Hi all, will have to post and run as DH is back and we are going to ILs for weekend. Deep joy.
Anyway, saw MW and heard heartbeat. All good. Said everything was just as it should be and that I possible wasn't feeling much movement yet as placenta was probs at front. So that's all good news and a relief.

In other news, DD has got chicken pox. So looks like I'll be having a few days at home next week!

hope you are all ok and will try to cach up over the weekend.

theTramp · 12/10/2012 12:01

Emus - good luck with move!

Zoey - hurrah!

Confud - sorry to hear you're still suffering my dear, hope you start feeling more like your old self soon, until then rest up.

JoJo - I'll post a link shortly to a pillow that has been recommended to me by every man and his dog (or woman with a child!)

Ethel - chicken pox, oh poor thing. And pleased mind is at rest.

JoJo - I tell a lie, I can't find it. But John Lewis sell them and they're advertised all over the shop. When I have time to hunt about proper I'll post link for you.

Hi all just thought i'd pop my name in the hat, due 19th March got second scan on 30th of this month, which also happens to be my birthday, what a bargain.

Currently not doing to bad feeling a few wiggles here and there and definately bumping out now, into the maternity clothes a few weeks ago and feeling 100% better for it. Still absolutely shattered and not sleeping through, peeing every half hour (or so it feels like) but im just putting it down to the jumping bean!

Sheldonella · 12/10/2012 13:20

Morning everyone. Still got the horrible cold so didn't go in to work today. Awful night's sleep with amvery sore throat.

Welcome haveaniceday!
Ethel Sorry to hear your DD has chicken pox. Hope she gets over it quickly and is not too uncomfortable.

sundae How are you today?

Emus Good luck with the move!

zoey How lovely about the kick, they have a real ability to cheer you up don't they :)

sundaesundae · 12/10/2012 14:25

Hiya, not too bad, tiny bit of brown when I wipe, but have been driving or on my feet all day so far, so think it is just from yesterday. Sitting down with my cats and eating cake and thanking the lord on high that my cleaner has been whilst I was out working :)

TheAngelshavetheOod · 12/10/2012 14:30

Welcome hevaniceday

newyearsday · 12/10/2012 14:44

Hello everyone,

I'm the occasional poster, I just have so much on at the mo. I don't know how you all find the time to keep up! When my LO has an afternoon nap I throw myself on the sofa and have one too.

I had my 20wk scan yesterday and everything looked healthy, very wriggly baby with a big tummy. And it's a boy! Really pleased. My DH and I are both from brother/sister families so having two boys will be different. DS (17mths) is really blossoming at the mo. getting more independent and talking more, I think he'll make a lovely big brother. If you ask him "where's the baby?" he points to my tummy and kisses it ahhhhhh.

Feeling much more excited about the birth now. We've been meeting doulas and learning lots, I'm doing some antenatal exercise classes, feeling very well in myself. Even though we're trying to move house and I have no idea yet where we'll be living I'm not too worried.

Good luck everyone with the 20wk scans!

zoeymlucas · 12/10/2012 15:09

Congrats on your 20 week scan newyears and even bigger congrats on another little boy, I have 2 boys and am epecting boy number 3 and its fab!!

Sundae Keep resting everything else can and WILL wait :)

Good luck with the move Emus and fx crossed everything goes to plan as moving can be very stressful at the best of times!

Went to our sister company today where I pop from time to time but dont really know anyone and got my first random belly rub from someone there which slightly caught me off guard I forgot that happens when pregnant and I suppose with the size I am already blinking HUGE it was bound to come soon! I dont tend to mind if they just ask but walking up to me and rubbing me feels a bit weird

mandasand · 12/10/2012 16:18

Mammoth post alert ...

Poor Lexi, Confuddled, Sheldon and all others feeling rough! I read our immune systems are a bit low owing to looking after our babies so we are prone to get stuff. Have been okay myself bar some sniffles. Though after being served two running eggs with rice for lunch (this makes sense in the context of me being a vegetarian in France) and eating it all because I was so hungry, I'm now petrified of contracting salmonella!

Paris is GREAT today! My conference paper seems to have gone down v. well and the sun is now shining and DH is coming late tonight and I have my fingers crossed for a sunny birthday weekend - our final pre-babies fling! Yippeeeee!

May even take your advice Three and have a small glass of champagne Smile (And I'm v.v.v. impressed with your DH and the spontaneous kitchen-cleaning!)

Oooh on another hypochondriac note, is anyone else bruising easily? I've got tons of little bruises on lower legs with no recollection of why. Also, my veins have gone mental. Lots of new thread veins all of a sudden, some big momma blue veins popping up. Attractive. Very much hoping that most stuff with die down after birth as it's not a pretty sight!

Pink I'm getting a bit of lower backache and was thinking of getting back to the osteopath (as recommended by MW) and a friend recommends pregnancy massage - have you tried that? Glad you're all on the right side of the sickness bug!

Ethel yay for return of the DH! And heartbeat!

newyears yippee for scan! What a cute little DS too!

