Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

Me three Sad

peardrop2 · 01/10/2012 16:10

I shouldn't complain as this is my only symptom, if it wasn't for the tiredness I really wouldn't feel pregnant at all.

6+6 today

IBelieveInPink · 01/10/2012 16:14

Haha, I also had afternoon naps both days on the weekend. Looking forward to my relaxing yoga class tonight so I can have a rest.

Still no sign of ms for me. Although at 5 + 5 is it still a little early for ms? Or have I escaped?? :)

Thundercatsarego · 01/10/2012 16:22

I'd love a nap now. I'm 5+5 too and not feeling great tbh.

bringonthetrumpets · 01/10/2012 16:25

Hey ladies! Officially 4 wks today. Lol, it's still SO early! Taking ages already and it's only been 3 days since I found out.

They recommend not to take hot baths due to the increase in core body temperature. I would say that take a bath as warm as you would like, but if you're feeling lightheaded, or overly too hot, then it's time to get out.

I think the cheese thing from the NHS website is partially true... I'm always telling clients to just be mindful of things they haven't eaten before. If you've been eating Stilton your whole adult life, you've never gotten food poisoning from it, I would assume it's fine to continue eating it. Especially if you get it from the same source as you've always been getting it.

Just follow your own instincts.

peardrop2 · 01/10/2012 17:26

IBelieve I'm not sure about the ms! I'm a week ahead of you and I haven't had a whiff yet. I think maybe its too early...I'm expecting it to hit any day now!

6+6

fashionvictim · 01/10/2012 18:56

Hi ladies!
I'm 5+5 too and the tiredness is killing me Sad it's the same time everyday - between 1-3 pm I'm dead on my feet. I'm also waking up at 6am without fail every day, which was just great at the weekend... Other than that, sore bbs & back, I'm doing okay so far.

kittykatskumkwat · 01/10/2012 19:10

Thanks bringon the trumpets, it's puts your mind at rest comming from a midwife, I feared I'd allready cooked up the little bean like a lobster although I had a hot ish bath everyday with dd too, its my only me time!
No ms here either, I think if you don't get it straight away you probably won't get it bad?! something I've made up but i havnt had any this time, my mum thinks this is a good sign for me, pregnancy very similar so far to that with dd
Pear will you have any more scans?
I can't wait to see if everything is ok and there is infact something in there

kittykatskumkwat · 01/10/2012 19:13

Oh and I think I'm 5+5 too he he poss a day less?! It's really dragging!

Jojoba1986 · 01/10/2012 19:30

Tiredness over here too... But given that I'm a SAHM & my DS likes his afternoon nap, I get a nice long snooze most days! Oddly enough, that's less likely to happen when DH is around to make me feel guilty!

No MS now & the cramps seem to have mostly cleared up but now I'm getting pelvic pain when I try to push things on the floor with my foot! Didn't get that till about 20 weeks last time! Sad
On a happier note, I took my booking-in booking form to the mw today so just waiting for them to call me with a date! Exciting times! Smile

FrustratedSycamorePants · 01/10/2012 20:12

jojo don't be fooled into thinking that pushing things along the ground with your feet is better than lifting. It's really bad for your lower back.

5+0 today. Not as exhausted perminently as I have been. But I do get very sleepy at 2-3pm. I'd love a regular nap.

kitty next scan is the 12 week scan on 7th Nov. I was going to go private and get one at 8-10 weeks but I think I've had enough scans to last me till the next NHS one. Especially as I've just seen a very expensive buggy I like Grin

kittykatskumkwat · 01/10/2012 20:57

Ha ha very true and if the epu we're worried they would have wanted to see you again, they obviously think it all looks good Grin
What pram do you like? I have the iCandy peach and love it although Envy of the new colours ummmmmmm Parma violet

peardrop2 · 01/10/2012 21:01

I'm quite embarrassed to admit this as I've always tutted at my friends who spend this much on a buggy but I like the Bugaboo Cameleon³ Pram & Pushchair - Neon Exclusive in navy and red Blush

peardrop2 · 01/10/2012 21:02

I don't know iCandy...off I go to look Grin

peardrop2 · 01/10/2012 21:08

Oh yes the ICandy peach looks nice! Is it a similar price to the bugaboo?

kittykatskumkwat · 02/10/2012 07:08

Yes very similar although the bugaboo is a touch more expensive, my sis has the bugaboo chameleon but I think my iCandy is sooo much better, looks much more expensive too, you will just have to go out and try then and see what you think but a cheepy can be false economy as I know people who have bought one only to buy another a month down the line as they are so difficult to manoeuvre or lift etc I got the iCandy aswell as it converts into a twin without the width, hate pushchairs that are wide as its a struggle normally around some shops at the time bugaboo didn't do a twin and we knew we wanted babies close together, now if we want the twin seat and adapter its only £170

Jojoba1986 · 02/10/2012 09:40

I like my obaby zezu! Much cheaper than those fancy ones but it's really easy to manoeuvre, converts from a pram to a pushchair, feels nice & sturdy & can face either direction so I can interact with DS while we're walking!

If you're desperate for an expensive one you might want to consider signing up for bounty offers - they have flash sales & the reductions can sometimes be v impressive!

kittykatskumkwat · 02/10/2012 09:59

I think most of them concert from pram to pushchair and I know you can face either way in iCandy and bugaboo, second making sure you get a good deal though, we got ours at the baby show and negotiated another £100 off their special offer for paying there and then, think it worked out about £300 cheeper then what the standard store price is so haggle all the way!

kittykatskumkwat · 02/10/2012 10:02

The other option is finding the one you like then eBay, they hold a really good re sale price though If you want to sell it after, I know mine goes for £400

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 02/10/2012 10:25

Hello! Feel a bit of a fraud coming here as I haven't had a good strong line on a test yet, they're still quite faint and not really getting any stronger yet. But they say a line is a line, hopefully it'll get darker in a few days.

I'm 14dpo today, got faint line at 12 dpo, third baby. Mild achy af like cramps, occasional stabby pains in boobs, gagged on my toothbrush this morning (oh joy, I remember this) heartburn and leg cramps when I point my toes, which I always seem to get in pregnancy. I'm tired but not that earth shattering tiredness you get in early pg yet. No chance of naps round here with an active toddler, anyway!

peardrop2 · 02/10/2012 10:41

Thanks for the pushchair tips! I did wonder if we could get a good deal at the excel baby show in Feb.

Just been invited to my friends baby shower 3 days before 12 week scan....Ahhh that's going to be torture not saying anything! At least I can smile at this one and not be Envy

peardrop2 · 02/10/2012 10:58

Hi James, congratulations! I didn't get a strong line either so I wouldn't worry about it x

Thundercatsarego · 02/10/2012 11:00

Welcome giantbanana and congrats on the bfps!!

Absolutely nowhere near thinking about pushchairs myself!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 02/10/2012 11:34

Hi james good to see you and your phalic name here Grin
You'll get darker. Just wait 3 days. if you can

Envy at buggy talk. I need to wait to see if dd2 is walking. Currently only have 3 sturdy double buggy options. and only 1 is parent facing on both seats a high priority for me
