BJCM is a very good choice, I loved ours. We sold it earlier this year for only a little less than we paid 2.5 years ago which made it slightly less painful to let go of.

Very weird dream alert: I was on a ship that was taking on water, a submarine or similar. I had to get off the ship to give birth at 31 weeks (what I am now) and they did a sort of caesarian/waterbirth hybrid delivery, I got to cut the babies (yes there were two Shock) out of the amniotic sacs Confused. I then went back to the sinking ship and showed everyone the pictures. The babies weights were 90g and 70g ConfusedConfused and I was waiting a day so that they put on enough weight to take home, the little darlings put on more than a kilo in a day and I got back off the boat and took them home ConfusedConfusedConfused

Then I got woken up by a 2.5 stone toddler jumping on my head and tea/toast waiting for me on the bedside table Smile

AppleCrumples · 31/10/2012 14:26

Well just back from mw she didn't seem very concerned by my asda incident. Said the same thing used to happen to her mum when expecting no 4 and having to cope in school hols! Measuring spot on for weeks and everything else seems fine :)

Your stories about travelling in London made me glad I don't have to commute anywhere. When I do need to get bus there pretty quiet so i can always sit. Mostly stick to the car though as am lazy except school run as it is a 5 min walk (am in Coventry)

Tugstonia · 31/10/2012 17:20

Pascha your dream made me giggle!! I had one the other night where I gave birth to a boy and then suddenly he was 2 and I realised I hadn't fed him and had no idea where he'd been or who had been feeding him. So I starting trying to breas feed him because I'd not yet done it, but he was too big to breastfeed Confused.

Great about your mw appt Apple.

Back from consultant. Am a bit anaemic apparently so need to up my iron-rich food intake. Guess there can't be much iron in crisps and Krispy Kremes then Blush. I don't particularly want to take iron tablets because of the constipation effect so will go nuts on the watercress and steak instead. I mentioned the change in movements so she sent me off for a trace and of course the bun started kicking like a crazy person and moving all over the place. Guess it was just being a lazy little bugger the other day. What was great was that they said if I have any concern about movements again to just go straight in for a trace and that I shouldn't ever feel like I'm being any trouble, so that was nice to hear :)

BuntyCollocks · 31/10/2012 17:57

Just had my midwife appt - baby is ceph rol - quite happy with that. My blood pressure is up, which I'm fairly sure is down to the stress at work. It's still good, 120/60, but it was consistently 100/60 up til now.

I hate work just now bump measuring 33 at 31+5, so about a week ahead. All in all, a positive appt :) and to see her every two weeks now - making them for 3:30 so I can finish earlier

Complicated24 · 31/10/2012 18:51

Do love coming home from work and catching up with everyone's news. It always makes me smile and laugh.

Godzookey your tube incident really made me laugh. Got caught up in Central line delays this morning so was on packed tube and a pregnant lady offered me her seat but no-one else did. I didn't take it off course but made a huge point of thanking her and glaring at everyone else!!!

Pascha loved your dream. My most surreal dream so far is that I was at a bbq with DH and his work colleagues. He's in military so a lot of them are highly trained medically and they decided that I was big enough and baby needed to come out so performed an emergency C-Section on me at the bbq with everyone watching, then decided baby was too small so pushed it back in and sealed me up with some special military sealant!!!

I seem to have grown a lot bigger overnight. The dress I wore very comfortably last week is now way above my knees and not decent for work anymore. It's not a maternity dress but is empire style so has been fine so far. I'm also finding it hard to judge size of my bump so kept on banging into my desk at work today!!!

