Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Does anyone know... Can I munch on fishermans friend?

Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 00:30

Not a clue, sorry frus! I'm also coming down with a cold! My nose has been tickly all day! Had a mostly enjoyable day, although I did get a bit weepy at one point for no apparent reason! My feet are no longer feet but just consist of a series of blisters with blisters! I took my shoes off when I got to the reception so had black feet when I got home! Good fun dancing though & DS coped amazingly well all day! Absolutely shattered now & can barely keep my eyezzzzzzzzzz.... Wink
Night all! Smile

I got a cold first tri last time and getting a cough now Sad I think our bodies are doing so much making a new baby that it just shoots your immune system to pieces!!
I'm not sure you can have fishermans friends frus, I know strepcils are out of bounds to buy you can defiantly have halls soothers, basically you can have the ones that are like sweets but not the ones with actual stuff in them

FrustratedSycamorePants · 07/10/2012 09:36

Mording kiddy I'm a bid bunged dup. Grin other symptoms seems to have buggered off in the wake of this cold. unless you count thinking my phone was a bee

OP posts:
Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 12:18

I'm bunged up too! All other symptoms have disappeared as well to make way for yuckiness! Sad Lots of cups of decaf tea & much moping today methinks!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 07/10/2012 12:21

Abderboon jojo am hoping ms doesn't kick in tomorrow at the 6wk mark, as that really would be shit.

OP posts:
Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 15:55

Lol, that's just what you need - vomit & snot! Grin My boobs have started hurting now! Just occasionally when I poke them accidentally bump them or DS decides I'm a human drum kit! Hmm

FrustratedSycamorePants · 07/10/2012 16:53

Isnt it amazing how often you bump your boobs during the course of a normal day.

Thundercatsarego · 07/10/2012 20:34

Evening all. How are you doing snotbags? Hope feeling better x x

FrustratedSycamorePants · 07/10/2012 21:03

Hey thund how has your weekend been?

I'm still a snotbags, but feeling a bit better after my bath. Although I did feel a bit queezy in bath, it wasn't hot but have a dreadful feeling ms is just around the corner. Also need to buy a new bra, and mine are decidedly tight.

Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 21:12

Urgh. I feel yucky! Anyone know if olbas oil or Vicks etc are ok to use? My nose is really blocked on one side but fine on the other, my sinus hurts, my head hurts, my feet are cold, I haven't felt like eating all day, DS seems to be deliberately annoying loud/busy/inappropriately inquisitive... & DH seems more concerned with unpacking the suitcase than looking after DS so I can rest before I have to look after him all day tomorrow! Hmph. Grumpy.

Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 21:29

Oh, & my toes hurt where they're raw from the 3 hours I was wearing strappy shoes! My socks keep rubbing against the sore bits! Hmph. Sad

Thundercatsarego · 07/10/2012 21:35

Hey frus, good to hear you're on the mend. Weekend was ok thanks, spent most of it in an exhausted heap although got into the doldrums a bit yesterday. I've been a bit torn about bras. Don't have the money to keep buying them so want to maximise on value for money of at all possible. Not sure when the best time will be though!

Oh dear jojo, they're conspiring against you when youre not on form! Don't know about olbas oil I'm afraid- worth looking it up online? When I was total snotbags I had to prop myself up on pillows at night and alternate the sides I slept on in order to sporadically unblock. Not fun. Hope tomorrow brings your recovery x

A nice warm saltwater foot bath is what you need jojo

thund I just need a larger cup size. As I have those bra extenders. extra strap with hooks to up the size these

I think once they've settled in a week or so, they won't get much bigger again until the last couple of weeks of pg.
nursing bras save having one for the first bit are best left until after your milk has come in at about 3 days after birth. i made the mistake 1st time of getting fitted at 38wks. Then they went "whom!" when my milk came in, and I had to get new ones.

Thundercatsarego · 07/10/2012 22:05

Good advice frus. Did you/ will you get a maternity bra (if I understand correctly they're not wired and are super comfy) or just go for a normal shop one in a larger cup size?

Thundercatsarego · 07/10/2012 22:06

(ps great breast sound effect- I can imagine boobs going whom!)

Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 22:15

Wow, they sell bra extenders? I cut the hooks & loops off a really old bra that would blatantly never fit me ever again & sewed them together! Worked a treat & totally free! Grin

Off to have a steam appropriate temperature bath to help relieve my sinus a bit! Pondering whether to go straight to bed after or watch Friday's 'enders with a hot chocolate! Not entirely sure I want to watch it from a thread I read elsewhere on MN but I also can't not watch it! Hmm... Hmm

Jojoba1986 · 07/10/2012 22:20

I bought maternity bras, swapped them for nursing bras when DS arrived & swapped back again after I stopped BF! They're ridiculously comfy! But mine look a little granny-ish! I can't imagine why I'd ever buy anything but mat bras now! Might look a little odd when I'm still buying them at 90! Grin

FrustratedSycamorePants · 07/10/2012 22:20

Personally I don't like the lack of wiring or padding. But it is personal choice. 1st time I did it all correctly and got maternity bras, but I did find that some non-maternity bras are more supportive and comfy don't like my pg droopy boobs sitting on bump
2nd time i had underwired and padded, but went up a chest size (the number not the letter) as this give extra width on the underwiring so it doesn't dig in. But some women find it too restrictive. And you will be advised that it can restrict the milk production/ducts I bf until they self weaned and didnt have supply problems because I wore u/w bras but I think it's like everything else, everyone will tell you something different.

And I love the nursing bras that the middle of the cup unclips rather than the whole cup.

But it's all personal choice, and whatever feels best for you.

FrustratedSycamorePants · 07/10/2012 22:21

jojo I got my extenders from the market not m&s as my link suggests

Hi all.
Just wanted to pop on board and join if I may seeing as you were all mostly Sept thread folk. I have a valid ticket!

Those I spoke to then may remember I kind of ran out of time in Sept as my cycle was longer than I had expected (first two off pill were only 25 days). I've been in Spain for the last week and had spotting the day before I left (Sept 29th) so thought AF was on her way, but no. Nothing. A whole week in Spain and still nothing. Stopped drinking after the first day because I was definitely late.

So arrived back in London yesterday, swung by Boots for CB Digi and yep - 2-3 weeks! Grin

Thundercatsarego · 08/10/2012 09:52

lorelei absolutely fantastic news, congratulations! And welcome! and Respect for stopping drinking whilst in Spain!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 08/10/2012 10:02

Hi lorelei Wink welcome aboard. So pleased for you. Grin how did you manage not to drink in Spain? [impressed emoticon]
