pass I go to my local Asian cash and carry and buy the plastic tubs with lids that you get takeaway Chinese in, the rectangular ones. They are a few pounds for 20 and stack up nicely in the freezer!

FatimaLovesBread · 08/10/2012 19:58

Well I've finished my day of jobs, feel quite good as I got quite a few things ticked off my list. But not so good as i'm now having BH coupled with the baby feeling like it's trying to break through my tummy skin Grin
I think a nice warm bath is in order and an early night.

I thought of a few things I was going to ask on the thread early but now I can't remember, bloody baby brain

TheDetective · 08/10/2012 20:11

I am currently regretting the birthing ball! I got the baby in the pelvis alright... and it can get back out of there! Shock

I'm off to hang one's self upside down!!

I can't walk!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 08/10/2012 20:23

detective I second the birthing ball sweaty bum! Though my main problem is that I can only get it out when DS isn't about as he thinks it is for home to play with and gets really upsaet with me for not sharing!

gt that's really soon! Try and make the most of some quiet for the rest of the week and I think hiding in your room is a great idea. I am doing it now. With a rice crispie caramel square!

stunt No worry, wasn't getting all worked up about it it just crossed my mind is all, and you are right, is only because of the massive impact and huge media attention. Thalidomide is used to great advantage now, successfully, with cancer patients.
Xx

Just been to yoga!!! Feel relaxed but with aching arms!! Think the jabs are working lol

Chickens are here so hopefully more eggs!!

I don't get sweaty on the ball?! Baby active againbut def getting more bh. Lasting a longer time now but still ok. They feel oddly comforting?!

Passmethecrisps · 08/10/2012 21:08

Bump moves almost constantly it seems. Poor cat can't get peace leaning against it any more.

horseylady · 08/10/2012 21:10

Pass my cat gave up sitting near the bump ages ago.

ShellyBobbs · 08/10/2012 21:15

My arse seems to be sweaty most of the time there days, on or off my call. Also glad i'm not the only one who couldn't give a rats about batch cooking!

ShellyBobbs · 08/10/2012 21:16

*ball

DonnaDoon · 08/10/2012 21:16

Hi folks quick update i had a baby girl yesterday she is six pound nine oz and was thirty six wks plus three we both fine

TheDetective · 08/10/2012 21:17

Funnily enough, the only time baby doesn't move now is when the dog is touching or near the bump!

It is going crazy this evening, really quite uncomfortable, I've got all kinds of pillows and cushions propping me up, but just can not get comfortable.

All baby and no room for me any more!

TheDetective · 08/10/2012 21:19

OMG Donna! Bit of a Shock then! Wow! And congratulations!

Catbag · 08/10/2012 21:20

Congratulations Donna! Fantastic weight too. Upload us a pic when you get a chance!

On a deeply personal and selfish note-

TheDetective · 08/10/2012 21:21

I'm just one big sweat fest :( Under boobs, bum, forehead (under my fringe, yuk!) creases of arms, even the bags under my eyes sweat ffs.

TheDetective · 08/10/2012 21:21

I think Catbag may be getting jealous Grin

Catbag · 08/10/2012 21:23

The Cat says yes :(

DonnaDoon · 08/10/2012 21:28

Thankyou im on crap phone sorry

Passmethecrisps · 08/10/2012 21:29

Another one! Congrats donna how awesome! Will she need to be in hospital or can you get straight home?

Twice in the last week someone has looked at my bump and said "I think baby will be in there for a while yet" humph!!

horseylady · 08/10/2012 21:32

Congrats Donna!!!

The babies are really coming quickly now!!!

Cacacaz · 08/10/2012 21:33

Many congratulations thechick and Donnadoon I can't believe we have had 3 new arrivals within the past few days!

I'm very uncomfortable today, I think I want to hibernate for a week or two! Today wast first day of maternity leave I thinks nesting instinct has kicked in. Had doctors appointment first thing for flu vaccine, followed by a lovely manicure. Then cooked a pot of potato and leek soup and casserole for tonights dinner, tackled a few loads of washing and the mountain of ironing too Dh and I also went to the cinema to watch the new Taken film, baby was very active during the gun shots scenes which after Sat was a welcome reassurance.

I'm getting annoyed with the lack of knowledge re whooping cough vaccine, no one seems to know what the plan is, I've been asked to phone doctors surgery again on Friday, the nurse reckons they should have it organised by then. I will be 37 weeks at the earliest before I get the vaccine, if at all, at this rate.

I also seem to be rather sweaty so can empathise with all you other sweaty ladies.

Our pram is going to be delivered on Wednesday Grin then we are as ready as ever for baby to arrive!

Catbag · 08/10/2012 21:36

Pass I get exactly the opposite- "Ooo, any day now!" For three weeks so far. I will headbutt the next person who says that.

Catbag · 08/10/2012 21:37

cacacaz Impressed with your energy! Haven't had any nesty-ness at all this time :/

ValiumQueen · 08/10/2012 21:44

donna I didn't know you were expecting twins Grin. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Look forward to hearing all about it.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 08/10/2012 21:48

Congrats donna!

Am also a sweaty mess and its only going to get worse post birth. Something else joyful to look forward to, it's a glam process from start to finish really.

Last day at work is Friday but boss did m appraisal today then took me out for lunch with our team, and the baby was forced to compete for space wih the Pizza Hut buffet. The baby lost that battle.

Now curled up in bed with DD who still will not sleep in her room or bed. Converting the cot into a bed failed to appeal to her. DH is a chef so works most evenings, I can see evenings spent in bed feeding the baby and DD running around until she passes out. Hmmm. Must try harder to get DD back not her bed. Lazy parenting is going to bite me on the arse.
