Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Oh my god that is just too exciting. Maybe you'll get a balloon!

breakfast Bon bons rule

FrustratedSycamorePants · 25/09/2012 08:08

Feel even more nauseous at thought of bonbons. You can keep your sugar. I'll have ready salted crisps. Must eat breakfast. Not good since I'm not a breakfast person but I feel yuck this morning. Maybe a finger biscuit will do it.

Must pick up pack from doctors on way to town after school run. And figure out how i can get a Emma's diary pack. bounty pack is easy Also need to get ginger bears.

I have to admit I went on eBay last night and bought maternity trousers.
Question, Confused what is a bump wrap and do I need one?

OP posts:
Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 08:11

Is it that stretchy tube you put over your middle if your trousers sit below the bump? As a cold person I've always fancied one as a non pg person, they look well cosy.

What's an Emma's diary pack and I'm assuming you're not referring to chocolate with the bounty pack?

Sorry to hear about nausea, hasn't hit me yet...

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 08:19

I really hope my pregnancy journal turns up today!! I ordered ages ago! Don't buy stuff from Waterstones...takes forever to arrive! I only did because I had a Christmas voucher to use.

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 08:21

Yeah I want to know what a Emma thing is? :-)

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 08:22

I saw a sign in Superdrug saying ask for your free pregnancy pack...without a bump I'd feel a bit awkward asking for one of those :-)

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 08:22

What?! People have a pregnancy journal? I am so ignorant of everything.

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 08:25

Oooo is the bounty thing free nappies on the pampers site?

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 08:27

Thunder don't panic :-) there are loads of lovely lookin ones on Amazon to browse :-) I'm hoping mine is really good because it is UK based...a lot of them are American. I'll let you know when it arrives!

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 08:33

Ok thanks pear. I'm passing super drug in about twenty mins, shall I see if mine are doing it too? as I'm clearly the plonker who has no shame

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 08:38

Ok I've signed up to bounty club via the pampers site and it says we get our first free Bounty pack at the 12 week midwife appointment...this is the pack they're all talking about Thunder in the pack you get a voucher for your free 2nd pack and you then take the voucher to Superdrug or Boots. There are 4 packs to collect throughout the pregnancy.

kittykatskumkwat · 25/09/2012 08:38

Emma's diary is a website going through the stages of pregnancy etc, the bounty bag is alot of mini freebies sudacrem nappies etc and leaflets on scans what not ( no chocolate!!) as far as I'm aware the band thunder mentioned us called a bump band, I had one last time for when your still wearing your own jeans etc but have button undone or use a hair elastic looped around button and hole - a great tip!!
A bump wrap to me would mean where you can put plaster on your tummy to make a cast?! Maybe they have a couple of names?!
I never had a journel- I was only pregnant a umyear ago but I think everything's changed alot again, I think your 20 wk scan is now 21-23 for alot if places now

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 08:45

Ohhh. Ok I won't go and ask for a pack in super drug then, ha!

Will check out this Emma bird when I get home though.

kittykatskumkwat · 25/09/2012 08:51

The pack in superdrug will probably be bag2? I know you used to get them from boots or sainsburys, if it was bag one you should get it at your midwife appointment anyway

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 10:09

We're talking about the same thing on both threads :-)

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 10:17

Journal has finally arrived. It is so lovely! Beautiful illustrations, weekly updates from week 9. Lots of small areas to write how you feel but not too many that its going to take too long and become a chore. Perfect size for handbag with hardcover. Can't recommend enough! It's called Bump to Birthday by Helen Stephens and Lucy Tapper

FrustratedSycamorePants · 25/09/2012 10:34

That's the one thunder. Do I need one. Hmm

Emma's diary do bumf like bounty do too. not that I'm out for all the freebies I can get I am Grin

Had a look at Emma's diary yep work isn't really happening today and I thought it was quite strange, it was about her partner Nick giving up smoking. Not very relevant to my life really but maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing typical thunder idiotness

Sorry frus, what's the one? confused and missing lots of caffeine

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 11:01

LOL Thunder what on earth have you been looking at?!! :-) I think this is what we need to look at: Emma's Diary
www.emmasdiary.co.uk

IBelieveInPink · 25/09/2012 11:05

Ooh ooh I want a journal too! I am so desperate for this time to pass, am 4+6 today. Can't wait to be 12! Seems like forever away!

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 11:08

Ha!

That IS what I looked at! I selected 'pregnancy' from the topics and then it let me choose from a list so I picked week 6 as it was the first one....

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 11:09

pink! I am 4+6 today too!!

kittykatskumkwat · 25/09/2012 11:54

There is her personal diary but a different one aswell where it's about babies development thunder,
I have just booked booking in app with midwife but it's not till I'm 9 1/2 weeks minimum that seems late doesn't it?!
Just looked up reassurance scans and there's a place near me that does it for £55 so think I will do it around 8 wks for dating aswell as I don't want the 12wk one too late, I really want this one to stick around!!

Thundercatsarego · 25/09/2012 12:15

Hey kitty, cool thanks for that, I obviously need to do a bit more exploring!

9 1/2 weeks seems too far away!! I'm having trouble waiting til my doc's appt next Monday (and I'm guessing not much will happen at it!).

peardrop2 · 25/09/2012 13:10

Well after reading about your bookings I thought I better just call the doctors and see if I am meant to be seeing the midwife soon. I'm now booked to see the midwife on 11 Oct when I'll be 8 weeks. Apparently your first midwife appointment is between week 8 and 11 at my surgery so week 9 isn't so bad kitty after all. I know it feels like a long time away :-/
