Congrats fluff :)

Ive just eaten a second tea tonight. Ooops my weight gain has been minimal so far but im guessing it wont stay that way if i continue like this :)

WeeJo08 · 16/10/2012 22:13

Mummycox I didn't know that! What a good idea!

WerewolvesDoTheFandango · 16/10/2012 22:39

Congrats fluff!

I am deeply uncomfortable tonight, bambino f is trying to burrow his way out through my left side! I keep leaping up yelping while DP looks at me like Hmm. He's been raving it up pretty much non-stop for the last 4 hours!

Congratulations fluff!

Damn, the child's wardrobe I wanted on eBay is no longer available. Back to looking again... At this rate we'll have nowhere to put the baby's stuff when he arrives.

FriendofDorothy · 17/10/2012 01:00

I am wide awake. This is bad. Wednesday is busy!

monsterchild · 17/10/2012 01:03

Werewolves I must have your twin child. He is trying to kick his way out through my left ribs, I think. I keep being awakened by him doing jumping jacks or something! It's pretty annoying.

I'm awake, FriendofDorothy, as it's only just 6 pm here.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 17/10/2012 02:10

Urgh awake again. Tomo is busy really need to get my act together and sleep!!!!

HoneyMum21 · 17/10/2012 04:50

Wide awake worrying about bump as I don't think I've felt much movement the past couple of days Confused and don't know what to do. DH thinks I'm being paranoid - which I prob am.

Walnut8 · 17/10/2012 05:22

Gosh terrible couple of days - DH and DD both sick. Luckily I seem to have avoided it, but have had next to no sleep and am very close to losing it. Seconds (I think it was you), I also get very down from time to time during preg. A bit of a moody mess actually, up and then down, esp without sleep. You seem to have a lot going on too and a lot to deal with with this pregnancy, so take it easy on yourself.
I feel for those on low carb or GD diets as I think without the carb hits I would often be pretty bummed!

Definitely disposables for this girl. Especially as DD is still in nappies most of the time (trying to potty train, but DD isnt at all interested, urgh).

Had an ultrasound this morning and estimated weight at 40 weeks is 8'3 pounds or 3.8 kilos which is a pound bigger than DD but still manageable - not the 10 lb baby I was expecting given my bump size!!! So big sigh of relief.

Congrats Fluff!!

Walnut8 · 17/10/2012 05:29

Honeymum, if you are worried, definitely ring your midwife or consultant or the labour ward at the hospital you are booked in at. In my experience they are more than happy to do a quick scan. It's probably nothing, but better to get it checked out. I take it that you've tried drinking a cold drink or some OJ?

SpottyTeacakes · 17/10/2012 06:59

Walnut sorry for the illnesses! Dd is nowhere near ready for potty training, which is a shame but I'm just going to wait until she refuses to wear a nappy Grin she rarely tells me when she's done a poo!

honey I agree do the whole cold drink thing etc and if still worried get checked out.

I've got to go to the hospital today to see diabetes nurse and specialist mw. Mw didn't want me going more than two weeks without seeing anyone Confused so will get to hear the heartbeat

Barbeasty · 17/10/2012 07:59

Weejo and delivery to Waitrose is free, however much/ little you order. A great standby if you realise you need the odd thing.

I'm really tired after DD woke at 2 with a bad dream. Took me ages to get back off. And a boring training course today, which I'll probably be late for as I'm on the train. (actually I know I'll be a few minutes late if the train is on time...) But then off to collect my new car this afternoon. Poor DH doesn't understand why I'm not as excited as him. I just want a quicker journey home!

Mamapo- have a look through the NICE documents. There's loads of stuff in there about statistical differences in types of birth. I know there was lots in the c section guidance, but can't remember if it covered water.

Our local consultant unit is looking and putting a pool in one delivery room, in addition to the 2 in the attached mlu, and 2 other mlus in the county each have 2 pools.

I feel sick Sad

The gas people wrote to me a couple of months ago saying the pipes need replacing. Fair enough. Last Wednesday from 8am there were 2 men in hi vis jackets prowling around. Eventually arrived at my door (open to allow carpet fitters access, they originally tried to just walk in but nice carpet man stopped him) mid morning, and high-handedly informed me they would be coming to replace my meter and they needed to look around - said as he walked towards me so i was forced to back off. Discovered that planned place doesn't work for my property. I said i would consider giving permission provided i was informed officially in writing.

