A dirty nun sounds like an Ann summers costume, or from a prepay tv channel!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/10/2012 06:36

Is there something wrong with my phone or has no one posted since half seven last night?! Everyone ok?!

Saphiesgirl · 19/10/2012 06:45

Was wondering the same thing!

Had wc and flu jabs yesterday, sore arms! Doesn't seem as bad as the swine flu jab so far ( I get pregnant at the wrong times!). Anyone suggest how long pain lasted for them please? Am really struggling with spd- need to go back for crutches and generally feeling sorry for myself today!

Hope everyone doing ok

MaMaPo · 19/10/2012 06:47

Too busy baking then sleeping. I fancied a biscuit (or 2) with a cup of tea last night, and baking st 9.30pm seemed a better idea than getting dressed again and walking 40 seconds to the off license.

Thank Christ it's Friday. Unbelievably stressful at work at the moment.

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 19/10/2012 07:13

Thursday night is my work night, Spotty :)

HoneyMum21 · 19/10/2012 07:20

Morning all. Just checking in quickly. Still in hospital. Possibly started having contractions yesterday but they seem to have settled down (hopefully). Steroid injections all done so hoping to get home today if all stays well. Thanks again for all your support

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/10/2012 07:28

Lots of live and support coming your way honey

God I dont wanna do the school run this morning! yawn

EggsMichelle · 19/10/2012 07:39

And I thought I had killed the conversation!!!

Honey lots of positivity and if we could a lot of real baked goods would come your way!

I had a sob last night, realisation kicked in how close I am to having a little responsibility to care for and went into full blown panic mode. And I had my first labour dream, I appeared to be on a plane!

cashmere · 19/10/2012 07:42

Just checking in- don't think I've been on here since about 16 weeks!
Baby due 2nd Dec so only 6 and a bit weeks to go.
Can't wait to stop work in 2 weeks so can focus on baby stuff. This baby can't come early as have too much to do!
I've booked for a homebirth- anyone else?

Clarella · 19/10/2012 07:44

Morning honeymum - thinking of you loads and fingers crossed you get to go home later :)

A little positive story - member of our nct class went into labour at work on Monday and had her baby that evening at 32 weeks, baby boy is in a cot having her expressed milk, all well and 4lb 6 - they were supposed to be our last couple! So definitely possible to be completely fine (but maybe no more work!)

knottyhair · 19/10/2012 08:10

Thinking of you honey. Lovely story Clarella Smile. One of my friends had her son at 31 weeks (she had a car crash and he was in distress so they got him out via EMCS), and he's now a very lively gymnastic loving nearly 6 year old.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/10/2012 08:14

Thinking of you honey Smile hope you're feeling more confident and relaxed

A few people have said I've suddenly got big, certainly feels it!

Happy Friday everyone third to last Friday at work Grin

emilyeggs · 19/10/2012 08:44

Just woke up! Had mammoth ,slightly broken sleep.... Feel like I've just come out of a coma now (fuzzy head). I always sleep better in the mornings, night time is my enemy. Glad your doing ok honey and sending hugs. Hope all else are well.

Re Flu/wc jabs, I had mine Monday and they seem to be ok now, only a bit itchy now and then. The nurse said the wc jab is the same one they give babies Sad I don't want my little one being hurt but know its for the best

emilyeggs · 19/10/2012 08:44

Ps 30wks today Grin

Clarella · 19/10/2012 08:46

I've been spurred into action following several pieces of early baby news this week, regarding 'getting sorted' - upstairs is now the building work zone, bathroom knocked through and waiting to be plastered, as well as nursery, aiming all to be done in 2 weeks (fingers crossed we can also try and afford a few carpeted rooms) when ill be 37 wks - possibly before - but the thought of bringing baby home to this....! So contingency plans for living downstairs with baby if nec being employed. Haven't even bought nappies yet Hmm

DH on stag do this weekend so going to blitz it all and put everything into organised boxes. He said he didn't want to go, I don't want him to either but he does need some lads time. Me: 'what if I go into labour?!' - him: 'dont do it just to spite me....!'