Possom hurray for your jollies! Bet DS enjoys hanging out with his mum!

Waves at Lanny!

Welcome Hevan!

Ood hope you're okay after the slip?

Emus FX you complete and move in properly today - been a long time coming!

Flowery my DH so impressed with the expensive German hoover he insisted we buy that he actually does a lot of the hoovering - I love it, hehe! Any opportunity to whip it out (so to speak).

GummiberryJuice · 12/10/2012 16:31

Ethel have you had chickenpox you need to ring your gp, they might want to give you a blood test to check your immune, dd1 had them when I was pg with ds, and I had to get blood test I still had immunity from I had them when I was 11

Welvom hevan I'm your scan buddy for the 30th

Ohhh Newyears that brings us 50/50 girls and boy so far glad everything was good

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 17:18

Have I missed the stats thread for teams? Or are we just updating the old stats thread??! I've just spent 4 hours napping through abdominal cramps and feeling a bit drained!
I thought going back to Uni this week would be helpful but to be honest I feel weeks behind everyone else writing their dissertations and could just do with a personal tutor telling me step by step what I should do as I have absolutely no idea!!
I'm very frustrated but so drained I don't want to even think about it! Luckily I had no lectures today :)
On the plus dude I've found the pram I was going to buy for £100 secondhand :) also the baby monitor I wanted second hand too. Both should be purchased this week :)

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 17:23

Welcome hevan sorry, I ranted before welcoming you :)

Lexiindisguise · 12/10/2012 17:46

Welcome hevan and Ood I hope you are OK after your slip. manda Paris sounds heavenly!
newyearsday congratulations on your scan!
We went for our 20 week scan today and all is well, growth looks spot on. Baby would not co-operate with gender scan as was standing on head with legs clamped together but sonographer was '80%' sure by the end it was a little girl. So we will look at girl's names and call her 'she' but have a boy's name in reserve! Wink Very relieved all looks healthy and DD was waving away, as I'd not felt any movements yet.

Sheldonella · 12/10/2012 17:54

Congrats on finding out the gender newyears and Lexi it's so exciting isn't it. I love being able to say DD now, makes her so real, especially as she has been kicking me all afternoon.

JoJo the old stats thread is being used but the list was started again. That sounds like a great deal on the pram. I still haven't bought anything. The plan is to buy a moses basket after my 20 week scan on the 23rd.

manda Hope you are enjoying Paris! Glad your paper went down well. I have those thread veins suddenly, my thighs look horrible.

Right, pizza dough is nearly ready, must go make pizza :)

Em2010 · 12/10/2012 17:58

Apologies - Must post and run as I don't want a repeat of yesterday's starkers fish finger supper....

Welcome hevan!

Congratulations to newyears on your little boy and lexi on your (probable!) little girl! Lovely, one of each keeping the stats nice and even!

Sorry to those of you not feeling well. Horrid!

manda glad you're enjoying Paris.

ethel good news that dh is home, hope you can get your feet up tonight!

sundae glad no more pink blood, hope you are also getting you feet up tonight! In fact hope everyone has a nice relaxing evening!!

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 18:09

lexi fab news!!! Wow a dd! My DS was on his head too, though playing with his feet, which made it easier to peek! I'm not sure how accurate it is though. She pointed to what she thought was a penis and what she thought was a scrotum, but between holding his ties and letting them go to kick me he was pretty active :)

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 18:14

sheldon I bought a Moses basket and stand with lots of blankets thrown in for £15. If I get the pram at that price I'll have saved £270 and the monitor I wanted was an angel care one so that's £55 saved. Have been donated a cot but haven't seen it yet. Fx I'm happy with it so will just have to buy mattresses for Moses basket and cot also car seat and base. That's all my major purchases. Anything else I get will be a bonus!!

Em2010 · 12/10/2012 19:25

Ooh which pram are you after jojo?

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 19:28

Em its the Mothercare my choice 3 wheeled version. Not desperately overpriced as new but as a skint student I need to reel my neck in a bit!

Em2010 · 12/10/2012 19:35

They're nice!!! My friend had one in green, it looked really snug and stylish. £100 = bargain!

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 19:42

I loved the green one but as my oh is ginger he insists we can't have green because it will clash!!! Sigh for man logic!! I really like the red!

Sheldonella · 12/10/2012 19:56

I was planning to get a green pram and my DH is ginger. I think he looks lovely in green Grin

GummiberryJuice · 12/10/2012 19:56

Jojo well done on bargains

I have discovered if sit on edge of seat and lean over (bump inbetween legs kind of thing) baby goes mad everytime so quite happy to believe its baby and not indigestion, think with no 4 I would be more confident.

JoJoBella84 · 12/10/2012 19:58

Mr JoJo has a weird aversion to colour... Honestly he lives in black, white, grey and navy blue!!
It's not that colours don't suit him, it's just his low self esteem! Luckily there are many nice prams in the acceptable colour ranges :)