Thursday they knocked at 8.30 am (having been prowling around since 8 again) to say they wouldn't be doing as much.

Monday they came back, trailed a nice trippy wire across the terrace and cranked up the generator. At 8am. They started drilling in the walls.
Continued yesterday, they are fitting a new gas pipe externally - it goes across each flat above the front door. It's hideous.

At no point have i (owner) or my mum (joint owner) been informed or consulted. I've seen no ID, nor ny plans, nor been notified of work. Just a slightly intimidating pair peering through my front window from early morning.

Confrontation ahoy, they're not here yet...

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 17/10/2012 08:26

pidj that sounds awful! I feel for you, not needed now!

Well didn't get much sleep last night, had to get up early to take DH to work, school run in a minute, then off to dentist, then gotta pick DH up after a docs appointment, then school run (x 2 because of after school club). I just want to sleep!!! Lol

PurplePidjin · 17/10/2012 08:29

Still not here Hmm

It wasn't till i spilled all to dp and my mum last night that i realised I'm not being pg and hormonal! Should have put my foot down earlier Angry

Secondsop · 17/10/2012 08:32

Oh pidj the gaspipe business sounds awful. I hope it works out ok. The last thing you need at present.

PurplePidjin · 17/10/2012 08:35

I just want them to get here now so i can tell them to fuck off (minus the swearing, obviously)

I really thought it was me being hormonal, not them being cunts unreasonable!

EggsMichelle · 17/10/2012 08:38

pidj I suggest you arm yourself with an umbrella and refuse to let them past without their ID, then contact the gas board with their name and report them for not having their ID on display.

Got the cot arriving today, and picking up the car seat base this evening, think that's everything bought, iv never been so organised!

DH and DF are sick with a virus, so iv retreated back home to avoid their sickness, they can be ill together.

Post man has just delivered my Tori Amos album, so excited to play Shrimpy magical piano!

FriendofDorothy · 17/10/2012 08:52

I have had the most horrendous night's sleep. I had just dropped off when The Mister came to bed and woke me up, then I couldn't go back to sleep. Then my cousin who lives with us scalded her foot at about 1.30am. Poor thing, it must have been really painful but she managed to wake the entire house. Of course it's alright for her - she works part time and can stay in bed. I have a nightmare day to be tired today as I have to see a potentially difficult and violent client for assessment. Bugger, bugger, bugger.

Oh, and I have been sitting here panicking that I can't feel much movement. Winston is probably jusy asleep!

WeeJo08 · 17/10/2012 08:57

DH & I are throwing a sickie today [shocked] Both quite rundown & snotty so a rest day is very much appreciated but it still feels very very naughty. Haven't had any sick days before.

Secondsop · 17/10/2012 09:02

I'm coming down with something too - it's clearly the season for it! Really don't want to miss any more days of work though because I've missed loads already during the pregnancy.

HoneyMum21 · 17/10/2012 09:19

friend I'm in the panicky mode as baby is being quiet too but, as DH keeps reminding me, the more we get stresse out about it, the less likely we are to feel movement (something about tensing muscles). I'm at work at the min but gonna lie down and drink some more orange juice when I get home. If that doesn't work I'll be naughty, bring out the big guns amid try some cold diet coke. If that doesn't work I'll be calling the maternity unit ad panicking at them!

Sorry for all of those feeling ill and sicky today. My chest seems to be getting bad again but nowhere near as bad as it was so as log as I don't cough hard enough to crack another rib I'll be happy!

FriendofDorothy · 17/10/2012 09:26

I have to admit that I have been bad and had a diet coke most days for the last week. I am massively craving it. The baby goes nuts for the sugar and the cold

2blessed · 17/10/2012 09:27

Weejo I've ordered the mothercare and JL bundlers too, I think they're a fab idea.
Hope everyone starts to feel better soon and sorry to hear about the gaspipe business pidj.
I'm just plodding along really, marking the days until I go off on maternity leave. Not much sleep as usual but I think I'm getting used to it. Have negotiated working from home 2 days a week which is great. Just had porridge with hot buttered white toast and smeared the porridge onto the toast. Tasted sooo good. And that's about it for me... Have a good one everyone

ellliebelle · 17/10/2012 09:30