Saphiesgirl · 19/10/2012 08:48

Glad you're ok honey, take care

ellliebelle · 19/10/2012 08:55

Honey fingera crossed for baby staying put a few more weeks at least. I keep joking about wanting my baby now but in pretty sure if things started happening id be rather scared.

ellliebelle · 19/10/2012 08:56

Clarella my dh has his works christmas do on december 15th (due on 24th) he is convinced im going to go into labour on 14th/15th just to spite him :)

StrawberrytallCAKE · 19/10/2012 09:19

Pleased they got the steroids in honey and hope those contractions stay away for a bit longer!!

Cookiesandcream06 · 19/10/2012 09:25

Thinking of you honeymum everything crossed and hoping you get to come home soon.

Mums at the school said I had grown loads in a week spotty I really am stretching out too! Babbas must be growing! Anyone else really itchy ALLLL over?!

Last day at work today!! I don't feel ready to leave?! As much as I've been willing for this day to come it seems like it's such a long time till baby is here, but the next few weeks are annual leave booked in for DDs half term so not like ill be putting my feet up!!

kate2boysandabump · 19/10/2012 09:44

Honey Glad everything is looking good for you and your baby, you're in the right place.

Cookies Enjoy your last day at work Smile

Spotty Is today your last day with your nightmare boss? Are you tempted to give it to him straight?

emily I was reassured when I had my flu jab, I had it from the nurse that does the baby imms. She didn't hurt me, so she mustn't have hurt my babies either Smile

My bump slipped off its support pillow in the night and it was so sore this morning, all that weight hanging down Sad

I have checked my message today, never posting from my phone again Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 19/10/2012 09:58

Yep he's in holiday after today Grin although he's being nice today Hmm

cookies I'm not itchy yet but know it'll come. Slather some body butter on it!

cherrypiew3 · 19/10/2012 10:06

Honey Glad everything is looking better hope you can get home today.

cookies have a good last day.

Quick question had wc and flu jab on wednesday, arms have been a bit sore. All day yesterday flu jab arm was fine I have been awake on and off all night with my arm hurting. Got up this morning and my arm is very red swollen and hot. I have had flu jab every year and never had this reaction is this a normal thing to happen?

WeeJo08 · 19/10/2012 10:11

Happy Friday everyone! 4 weeks today until I finish - it can't come soon enough!! Even though I think I am relatively mobile, everything just seems such a massive effort!! Didn't post yesterday but meant to tell you guys, we ordered our Moses basket :) My MiL had given us some vouchers for John Lewis and DH found a fantastic deal on a Moses basket from there - £70 reduced down to £30 Grin Here's the link: www.johnlewis.com/231088567/Product.aspx

We are following advice on here and getting it delivered to a nearby Waitrose for free, so thank you for the tip! As you can see, it is most DEFINITELY not neutral, so we are putting great faith in our sonographer!!! We also got a little gro-bag too, we hope to use it straight away but obviously depends on what size baby is! www.johnlewis.com/354035/Product.aspx

Honey Gad you are doing well and you have got the steroids. Friends of ours had their baby boy early (just shy of 34 weeks I think) - he was 4lbs 5oz when born and they were both let home last night! :) They were in hospital for just 11 days, which I think is great and very reassuring.

Just wanted to ask you guys about two things (two very silly things) - I don't know if you have seen on the Pregnancy thread the question about first babies being late and also the correlation between when the baby comes and when your Mum's first baby came? I was wondering if those of you who already have kids were late/early/on time with your first and whether this matched your Mum? Also, and this is VERY VERY silly, have you heard the theory about more babies being born on the full moon? Blush Please don't throw me off the thread Sad

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/10/2012 10:13

Urgh having to tidy my house as landlord is coming over this afternoon to try and fix the light in my bathroom, which isn't a bad thing as if it gets fixed I can stop bathing in the dark lol. But the tidying is making me feel sick, I can't bend down without pain/thinking I'm going to puke! Oh the joys!
