Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Morning all. I couldn't bear the suspense any longer and I'm currently at the local EPAC waiting for an early scan. Am absolutely terrified and on my own too, DP felt he couldn't take time off work :-( Lovely nurse has just had a chat with me. Please please please let there be a baby in there....!
Keep it all crossed for me please ladies x

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 09:33

Fx merry, let us know how it goes!

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 09:58

merry how far gone are you? FX for you x

Lorelei353 · 18/10/2012 10:17

Exciting Merry. Let us know how it goes.

Felt rough this morning. So queasy on train to work. Bleurgh. Now that I'm in work, drinking hot lemon and ginger I have a total craving for some hash browns (thanks to the Guardian homepage having a recipe for them). I don't want quality ones though - I want those kind of orange triangles you get in cafes or the Ikea restaurant. Lots of salt and carbs.

merrygiant · 18/10/2012 10:53

So its good news for me!! Actually saw a flickering heartbeat - amazing!
I thought I was 7+5 today but the scan measured me as 6 weeks which is quite disappointing, but it does kind of fit with my weirdly long cycles and stuff.
So relieved, feel like I can actually relax a bit now and start to enjoy it all a bit more. Of course I'll still be worried inside that something might go wrong but I know the stats are so much better once you've seen a HB.

I'm now really craving hash browns too, thanks Lor Marmite on toast will have to suffice.
Thanks for the support x

Lorelei353 · 18/10/2012 10:58

Merry That's brilliant. Congratulations. You must be so excited. I'm measuring myself as 6+4 at the moment but suspect I'm actually a little less than that too. My previous cycles had been really short but I'd ov'd much later the month I conceived so I think it would have been a longer one. It was only my third full cycle since coming off the pill so hadn't really settled down yet.

I'm so jealous of you seeing a little heartbeat. I've my first GP appt. on 1st Nov (at 8 1/2 weeks) but will wait until my 12-13 weeks scan to see anything.

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 11:03

merry I'm pleased to hear your good news :-)

OK I have a decision to make. I either draw out £100 at the bank at lunchtime, put it in an envelope and at 12 weeks spend it on any baby item I want or I book in for a private scan for Tuesday when I will be exactly 10 weeks. It's a tough call as I want both Grin

merrygiant · 18/10/2012 11:09

Pear are you sure there's no local early pregnancy unit you could self-refer to like I have this morning? Most areas have this, for women with either pain or bleeding in pregnancy up to 14 weeks. You shouldn't have to go via you GP. If the most local area is no good then try going a bit further afield maybe?

I didn't actually have any pain today, but they don't know that. Dishonest I know, but I hardly ever tax the NHS for anything else!!

If there is no other option then I would say only you can decide whether to spend that £100 now. Have you got your appt yet for your dating scan, cos it might end up being when you are 10 or 11 weeks anyway?!

IBelieveInPonk · 18/10/2012 11:33

Morning all. Good to read some lovely news this morning but I'm afraid I don't have any. Scan has confirmed the expected. Don't want to scare anyone so I won't go into detail, but just wanted to say bye :) will keep an eye on how you guys doing. Fingers crossed for all of you for happy and healthy pregnancies. X

merrygiant · 18/10/2012 11:44

Oh dear ponk I am SO sorry to hear that. Poor you, you must feel really dreadful. There's not an awful lot I can say to help, but I really hope the healing is swift and you can get back on this bus again as soon as you feel ready. ((hugs))

Lorelei353 · 18/10/2012 11:47

ponk really sorry to hear that (and thanks for not scaring us with details). Hope you're not feeling to low, and you're back up and on another bus real soon. x

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 12:29

Thanks for ponk

Jojoba1986 · 18/10/2012 13:15

Ponk You will be missed! Sad (((((hugs)))))

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 13:44

So Sorry Ponk

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 14:15

merry my 12 week scan is on 7th Nov. I think we will try and book something for Tuesday when I will be 10 weeks.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 18/10/2012 14:48

((Hugs)) for you ponk

thund you'll be pleased to know I had a doctor that took my nausea seriously and have anti-sickness meds. Smile

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 18/10/2012 15:02

Ouch. I just opened the car door and smacked myself in the face with it. Blush just above my eyebrow it's brusing already. [oh the shame emoticon] feel free to laugh at me.

Jojoba1986 · 18/10/2012 15:41

Oh dear frus! Clumsiness does tend to appear in pregnancy! Try not to damage yourself too much! Wink
Glad you've got meds now! Hopefully they'll get to work really quickly!

I'm feeling really quite faint & wobbly from not eating as much as I should! Sad It's turning me into the worst mum - it just takes so much more effort to do basic things like nappy changes & finding food! 5+1 till it all gets better! It will. Angry

bringonthetrumpets · 18/10/2012 16:23

I'm so sorry Believe Sending hugs to you across the pond!

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 16:34

Excellent news frus, hope they help. Bad luck with the car door though.

Make sure you're looking after yourself jojo

What did you decide, pear?

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 18/10/2012 16:54

jojo i think the car door was less to do with being pg ad more to do with being a twat clumsy person anyway.
You need to be eating jojo agree with bad parent syndrome, I seem to have that too.

thund I'll let you know tomorrow if they work.

Thundernonk · 18/10/2012 17:43

Good good.

I had my mw appointment today.

I want a doughnut.

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 20:20

How did it go Thunder?

I managed not to book a private scan today. Only because they were not answering the phone :-) Now if that carries on until Tuesday I'll be fine Grin

peardrop2 · 18/10/2012 20:41

Omg!!!!! We just found baby pears hb after 5 minutes using the Doppler tonight. Absolutely amazing feeling. Finally I'll have a good night sleep tonight Grin

9+2

Jojoba1986 · 18/10/2012 21:20

Eek! That's amazing pear! So Envy! When can you normally hear the heartbeat? Would 7 weeks be too early? We have a stethoscope for later on but it's waaaay too early for that!
