Sorry to everyone feeling rough, I'm feeling OK just constantly tired and i feel like my bladder has shrunk to size of a pea!! I have noticed today that rather then my boobs getting bigger they appear to be changing shape?!? anyone else have that? Hope it's normal. Shall now worry about malfunctioning breasts! Confused

10 weeks today!

LittleBairn · 13/10/2012 11:18

pickle yes mine have totally changed shape, very odd!
I'm in a really grumpy mood I'm just so bored sick of being stuck indoors and ignored by my workaholic husband. I like our new house but hate the area. Sad

FrenchLimeBlossom · 13/10/2012 13:56

Hello all, just joining in if I may? Due on may 17th so 9/10 weeks at the moment, private scan booked for next weekend as I cannot wait til 1st nov.

Feeling sick like with DS but more nauseous through the days. Waist already thickened so my jeans are too tight and breasts are suddenly huge. Argh what is going on, barely 2 months in..... Body clearly remembers how to do this from last time!

And had forgotten the sheer tiredness!

But I will be worth it in the end. Must dash as DS now awake from his nap, will check in later! Have a good day ladies

TerrorCottaPumpkinPie · 13/10/2012 14:00

My boobs never get bigger or change shape. I always feel hard done by Grin.

I've just had some post from the hospital. I've got my consultant appointment through. I don't know exactly what they'll want to talk about. "I see you had a big baby last time?", "Yes", "Any GD?", "No", "Any other problems?", "No". The end and goodbye after that hopefully. The letter says to go with a full bladder but they won't be scanning me so not really sure why. Unless its just the generic blurb that gets put on the letters?

Also got a date in February for oral GDD test. 410ml of lucozade in 10 minutes for breakfast after nothing except water from 8.30pm the night before. And then still 2 hours until I can eat again. Sounds great. It does say at the start of the letter that the test is being 'offered' so I might just decide when it comes round whether I feel I need it or not. The only indication for it? A big baby. They knew I was having a big one last time but I wasn't offered the test then. I'm moaning, sorry. It's just a 40+ mile round trip with an appt time of 8.20am. I don't wanna go!

Hope you're all having a relaxing Saturday :)

10+3

TerrorCottaPumpkinPie · 13/10/2012 14:04

Welcome and congratulations FLB :)

Think a fair few have had private scans for reassurance. I've got my dating scan in 11 days and have been trying to not be too impatient for it! How old is your DS?

beaver33 · 13/10/2012 15:44

Hi French and nice to have you join us. There's a May 2013 stats thread somewhere - you should add yourself in.

Terror what's an oral GDD test? Never heard of it. Do we all get one?

Feeling emotional today. Like, I cried at X Factor USA (I NEVER watch it), the new Talk Talk advert and the John Lewis one. D'you reckon I'm preggers??

TerrorCottaPumpkinPie · 13/10/2012 15:54

Oops Beaver. No idea why I put the D's in there! Should have been GTT (glucose tolerance test). And no, not everyone gets it. Will be a first for me.

RTchoke · 13/10/2012 17:32

TerraCotta - how big was yyour last baby? Mine was 10lbs 2oz but I've not been told I have to see consultant for that (although to be fair I have to see him due to previous pre-eclampsiaso maybe he'll discuss birth weight as well). I refuse the GTT everytime as it makes me sick, I've never had any symptoms for diabetes & huge babies run in our family.

Rhienne · 13/10/2012 18:06

Hi all. Another long week for me. Over did it a bit on the weekend, and have been home sick most of the week, but actually think the MS is easing. Touch wood!

Now we seem to have moved on to stabbing pains in the ribs radiating into my shoulder, and shortness of breath. Both of which I've found in various pregnancy books and websites. So I guess it's normal! Hmm

But overall I'm pretty good. Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. :)

TerrorCottaPumpkinPie · 13/10/2012 18:49

RT he was 11lb and big just because he was. No diabetes. No other reason. As the GTT is not until Feb I'll probably just see how things are. Currently leaning towards not having it though. Will see what the consultant says to me next month. Although "You are discharged back to MW led care" had better factor in there somewhere! Aren't big babies fun Grin?

FrenchLimeBlossom · 13/10/2012 20:45

Hi all, thanks for the welcome! I popped my stats on the stats thread earlier too so think I'm up to date.....

terror my DS will be 2 in 2 weeks so there'll be about 30 months between them, hopefully a good age gap. Other friends' children seem to have coped ok at that sort of gap so fingers crossed.

