Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Oh wow pear that's so amazing. I hope you can relax now.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 18/10/2012 21:40

Mmm donuts. Actually it's more of a hmm than a mmm, as no kk near me.

On the plus side, took my anti-sickness at 7, (take 1 at night) and I haven't been sick, I don't feel nauseous, and I've eaten, and was hungry enough to eat supper too! Yay! Fx it keeps doing what it should and works all day tomorrow too.

How was your booking in thund?

My drs app was strange (don't have to see drs for pg here) I was asked If it was planned, when I found out, whether my boobs hurt think she was checking for other symptoms and if I was weeing alot. Felt strange discussing pg with a dr. Maybe they miss it, but at least it is all on my notes and official in that sence.

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 21:49

Ello everyone.

pear that's fantastic, excellent stuff! Does that give you confidence to save your money and buy something gorgeous in a few weeks now?

frus, also good re drugs.

I loved booking appointment, lots of questions, getting a big pack to carry around and finding out my real height. Got a tour too which was weird great.

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 22:04

JoJo sorry Hun I think 7 weeks might be a bit too early. We spent an hour looking last night at 9+1 and couldn't find anything so I think even 9 weeks is early to find hb every time. I've read that someone using my Doppler found a hb at 8+4.

Thank you Frus and Thunder I feel so much better right now! Frus sorry to hear the sickness is still looming...boo to that!! Thunder glad to hear you had a good appt and all went well. I still haven't read the whole pack, so much to take in!

Just told my mum about the Doppler and she said shrieked that she wanted to have a baby again so that she could buy one. Slightly worrying to hear a 60+ women my own mother say that Grin

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 22:05

Oh and Thunder yeah I think that helps with the final part of the 2.5ww!

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 22:07

Frus uuuuhhhh I meant to say Happy to hear that your sickness is at bay! Yay

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 22:43
peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 22:49

Thunder gold stars for everyone?

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 23:06

Yes yes yes! Absolutely!

and doughnuts

merrygiant · 18/10/2012 23:38

Yay, pear, nice work with the doppler. It must be so nice to be able to do that yourself at home.

Yay frus for your sickness-freedom, lucky you and I hope they continue working for you.

Thunder - the booking really makes it all real hey? So exactly how tall are you???

We don't have to see the GP in pregnancy round here unless you need something but I was thinking about how much more often I will probably be in there once this baby comes along. Any current mum's got any advice? Is it worth building up a 'relationship' with your GP?

Jojoba1986 · 19/10/2012 00:33

Not talking tonight to avoid upsetting the general happiness! Might be going to the GP tomorrow to see if we can do something about this nausea!

Thundernonk · 19/10/2012 07:58

Get yourself down there, jojo!

merry, I'm a whole 174cm of woman, me.

Morning all. Friday's here!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 19/10/2012 08:27

jojo get yourself to the doctors

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 19/10/2012 08:28

What's that in feet and inches thund?

Thundernonk · 19/10/2012 08:50

Just a bit shy of 5'9'' I remain easy to get blood from too!

Still feeling better frus?

Jojoba1986 · 19/10/2012 09:22

Waiting for the doctor to call for a phone consultation at some point today. I only live 2 minutes away! If they rang me to say the Dr would be ready to call me soon then I could go in & see them. I hate phones. Sad
I don't even know what I'm going to say. I feel really pathetic - there are women who have HG all through a pregnancy & I'm whinging about nausea! Blush It really is stopping me eating/drinking normally so I know I need to do something about it, I'm just scared they'll fob me off with some advice I've already heard & I'll feel even more pathetic! Sad

How's everyone else doing today? Cheer me up with your happiness!

Thundernonk · 19/10/2012 09:45

jojo, don't worry, you are perfectly right to be asking for help with this, so banish any guilty feelings.

Just say exactly what you're saying here, you're x weeks pregnant and the nausea has been getting worse to the point where now its stopping you from eating or drinking normally. Write it down if it'll help you not feel so flustered. Then let the doc do the talking.

I'm sure it will go fine. My happy news is even though I feel knackered constantly, I don't feel as rough today at all, which is very refreshing!

And breathe......

peardrop2 · 19/10/2012 10:35

Wow Thunder I wish I was that tall and took blood easy. I'm Envy Grin

I've booked in go see the nurse 10minutes before my mw appt next Thursday so that she can take my blood because she always gets it first time. I'm such a wuss and I'm going to find it hard to face the mw when she discovers what I've done. Hope she won't be annoyed Blush

Thundernonk · 19/10/2012 10:39

Hey pear, sounds very sensible to me. Seeing as she failed last time, she should be embarrassed rather than annoyed, of anything at all. If it were me I'd think you were just sensible finding a solution!

I'd like to be smaller but I'm not going to complain!

peardrop2 · 19/10/2012 11:05

Thanks for saying that Thunder! Just couldn't face being stabbed twice for nothing again plus I can't keep having time off work if mw failed again. Also, as we know I've become a bit of a worrier so I thought I'd nip this one in the bud rather then spend two weeks worrying that I'd have to go through that experience again as it wasn't pleasant. I'm sure it is a real pain to find clothes being that tall...guess everything has its disadvantages!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 19/10/2012 11:09

jojo don't let them fob you off. They gave me drugs I'm sure they can give you some.

thund I shall look you in straight in the eye at that height.

Lorelei353 · 19/10/2012 11:14

Good morning. Lots of positivity here today!

pear that's amazing about the hb. So exciting.
frus glad you're feeling better. Hope you can get sorted too jojo.

Had a rough evening last night feeling SO nauseous. Felt better after pizza but wiped out. It feels absolutely ludicrous to be SO tired when I haven't been doing anything! 8 hours sleep a night and straight home after work (which is office-based, so not physically demanding) and I'm still wiped by 10pm. In other news my boobs are very sore.

However, I do feel a bit perkier today. I have also discovered that Pret sparkling Ginger Beer is my new best friend. Little sips every once in a while seems to be keeping queasy feelings at bay.

And it's Friday. Woo hoo!

Thundernonk · 19/10/2012 11:14

Maybe I've got an enormous forehead though frus, and you'd have to look a bit down to find my eye....

Jojoba1986 · 19/10/2012 12:46

Finally just spoke to the doctor! He was very understanding unlike my DH & didn't once suggest I should be trying to force myself to eat/drink unlike my DH...! He's prescribed an antihistamine so my super kind & supportive DH is going to go pick up the prescription for me! Smile I just hope I can actually swallow the things!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 19/10/2012 13:15

Yay jojo is it the take at night one that you have?

I've just eaten and feeling a little bit sick, but it's liveable. Which is a huge improvement. I hope yours starts working quickly jojo