Lora1982 · 31/10/2012 18:57

hahaaa bunty thats what ive started doing... its time to take advantage of rules being in our favour for a change Grin

twas payday today so ive ordered all the support things for my back new bras (again) and ive ordered some new mat jeans and nursing cami and to go with it all i ordered the Howell natal cd.. il feel absolutly stupid listening to this if other people can hear it so im going to copy it to my phone an use headphones :-D

AppleCrumples · 31/10/2012 19:20

Loving the wierd dreams! I had one last week that I had the baby and then texted everyone (Inc dp) that ivy had arrived. It was so real and such a relief it was all over that I nearly cried when I woke up and realised I've got ages to go and still don't know if it's ivy or not! Not wierd I know but I still feel slightly cheated that I still have 12 weeks left!

complicated really Shock that the only person to offer was also pregnant! I've been lucky to never have to commute but am seriously shocked at how rude people are!

bunty your lucky seeing mw so often my next appointment isn't till 34 weeks

pmgkt · 31/10/2012 20:54

i had mw too today, all fine got another in 3 weeks and then that will be it til 40 weeks when i would have a sweep. thats quite scary, or at least makes it seem close. i have sort of started my hospital bag, but its just sat on the side at the moment but im sure it could be chucked in a bag quickly if needed, I bought some big pants today, they are real old lady floral ones but guess that noone is going to see them, or at least noone that wont have alreay seen worse.

happyhow · 31/10/2012 22:00

I'm doing some depressing marking and the diluting juice just isn't cutting it....

I reckon I'm due for a strange dream soon - haven't one for ages. The last one I had though gave me a super baby! It was walking and talking within a week!!!

I feel like I have ballooned over the weekend. Seem to be very out in front over the last few days but I've had several colleagues and family members tell me how neat a bump I have and how good I'm looking at the moment so I'm going to take all the compliments that come my way!!

Got our flat rented out too. Had 4 viewings last night and had tenants by lunchtime today. That's one massive stress off our minds although we just have to hope our house is ready on time now...

djvesi · 01/11/2012 06:28

Can anyone recommend a site to buy bras and especially breastfeeding bras online in the UK? Things are getting desperate, and this underwire is really starting to cut into the top of my belly!

Also, do you really think preggy yoga can help move the little one around? Any tips hugely welcome.

BuntyCollocks · 01/11/2012 08:09

apples I am extremely lucky. My care has been excellent.

Argh. Been doing some research - apparently rol is just as bad as a posterior presentation. :( starting spinning babies tonight and looking into a chiropractor, as apparently this presentation is consistent with women who carry a toddler on one hip, which whacks the pelvis out of alignment, and makes baby favour that position.

Great news, happy!

Oh, and some of us could be having our babies NEXT MONTH!!

Just to really freak us all out Wink

Lora1982 · 01/11/2012 08:53

someone at work was really pushing for me to do th yogaapparently itl strenthen thigh mmuscles etc for getting th baby out i was interested when she was talking about this weird breathing technique but i cant find anyone near me so im sticking with this hypnosis cd

Brugmansia · 01/11/2012 09:44

Back to commuting, 2 people offered me seats on the bus today even though there were other seats empty which was nice.

Birdies · 01/11/2012 11:29

bunty yes I thought that, there's bound to be a few babies born next month!

What's rol? I carry my DD on one hip constantly as she's not walking yet. Hmm wonder how my little one is lying. Though I felt hiccups for the first time yesterday quite low down so maybe that's a good thing.

SquealyB · 01/11/2012 11:47

Great news on the flat happy.

That is true bunty lets hope any Decembe babies are healthy and as the result of a sneeze like labour.

I can't believe we are in November already and I will be thirty in 6 days (time to lament the passing of my misspent youth).

I have a weird and wonderful dream almost every night. And everytime I dream about the baby it is a little girl....I wonder if it is my spidey sense tellling me something Wink.

Also had my 28 week appointment yesterday and all was well and routine. Baby gave the midwife a massive kick when she was measuring my bump. Gave me the giggles as she was terribly serious.

I am doing yoga at the moment and can recommend it for general stretching and breathing exercises although every now and then she says "and this position might be comfortable in labour" as I am struggle to maintain equilibrium and not fall on my face!

