Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Aww Frus I'm secretly pleased you had a cooler bath ;-)

Oooow constipation is back with revenge just when I thought I was on top if it :-( Boobs are mega painful but I'm mega pleased about that because its the only thing that makes me feel pregnant! I wonder if anyone else pokes boobs during the day to check they still hurt? Blush

Jojoba1986 · 04/10/2012 21:14

Heehee! Sooo attractive! Grin

IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 21:16

I am most definitely already gaining weight, I just keep eating! I think i'll also be needing one of those moo moos!
Maybe it can be the naughty moo moo bus - with our skinny friend kitty!

IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 21:18

And yes, I poke boobs approximately every 13 minutes seconds just to check they still hurt. Yay :)

peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 21:21

Hah hah Pink you're my boob checker friend!!

Has anyone seen this offer on the pregnancy support? I'm so tempted but don't know if its a good buy!! What do you think? www.bounty.com/bountyoffers/precious_little_one/Nursing%20Products/128732/flash-sale-051012-carla

Jojoba1986 · 04/10/2012 21:22

Lol, pear, if you poke them enough they'll hurt anyway! Re: constipation, have you adjusted your diet? Prunes are good & I heard today that they contain iron - bonus! I prescribe lots of fruit in any form & bran flakes for brekkie! Grin Yummy!

(Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor & by 'any form' I do not mean those ghastly strawberry gummy sweets!) Wink

FrustratedSycamorePants · 04/10/2012 21:27

I don't poke mine at all except when they stop hurting

I didn't feel the need for a specific pregnancy pillow last time but I know some people swear by them! I prefer the flexibility of several normal pillows. By the time DS was ready to arrive I was using 2 under my head, one under my bump, one between my legs, one to cuddle & one behind me to stop me rolling backwards! I was very snuggly!

peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 21:38

JoJo I'm a bit bores of prunes. They're so sickly :-/ I have to admit that I may have overdone it on the almonds today Blush I ate a few --nearly half the bag] Didn't realise they had so much Fibre...ooops!!

Like the wedge. (Tempted by a wedge this time) pillow might not be long enough as a pillow for sleeping, but useful for feeding once baby is born. --I had a bump cushion and knees cushion and a back cushion. One of these looks good, or this

You could try calcium/magnesium supplements, pear for constipation. A ratio of 1:1 is best, but 1:2 is good too (if you can find it in liquid form, even better!). You can start by taking around 1 Tbsp at bedtime. There isn't really a correct dosage because it's always very individual and you can adjust, but you'll know you're getting too much when you have soft stools.

peardrop2 · 05/10/2012 06:06

Frus wow that first pillow you linked to looks huge and so comfy!! It would not fit in our double bed that's for sure. I do like the look of these long sausages though! I wish I could ask friends what they do! Maybe I should just wait another month to ask them. I just thought that if I need a wedge and half a donut looking thing this is a good saving!

peardrop2 · 05/10/2012 06:08

Bringon I think I just need to stay away from almonds :-) I was doing well until I started munching on them this week!! At least I know what to put in my food diary for the midwife next week! BTW before anyone starts panicking its not normal to keep a food diary! It's just because I was diagnosed with chronic constipation from the start so they told me to keep a food diary.

fashionvictim · 05/10/2012 13:07

Hi lovely ladies! I've not been around for a while and nearly lost you all - phew!

Glad to hear I'm not the only boob poker!! I've also got nasty old nausea to add to the list now Sad If I don't eat every couple of hours I almost keel over! Am feeling pretty crap it's got to be said...and wont be long before I start packing on the lb's.

Although on the plus side, the thought of Wine makes we want to puke, so, every cloud and all that!

Anyone have any nice plans this weekend? Smile

Jojoba1986 · 05/10/2012 17:32

Hi fash!

I have lovely plans - my brother's getting married tomorrow! I bought a beautiful expensive dress on sale for £36 a few months ago that's now a little snug on my hips & tummy! Have come to the conclusion that I'll have to wear giant ridiculously tight control pants to hide it so will take at least 20 mins to go for a wee... which I seem to need to do every 30 mins at the moment...! Grin

You can all expect a lot of whining from me tomorrow! Wink

In other news, I just arranged my booking appt for the 29th! Exciting! Unfortunately it was the midwife who told me DS 'might not come out alive' who rang & I kinda went numb & my chest is still a bit tight now! Shudder! Don't know why she was the one to ring though, she's not one of my local mws! Weird!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 05/10/2012 17:38

Hey jojo I got my appointment through today too. and promptly phoned up to re-arrange it so mine will now be the 30th or the 23rd.

Hello all, I've just noticed this thread.

I've been having lukewarm baths (I'm also a first timer!) as I'd also read that hot baths are no good for you. It's horrible, especially as the weather is cold now :( .

Thundercatsarego · 05/10/2012 19:25

Hi ella, lukewarm baths are bloody horrible I reckon!

jojo the wedding and your dress sound great. Good luck with the pants! Will you have to conceal non drinking?

kittykatskumkwat · 05/10/2012 19:44

Jojo that sounds like a fab weekend! Control pants are a great investment during the first 12wks!!
Ella you don't have to have your baths too cool, they basically just say aslong as you can get straight in and your not ew Ewing or going bright red and feeling to hot!
I had hot baths all the way through my last pregnancy as did fash, more because we didn't know ( and I thought it was just because of blood pressure) but still there's no evidence I've read anywhere of it actually causing harm, my mum said shed never heard that when they all had babies and were all fine so maybe turn it up a hitch, aslong as you feel comfy in it should be fine

FrustratedSycamorePants · 05/10/2012 19:45

Been checking up your bath thing, and read that if you can comfortable get in, then it isn't too hot. But if you have to ease in due to the heat it's too hot burn your fanny hot as I like to call it
So can now say that my hot baths aren't "hot" not that they're lukewarm Either

OP posts:
kittykatskumkwat · 05/10/2012 20:07

Ha ha that's the same as me fash I wouldn't say they are burn your skin hot I can get in fine but likewise they are not Luke warm and never will be yuck

kittykatskumkwat · 05/10/2012 20:07

Fash?! Frus sorry Blush

Thundercatsarego · 05/10/2012 20:17

Hey fash! Sorry, I missed you there!
