Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Wow, you ladies have been chatty today! Had to read a load before chiming in.

So odd, I was craving a Mc'D's cheeseburger last night too! Don't think I could ever actually eat one (I'm a veggie) so it was so odd that I contemplated on it. I have also been craving anything with tomatoes, we're talking anything with tomatoes in it. What a weird craving....Hmm. At least they have Vitamin C....

Can't figure out why I feel SO paranoid about losing this pregnancy. I hope it's just a small phase and not an actual intuition.

kittykatskumkwat · 04/10/2012 09:00

Bringon- I keep feeling I've damaged the baby and it's going handicapped etc because I've had hot baths and I forgot about it when I had my hair dyed last week and I had an all over colour not just highlights!! It's really horrible, I keep thinking what of I've done perminant damage Sad
My strange dreams continued last night, I was in a group with 5 people and we were trying to protect a code that at one point was disguised as a toothbrush! There were another group trying to get it off us but they always knew where we were and could transform into other people to trick us!

peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 11:29

Aww why do we feel this way?!? I thought it was meant to be exciting and not terrifying :-( I was up at 3am worrying that I don't have symptoms...during the day I'm ok about it and then at night I freak out and I can't sleep for thinking about it. It's so silly because I know two good friends who didn't have symptoms and they have obviously had healthy babies!

kitty what? Is hair dye and highlights bad? I thought it was ok?

IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 11:41

Oh my goodness I had the exact same worries this week..... Maybe it is actually a symptom! However as if to prove me wrong, I am now feeling sick (yaaaay) but I'm sure I have brought that on myself by wishing for it.

I also (hangs head in shame) cried at a McDonald's advert this morning.... The coffee one where the guy tells his sister she is going to be an auntie... Yep, I was bawling. I may not have all the symptoms but I definitely have the hormonal bit!

kitty About dying hair, don't worry to much. I have heard mixed things, but I think it is the same as using lota of cleaning products, you just need to be in well ventilated area. They haven't proved it does any damage anyway, it is just precautionary like everything else. Im sure hairdressers inhale a lot more with no bad results, don't worry to much

kittykatskumkwat · 04/10/2012 12:32

Thanks pink, it was more the absorbing it through my scalp that bothers me, the room was well ventilated, I was the only customer no nails etc just a hairdressers but I'd have had highlights if I'd thought about it as I'd had them last time I was pg, I asked hairdresser last time and she said its fine and as the dye doesnt even touch your head but forgot this time as not told her yet, I think I'm being over anxious but it's just reading that most people avoid it in their first trimester etc makes you feel you should have,
Pear- there's no evidence it causes harm but highlight are better then the all over dye and some leave it till after the first tri ( not me obviously Sad) I think I'm set to break every pregnancy rule there is
I have started to feel abit sicky the last 2 days ( I'm the opposite to you guys as I've never wanted it, I know from last time you can have a healthy bub with no symptoms, I may have been more worried if I had it first time and not this but now I'm worried I'll feel poorly when I'm on Holliday next week and I really want to enjoy it Sad not be feeling ill)
I think anxiety is 100% a symptom I'm normally very rational

IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 12:53

Just another thing because I can't moan to anyone else about this one! The girl next to me at work is constantly blowing her nose! While this normally wouldn't bother me (much) I now feel like I am going to hurl every time she does it! Grrrr!
Sorry. As I said, hormones!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 04/10/2012 13:06

ponk the nose blowing thing would annoy and make me want to vom at the best of times.

IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 13:18

I am trying to hold on to dye my hair (nice n easy, definitely scalp application) but it really does depend how horrific my roots start looking!

kittykatskumkwat · 04/10/2012 13:29

Well pink, you will fit right in here with the rebels < makes room on the bench for pink with frustrated>
Non of the sites actually say not to do it or that is proven to do any harm I think it's just my " what else have I actually managed to do wrong pregnancy worries"

FrustratedSycamorePants · 04/10/2012 13:29

Lalalah I can't hear you I have highlights and scalp/whole head. I shall have them redone when they need redoing. Which isn't until then end of 12wks. (how's that for timing. Grin )
I didn't dye my hair thoughout the whole of dc2 pg. looked and felt like shut at the end of the 40 weeks, then couldn't relax at hair dressers after birth. So definately not going through that again. I damn well will look blooming this time!

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamorePants · 04/10/2012 13:33

kitty I've never read anything before (before the last week that is) that says it can damage the baby, just that the pg hormones might make the end colour look different to what it's supposed to.

OP posts:
kittykatskumkwat · 04/10/2012 13:46

Frus it doesn't actually say it will, there's nothing scientific showing it will do any harm, it just says some women prefer to wait till after the first trimester where baby does the most devopment
( I read this after my appointment, didn't even cross my mind sat there but I'd have to have had something done, my hair looked like shit but would have opted for highlights at this point)

IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 14:11

Guess what I had the other day. 2 whole diet cokes! 2!! In one day!!! Think of all the caffiene!!
And I am really craving a steak. And not a dry chewy one either!

peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 15:55

Oh no does this mean I need to rebook my highlights which would be 10 weeks...this is exhausting! I've had to say no to random invites for wine tasting, a bumpy kids train ride, golf, clubbing and drinking night this month :-( Roll on scan date is all I can say!! Total Sod's law that I'm getting all these stupidly random invites this month!!

peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 16:03

Btw you know my obsession with cheese from yesterday, well my book says Parmesan is fine...turns out my Parmesan is made out of unpasterised cheese!!! I give up :-)

FrustratedSycamorePants · 04/10/2012 16:18

pear I think highlights are fine, it's the whole head/scalp type dye that is meant to be bad.
As for your unpasteurised parmesan - that is why we're on the rebel bench. Grin come join us, you know you want to.

OP posts:
IBelieveInPink · 04/10/2012 16:23

I think I read that un pasteurised hard cheese is okay, because it is hard it is unlikely to store bacteria? I think?

peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 16:29

Pink sounds like a suitable theory!

Wink
peardrop2 · 04/10/2012 16:30

Frus hmmmm can I trust you? Grin you think hot baths are ok!! Wink

FrustratedSycamorePants · 04/10/2012 16:39

Well I ain't burning me fanny so they can't be that hot. Wink i don do saunas, hottubs, or those bubbly things and its my leaflet from the midwife self booking in pack that says highlights are ok. Which actually left me puzzled so that one is up to you Grin
