Am seeing a consultant tomorrow and the sonographer said the consultant would do a more detailed scan, or at least I think that's what she said - I think I went a bit stupid when she told me there might be a problem. It's the femur length that is so much shorter that I think worried her most.
Will update tomorrow. Good luck with your consultant appt tomorrow too. Am feeling anxious which I guess doesn't help!

backwardpossom · 28/10/2012 21:48

Have had a hectic Sunday. I invited the parentals around for dinner today, so spent the weekend tidying and cleaning. Luckily DH took over the cooking (and what a bloody good job he did of it too!) so we had a lovely relaxed meal.

I was just thinking, 21 weeks is MatB1 form time isn't it? I'm 21+3 today... must phone midwife!

Hope those of you with colds feel better soon. I can feel my chest a bit tight today, so wonder if I'm coming down with something. Hope not.

Em I hope the toothache is better soon!

Vivee we're scan date buddies! I can't wait to see bubs again, he/she keeps kicking me, proper big kicks now instead of the wee flutters.

Hermione that's a bit cheeky!! Hallowe'en is on Wed! [hwink]

We're going to see Skyfall next week, can't wait!
