Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2012 04:39

Oh I'm with you all on the feeling out if breath and everything taking so much effort. I changed the bed sheets yesterday and today I gave to Hoover upstairs which is an effort because of all dp's sock fluff Hmm

Dd woke because of he cough but has gone back to sleep. I can't get back to sleep though because all I can think about is chocolate fudge cake mmmmm

utopian99 · 23/10/2012 04:40

I'm here with you. Have been fine until recently and thought maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones, but been waking up on and off since 3 with what i suspect is hb and now feel horrendously sick to add to it..

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2012 05:01

Oh utopian is there anything you can take? I'm quite lucky with sleep at the moment it's just if I have to get out of bed I can't get back to sleep. I haven't even had a wee since 9 last night!

Really want a sausage sandwich.....might have one for breakfast!

EggsMichelle · 23/10/2012 05:44

DH came to bed at about 4am, and I have been awake since. Having my breakfast now to pass some time.

2 days left of work, whoopi!

Walnut8 · 23/10/2012 06:09

Another one here with return of morning sickness. Was worried for a while that I'd picked up DH's gastro, but this is more just low level nausea/giddiness. 33 weeks yesterday and baby still seems to be moving a lot.

Hips are also really playing up and keeping me up at night. Poor DH says he gets woken every time I roll over, but I have to constantly change sides otherwise it gets unbearable.

I remember hoping last time at this stage that it might all be over soon especially if I went at 37 weeks ... only to be induced at 42 weeks. Argh.

DH going to bucks this weekend. I've asked him not to drink too much but we'll see .... to be honest, I don't think I'll go into labour, but I don't want to deal with a hungover husband on sunday, I really need as much help as I can with DD on the weekend and he is going to be out all day and night Saturday, so I only think it's fair to ask that he not be a write-off sunday. What do you think?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2012 06:21

Walnut I agree. I would say to him he can have a lay in until ten or eleven and you'll make him a yummy breakfast when he gets up if you can have the rest of the day to put your feet up whilst he entertains dd Smile

Just about to make sausage sandwiches mmmmm

EggsMichelle · 23/10/2012 06:26

I would go for that deal, who wants to make me a sausage sandwich and let me have a lay in?

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 23/10/2012 06:36

spotty I will swap some fudge cake for a sausage sandwich. I'm starving this morning!

I've got parents eve this eve and my XH is insudtant on coming with me, hints that I don't want to be in the same room as him have fallen on deaf ears. So now I've got to try and not kill him again! Restraint is not something I have in abundance at 32 weeks tbh.

Oh I wish I didn't wake up 5+ times a night!

Walnut8 · 23/10/2012 06:42

Yeah, I wish I could go out all day Saturday and then have a lie-in (and sausage sandwich!) on sunday. I am actually hoping he won't be out all night and might even get up with DD sunday morning ... he did suggest at one stage coming home after dinner (they are out playing cricket or something from 9am and then finishing with dinner and drinks etc out afterwards), getting my hopes up. I really need one morning to lie-in per week at this stage!

hope it goes well stacey! I don't have much patience either atm.

Bellaboo123 · 23/10/2012 06:57

Didn't get back to sleep until 430 now getting up for work - zombie is the best way to describe me. DP has a big exam today so fingers crossed for that but feel guilty asking him to walk the dogs first - another thing on my list.

Mmmm sausage sandwich...and chocolate fudge cake mmmmmm then a nap....a girl can dream zzzzzzzzzzzz

Clarella · 23/10/2012 07:29

I have no idea if how my body is working is 'normal' as my thyroid levels have finally changed significantly in the last 2 weeks but I appear to now be sleeping through for a good 6 hours again after quite a,long time of the 3 am club if that helps any of you insomniacs - being a little further along it might go same way for you guys soon....??

The weight of bump has suddenly hit though, all those things they say eg lifting stuff etc starting to play havoc on back but now even only when picking up a button!

AlisonDB · 23/10/2012 07:57

Sorry for those who had a rubbish sleep last night,
(Being smug) Horlicks is my new best friend!!!! Thank you for suggesting it!!!
I had probably the best nights sleep in 2 wks, woke x2 to go to the loo but was able to get straight back asleep as I had NO HB all night!
Today I feel like a rather fat and wobbly but NORMAL person!
I'm going to the English Shop today to stock up!!