BuntyCollocks · 01/11/2012 11:53

There are some decent people, brugs! I remember talking loudly about my midwife appt on the dlr when I was pregnant with DS and not one bugger offered me a seat, and it was the height of summer. Bastards.

birdies ROL = right occupit lateral. Baby is tucked up on my right side, with her back to my right hip, facing my left. She's cephalic (head down) which is about the only good thing! As DS got stuck looking sideways when I was pushing (he was crowning but it is apparently inpossible to birth that way) I'm worried that she's already looking sideways!

Everything I read last night says its a bugger to get them out of this position as well :( ESP when she's had always favoured the right side, even when breech.

The spinning babies website is great - they have 'belly mapping' which you can use to try and figure out their position from where you feel kicks and wriggles. It's spot on for her, right down to feeling her fingers wiggle just above my pelvis; apparently, that's her playing with them at her mouth!

BuntyCollocks · 01/11/2012 11:59

Fingers crossed, squealy and happy birthday for next wednesday!

I would definitely like a sneeze birth this time ...

AppleCrumples · 01/11/2012 13:07

squealy I had similar dreams that I'd had baby and it was a girl called grace last time. Thought it was just because as I alrady had 2 boys I was kind of hoping for a girl. Grace is now 4 and currently making a rocket out of loo roll! So it could be intuition :)

glad to hear there are some decent people left!

Wow mad to think some of us could have babies next month! Not me though am more likely to end up holding on til feb!

Birdies · 01/11/2012 13:10

I'll take a sneeze birth too.

I can feel what I think is a little bottom top right and little hands bottom left...which sounds suspiciously ROL too Confused

BuntyCollocks · 01/11/2012 14:05

I've decided I'm having my baby next month Grin

birdies - the belly map for ROL is here

pmgkt · 01/11/2012 15:13

Well we will see who is next. My date moved to 28th Dec so it could be me!

bealos · 01/11/2012 15:32

Had a 121 physio appointment today at hospital for lower back ache and buttock pain in the muscles. Apparently my pelvis is a bit out of line (confirms what the chiropractor said) which normally would be fine, but in pregnancy obviously everything is much softer and stretchier which is why it hurts in my arse - muscle strain!!

Anyway, she was really helpful with some other things to look out for in pregnancy. POSTURE POSTURE POSTURE (especially for those of us that sit at a computer all day):
1/ Rolling shoulders right back to compensate for boobs pulling them forwards
2/ Stretching neck to each side
3/ Sitting at work with a rolled up towel in the small of your back.
4/ Doing on-all-fours back tilts upwards (prob not for work this one)

happyhow · 01/11/2012 16:53

Just been ID'd for non-alcoholic Kopperberg in Sainsburys. When I realised I didn't have my driving licence with me, she wasn't going to sell me it. I pointed at my stomach and said "I'm 7 months pregnant and it's the non-alcoholic version..." I got my Kopperberg. Smile

How ridiculous that you need ID for that though!!

Off to order my nursery furniture now... Exciting stuff!!

Hope everyone's having a good day

Pascha · 01/11/2012 16:54

This baby is deffo on the right side but I'm getting nudges/kicks both bellybutton level and pelvis level. No idea any more if Widg is doing headstands or sitting up so hopefully at my MW appt tomorrow morning she is going to tell me Widget is head down. I demand it!

Belly mapping ahoy tomorrow afternoon Grin (i know how to have fun!)

CreepyCrawly · 01/11/2012 18:22

Just got back from my consultant appointment. Sat in the waiting room for 2 and a half hours!! All was fine, she isn't measuring too big, just the upper side of normal. The consultant said its DH's fault, due to his height 6'6". But, she's definitely a girl and she's head down which explains the cringy movements I've been getting 'down there'.

In other news, our travel system was delivered today. It's lush, totally over the moon with it. And a bargain at £199!

Hope everyone is well!
