Sunbeam18 · 29/10/2012 19:50

I'm so sorry, James. Xx

Skinnydecafflatte · 29/10/2012 20:29

Help! I am bleeding, just went to the loo and when i wiped there was a lot of blood, sorry for tmi but its a bit lumpy. I don't have any pain at the moment. Just called the maternity unit and she said that I could go to A&E or wait to go to the EPU tomorrow. My DH is out, volunteering until 11 and DS is in bed asleep. Don't know what to do.

DontmindifIdo · 29/10/2012 20:30

Skinny - so sorry. can you get hold of your DH to come home?

Skinnydecafflatte · 29/10/2012 20:40

He can, but he's a Samaritan on duty and if he comes home they will have to close the shift, you need two people on. I feel guilty as those people will really need help. Also until I figure out what I ought to do it seems pointless

Skinnydecafflatte · 29/10/2012 20:47

Oh DH has just turned up home, still not sure what we ought to do though...

Onemoreforgoodmeasure · 29/10/2012 20:48

I'm sorry James Sad, been there myself, hope you recover quickly.

Skinny, I'd say I'd struggle to prioritise in your position. What do you think your OH would do if he knew you were worried?

Onemoreforgoodmeasure · 29/10/2012 20:52

And just to add, I counted, there are nearly 50 of us on here! I'm shocked! I'm going to have to start keeping lists of who's who! As for the food posts, I've now asked OH to make toad in the hole! And tonight we had shepherds pie, or rather shepherdless pie as it was vegetarian [hwink]. I also stand by gravy being the nector of the gods. Come on ladies, give more of your food ideas I have just made a return to food today! and of course am worrying over the absence of the hellish nausea and my boobs did not scream at me when I took my bra off this evening - being pg is perverse

Sleep well ladies.

Sams4lo · 29/10/2012 20:54

James I'm so sorry to hear your news, lots of love being sent to u x

Onemoreforgoodmeasure · 29/10/2012 20:54

Skinny, if you go to A&E they should be able to book you in for the next available scan. But if you don't fancy that experience you probably aren't losing too much time by going to the epu tomorrow. It's totally up to you and what will help to ease your mind a bit.

SundaySunshine · 29/10/2012 20:58

Oh no skinny Sad. Maybe it might be better to wait for tomorrow and then you could perhaps sort out some childcare for your ds? (easier said then done I'm sure). These things always seem to happen at very inconvenient times, making a bad situation worse. Wishing you luck what ever you do x

James really sorry to hear your sad news too Sad. Hope you have lots of people on hand to look after you. Take time to recover at your own speed and good luck for the future x

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 21:01

skinny are you still bleeding? If its slowed down I'd be tempted to wait A&E isn't a nice place to be stuck round waiting, unless your still bleeding and bleeding heavily

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 21:03

onemore crazy mad for pickled onion monster munch, in fact crisps of all flavours!! And biggest pizza you've ever seen, although I could only eat a couple of slices!!! And i feel the old sickness hanging round the corner, so pretty sure I'm going to retaste that pizza shortly!!! BOAK!!!

Onemoreforgoodmeasure · 29/10/2012 21:07

Checking in before singing off. Good luck Skinny.

Spooky, [hgrin] I've not been able to be near a crisp since hours before nausea began 3/4 weeks ago. At that time I over did it and spent an evening holding on for dear life as I hate am terrified following a choking incident vomiting! I seem to be totally up for old fashioned heavy stodge though. Although pizza, hmmm, yes. Thanks!

pinkapples · 29/10/2012 21:16

Oh my goodness little 20 weeks that must have been awful so sorry fingers crossed this time then, do you have a scan booked?

So sorry James take care of yourself

Skinnydecafflatte · 29/10/2012 21:18

Ok it's seems to be slowing down at the moment. Still no pain. Will try and get sleep but definitely not going to work tomorrow as I shall be heading to EPU. If this is the end, I'd rather know sooner rather than later. Thanks for being there for me.
Sorry to hear your new james I hope you get good news again soon.

Sunbeam18 · 29/10/2012 21:24

Thinking of you, Skinny. Try not to panic (easier said than done, I'm sure). X

ExpatMamaToBe · 29/10/2012 21:46

I'm so sorry james Sad
skinny, thinking of you!

SpookySparkle · 30/10/2012 06:22

Good luck skinny

Skinnydecafflatte · 30/10/2012 07:08

Thanks guys, not the best nights sleep cos of worry. Bleeding virtually stopped and no pain but I can't help but worry. EPU opens at nine so I shall be banging their door down then. Fingers crossed.

PseudoBadger · 30/10/2012 07:10

Best of luck Skinny x

Dillydollydaydream · 30/10/2012 07:16

All the best skinny

fishface2 · 30/10/2012 07:48

Good luck skinny!

Can I join please? I'm 5 +2 with dc2 and due on the 30th June. For my booking in appt. nov 19th. I feel ok. A little bit groggy and tired but that's it. Hope it stays this way!

nannyl · 30/10/2012 09:04

Hello

Im 6+1 and feeling awful

I had hyperemisis last time and can feel myself heading the same way this time Sad

off to look for a nursery for 13m DD today, because if im the same as last time there is NO WAY i will be able to care for her.

Went to Dr yesturday who will not prescribe me the sickness tablets i depended on for my whole last pregnancy, because i dont have HG yet.... still just MS.... I need to get HG (Ie properly dehydrate) before she is prepared to "risk my baby", and prescribe something for a condition i dont yet have.

i do see her point, i really do BUT last time, by the time i was ill enough to be allowed them i was too ill too keep them down and ended up in hospital

Sunbeam18 · 30/10/2012 10:20

Oh Nanny, that sounds so awful. I'm sorry to hear it.

Any news yet, Skinny? Thinking of you x

DontmindifIdo · 30/10/2012 11:56

Skinny - I hope it's not bad news, I know the emergancy scanning waiting room is the most depressing place I've ever been, try to stay positive until you have solid news.

Does anyone know how bad egg mayo sandwiches are? I needed one this morning, however am aware they are on the banned list...