Stag party's in Amsterdam are never calm, no matter how good the intentions start off! Good on your hubby to cancel :-)
My DH had a night out there planned on Saturday night but cancelled as he knew I wouldn't be too impressed with him rolling in at 7.00 then sleeping till 15.00 waking up and spending the rest of the day whining about his hangover/tiredness!
I dont mind DH having a couple of drinks now and then up till probably wk 39.
So long as he is sober enough to makes the phone calls and talk to the midwives etc.. As we will get a taxi to the hospital anyway.

pmgkt · 23/10/2012 08:28

I was hoping for great sleep last night. I had been asleep for 15 min when ds1 started being sick. Cue crap night.

utopian99 · 23/10/2012 08:39

Hi spotty, nothing heartburny to take as not used to needing it, have been up since last post with exactly what dh had on Saturday night, d&v (sorry for the tmi this early in the morning,) and now feel utterly wiped out but can't sleep.
Have my anesthetic review this morning so have to drag myself out of the house by 11, dh has left orders to text him every hour so he can come back from work if it gets worse.

Really worried about what happens if the bug affects the baby? He's lurching about all over the place.. Anyone know? Can't get hold of the mw till 9am.

Clarella · 23/10/2012 08:46

Oh dear utopian, - id have thought if its a gastric flu thing baby would be ok but its going to hit you harder than normal so yet and keep as hydrated as you can if you can keep anything down - I think you can make rehydration drinks out of a little sugar and salt in water? Can you call docs for advice? Ours seem to put preg ladies through on a special hotline. Hope you feel better soon x

Clarella · 23/10/2012 08:46

*Try and keep

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 23/10/2012 08:50

uropian the movement won't affect baby (I was zumbaing up until last week) and neither will a lack of diet for a few days. Baby will get all it needs from you. You however need lots of rest and to keep your fluids up. I hope it passes soon.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2012 09:08

Sorry you're ill utopian I'm sure baby will be fine just keep hydrated as Stacey said.

Anyone else been getting really hot? I've had to sleep without the covers on and I wake up all sweaty Eugh!

pmgkt · 23/10/2012 09:12

Yes spotty, I openned the window the night before last, and last night I went out for a meal and had to leave as I was burning up with just a t shirt in. Others were sat in jumpers and not bothered so I think it is hormones.

emilyeggs · 23/10/2012 09:14

Just getting out of bed now, managed a few hours sleep on the sofa until two, then woke as I was again uncomfortable so thought i'd go back into bed only to lay there for two hours trying to get comfy! Discovered sleeping up the other end of the bed helps. Think I sleep better in the mornings Hmm think one of you also said this. (not that that helps when I have to be at work for eight some days, don't start till twelve today. Eight I clock finish today followed by an eight I clock start tomorrow Sad

JoJoB77 · 23/10/2012 09:36

Morning

utopian i had a tummy bug a few weeks ago and really knocked me about. I spoke to the midwife and she wasnt concerned about the baby but suggested i speak to the doctor as it can affect you more when pregnant. Id suggest what others have, fluids and lots of rest.

Sorry to hear about all the bad sleepers. Im awake at 3am for a wee and it varies on whether i drop back off easily or not. DD woke at 5am today, toooo early, but not quite as bad as the 4am starts we've had lately...

I feel a moan coming on... I'm really tired of being pregnant right now Sad i feel so guilty for even saying those words but ive been pregnant twice in the last two years and i just want my body back. Everything is an put of breath struggle and im finding it harder to keep up with DD and picking her up is a task in itself. I feel like a bad mummy right now as im not able to give my all to her Sad

I just want the next 8 weeks to fly by and to meet my new son/daughter.

Secondsop · 23/10/2012 09:40

Morning all, sounds like most of us are struggling at night. I couldn't get to sleep till about 3 and am now utterly exhausted. About to drag myself into work a bit late.

MyDaydream · 23/10/2012 09:49

alison glad you got a good nights sleep. It makes the world of difference when I manage it.
utopian try and stay hydrated and feel better soon.
spotty I'm so got today. I put the heating on before I left the house so it would be lovely and toasty when I got back an hour later and it was such a mistake! I also have to sleep with my feet sticking out of the bed to keep me cooler.
emily I sleep so much better in the morning, but that's because DP isn't in with me!
Had the easiest doctors appointment today, been suffering with eczema and I was in the room less than 5 minutes. My driving instructor is picking me up in 10 for my last driving lesson the my test is in an hour and half! Hopefully I'll pass, we don't have the time or money for me to do another test before baby.

Cookiesandcream06 · 23/10/2012 10:08

spotty I am one hot pregnant woman! (Not as in the sense of being attractive unfortunately!) slept naked (which i hate) with no covers and the window open. Walk around town with no jacket or coat everyone else is wrapped up!?

Sorry to hear of sickness and lack of sleep. Many a 3-4-6 o clock wees here. Hope everyone is looking after themselves.
Off swimming in a bit.

Prob a bit early still for a TMI moment.. What are our cervixs supposed to be like?!

Bellaboo123 · 23/10/2012 10:12

Another hot one here - slept with the window open and ended up stripping off...

Chest pain is still really bad so have come to the drop in midwife clinic as I'm feeling totally shit! Just waiting to be seen.

utopian hope u turn the corner with the d&v urgh not nice at the best of times let along when you're pregnant
