Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Ooh, I just want a big mug of tea. I'm finding it so hard without it.

I'm still having a cup in the morning and then drinking decaf tea. I had lots of herbal teas I drank in work but am not sure what's definitely safe now.

Anyone got any nice hot drink suggestions?

Thundernonk · 12/10/2012 15:41

Are herbal teas unsafe? here I go again with my ignorance

I've been drinking lemon and ginger tea or vanilla rooibos which is nice. Also, decaff millicano in half hot milk, half hot water which is nice. Probably unknowingly breaking someone somewhere's rules though!

Lorelei353 · 12/10/2012 15:42

Some of the ones I drank were a mix of lots of herbs (those Yoga teas and Pukka teas) and I think some of the herbs aren't recommended.

Lemon and ginger sounds good actually. As does vanilla rooibos

Jojoba1986 · 12/10/2012 16:22

I've got no idea about herbal teas! Fruity tea is fine if you happen to like such vile things! I drink decaf tea anyway because I used to drink nothing but coke & now get a headache if I have more than one cup of normal tea a day! Lightweight! Also, normal tea apparently stops you absorbing iron from food as well so it's a good idea to switch to decaf after meals!

I'm reaching the point already where 'mmm tea' becomes 'urgh, slightly flavoured milky water'! I didn't go off tea until nearly 20 weeks last time & I'm only 6 today! Hmph! Must be twins! I'll be switching to copious amounts of hot chocolate! Probably my body's way of replacing the calories I'm not getting because of the nausea! Sad

IBelieveInPonk · 12/10/2012 17:02

Ahhh is that why I have gone off tea! I was most confused that I have cut down from about 6 cups a day to one! Makes so much sense now!

Yummy hot drinks, - warm apple juice. Yum. With a little cinnamon if you can be bothered :)

Thundernonk · 12/10/2012 17:14

BUGGER. Thought the kitten wouldve done the trick.

ella0 · 12/10/2012 17:34

I've been allowing myself one cup of redbush tea a day as I can't find a definitive answer as to whether it's safe to drink or not.

I always start the day with hot water and a slice of lemon.

Apart from that, I've been sticking to plain old tap water!

Thundernonk · 12/10/2012 17:45

Sorry, hi hayzy! Welcome and congratulations!

I'm still having my morning cup of coffee. Lots of water later in the day though as the raging thirst hits!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 12/10/2012 18:22

Hi hayzy

Grin Thanks thund

Anyone else feel travel sick?

Thundernonk · 12/10/2012 18:55

No travel sick for me, nope...

merrygiant · 12/10/2012 19:36

Evening all,
I'm working nights atm and got home this morning and had a full-on wretching/vom thing happen. I was so pleased!! At last some kinda symptom. Also last night and recently I have been really gassy, poor OH doesn't know what to say. Still no boob tenderness but I can live with that. As I had my head over the sink I thought to myself: and now it begins, you must be mad to have wished for this!
Got to share what I've just been and done: my mate and I went to a talk by Caitlin Moran in Bath! And she signed our books and we got a photo of us and her. I know she's not everyone's Brew but I think I actually want to be her, swoon!

merrygiant · 12/10/2012 19:40

As far as I know, its green tea that you have to be careful about. All other herbals/fruity/rooibos/decaf is fine. You can drink caffeinated tea, no more than 2 cups per day or one of strong coffee.
Hugs to those who have had inconclusive scans - I know exactly how that feels after my mmc in June, the agony of waiting is horrid. Spotting/pinky d/c however is VERY common and certainly doesn't mean the worst, doesn't stop you worrying tho, I know x

Cereja · 12/10/2012 20:04

hey, so i'm due in early june. Like the surreal tone of the conversation: the whole thing is a bit bonkers, right?

PS Thundercatsarego:I'm with you on eeeeek: is the most eloquent i've been able to be

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 12/10/2012 21:06

Hello cereja welcome aboard.

'Scuse me ladies needed to install loo on bus, good idea don't ya think? what is it with ms at 9pm?

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 12/10/2012 21:17

I'm not sure I can handle feeling like this for the next 5-6weeks. I'm so knackered and feel so rough. I'm hoping its just the tail end of the cold I've got. I honestly don't remember being so tired and hormonal last time. sick yes, but teary and exhausted no. someone tell me to man up

Jojoba1986 · 12/10/2012 21:34

Aww Frus! I know the feeling! I'm constantly nauseated so I'm not eating properly so my blood sugar is dipping so I'm feeling tired... & one minute I'm feeling really emotionally strong & surprising my DH with how reasonable I am & the next I'm snapping & at him & nearly bursting into tears! Oh & I'm getting palpitations too which is probably a result of not eating/drinking properly! I also wasn't this bad last time! Roll on 12 weeks! Half way there!

How old is she? She looks like a Labrador - they're super cuddly puppies if you can keep them still!

IBelieveInPonk · 12/10/2012 22:09

Evening all!
I have spent the whole evening cake baking. Wow if I was tired before I don't know what I am now. Just had a proper dizzy turn and had to have a little sit down. Beddy byes for me soon I think!

Jojoba1986 · 12/10/2012 23:32

Urgh! No cake thanks but I'll hold Fernando while you offer it round! Smile
I should've spent all day baking... I got as far as taking the butter out of the fridge! Sad Really hoping this will all pass soon & I can get back to reality! I'm supposed to be going to stay with my parents for a few days next week & have no idea how I'm going to keep it a secret! Hmm

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 13/10/2012 07:17

Are they chocolate drop on your cake ponk? Wink

I think it's my blood sugar and nausea etc, but a tiny part of me is wondering whether there is some other reason, like a bug or something. I'm struggling to function. I seem to be making constant trips to the kitchen to see if there's any food I fancy eating, then I feel sick so have to sit down, and never quite manage to eat.

And I think I'd be happy if I didn't have wind and a bloated stomach and cramps from it all the time.

Thundernonk · 13/10/2012 09:35

Morning all, I just woke up. Long sleep! And weird dreams in which I was very angry at OH. Still feel pissed off now!

Welcome cereja, yep surreal it is indeed! Our chat on here probably isn't going to make you feel any more normal either at times.

frus, this sounds so miserable for you and you sound like its really getting you down. Why don't you go to docs or someone like you say, just to double check?

I have been having thoughts for a bus refurb....

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 13/10/2012 15:37

thund have you forgiven DH yet?

Bus refurb thund can we have comfy seats, toilets, petting zoo for the little animals, dovets, and sick buckets please. In calming colours with gentle music playing?

I think the remains of my cold is making my ms worse snot makes stomach feels bleugh without ms and both together feels bleugh.

Also must remember to stop eating before I feel sick. Note to self binge eating and ms don't mix.

On a wierd note DH was talking about buggys last night. Confused

Thundernonk · 13/10/2012 16:12

frus, yes I forgave him as soon as he came in, holding coffee in bed for me. yes the kind with caffeine in

Ok here are my thoughts for the bus refurb:

  • seats replaced by comfy sofas and squishy armchairs
  • plenty of duvets and a cupboard full of clean fresh-smelling linen for changing after too much animal hair
  • everyone gets their own personalised funky little bathroom pod with pull-out bath, complete with candles and bubbles
  • canteen section with gorgeous helpful chef who will prepare food we request on a whim and cant see into the lounging bit of the bus
  • large screen tv's with full film libraries, and yeah relaxing music

Hmmmm anything else?

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 13/10/2012 16:39

Lots of huge squishy cushions?

Thundernonk · 13/10/2012 16:48

Of course! And some of those lovely massive bean bag thingies...