Am currently back in the 'I only eat lunch and the rest of the time I only eat salt and vinegar crisps' territory. So sick, and then I just eat crap. However midwife did say that was normal, and it was just like this before, so am hoping that all will be well!

cuppateaandagingersnap · 13/10/2012 23:08

Hi French, welcome!

I hear you with the salt and vinegar crisps, all I seem to manage to eat at the moment is salt and vinegar or ready salted hula hoops and my sickness just gets worse as the day goes on, usually can manage a reasonably healthy meal if I eat it just before midday Hmm

twinklingelephant · 13/10/2012 23:24

Evening ladies, haven't been on here in a while. Had booking appt last saturday which was good and scan a week on wednesday, can't wait for that.
I'm so bored of spending every evening / weekend at home. mostly on my own as dh often works evenings/weekends. sooooooo bored. can't wait until we can tell people - and stop trying to hide the bloat/bump!

PedanticPanda · 14/10/2012 09:03

Morning all, how is everyone?

I phoned my doctor on Friday as I couldn't take being so ill anymore. He told me to come in and made an appointment that day for me. Turns out I had a urine infection even though I've had no symptoms of it, but it's attacked everywhere else as my immune system is weak just now because of pregnancy. That's why I've been so ill, so I've been given penicillin to help and he's doing some more tests just to make sure there's nothing else going on.

So hopefully in a few days I'll be feeling better.

PedanticPanda · 14/10/2012 09:04

*but unfortunately that won't take the nausea away, that's still there in full force! Only 3 and a half weeks though until the 12 week mark so that should hopefully get better then. Has anyone else reached 12 weeks yet?

TerrorCottaPumpkinPie · 14/10/2012 09:20

Poor you Panda! At least you know what's been up. Get rid of this UTI and then you can embrace all the pregnancy symptoms fully Grin.

I kind of know how you're feeling albeit with different things. I've just finished some antibiotics (my second lot) for a chest infection. I'm still not wholly sure it's gone. Just look out for thrush now you're on ABs. Thanks to them I've got it and it's crap :(

Fingers crossed you feel better in a couple of days :)

ThePhantomPlopper · 14/10/2012 10:46

Hello all, haven't been on much as DH is working away and I've got my hands full with the 3 DC. Sorry to read that a few people have left the thread.

12 weeks on Thursday and have my scan on Friday! Bit worried that they're going to tell me I was imagining it all, my symptoms got much better at 8 weeks and although my boobs are still killing me and I'm tired the sickness seems to have eased completely.

My midwife moved my due date to the 28th April at my booking appointment but I have a longer cycle than their wheel takes into account so shall stay here.

Going to have read through the thread and catch up with all your news.

beaver33 · 14/10/2012 10:57

Panda I had the same thing (UTI). I have no symptoms either but doctor said it was probably making me feel more exhausted and could be making me more sick. Annoyingly, they've sent away the urine sample to find out what kind of bug it is so I won't get the results, or antibiotics, until tomorrow.

Hope we all start to feel better soon!

twinklingelephant · 14/10/2012 13:10

Oooh, UTI sounds painful on top of MS. Hope you get sorted soon.
I'm making a bad effort at trying to get stuff done today. Nothing accomplished so far. DH, on his way to work, suggested I had a shower then I could put some washing on & tidy up. There's motivation for you!!

twinklingelephant · 14/10/2012 13:13

I've decided instead to take a bar of fruit & nut & a magazine & have a bath. Much more appealing! 11+1 today & impatient for scan on 12+4 so I can finally apologise to friends for bailing so much the past three months. That's if they'll still speak to me!!

Bunnychan · 14/10/2012 13:58

twinkling elephant I finally ate chocolate for the first time in 6 weeks yesterday! Hurray that aversion is fading! Yum.., fruit and nut x

berri · 14/10/2012 14:03

panda poor you, at least you'll hopefully start feeling better now.

Mmmm fruit and nut....the chocolate in the USA is not as good imho!

11+3

LittleBairn · 14/10/2012 14:07

panda eek UTis don't sound present. Hope your getting plenty of rest.

I'm doing ok as long as I don't eat in the evening plus I am getting much more sleep.

twingling I'm incredibly bored I feel like a 5 year old moaning about it. I've just been watching a lot of movies and reading loads. I really want to get out and do something but then I feel sick and dizzy. Plus everyone is either busy or at work so I have to go alone, I usually love my own company but I'm even bored of myself now!
