Hi all, oli I'm with you on feeling yuck and being a moany boring cow who just wants to lie around and sleep.

sams4lo the nevasic thing looks really interesting, thanks for sharing - do you really think it helps?

sunnyL have you talked to the doctor about going to Kenya? I remember mine being pretty negative about travel to the developing world in the first trimester - not that lots of ladies don't have successful pregnancies (including friends of mine) but it might be a risk if it's a shock to your system. Much easier in 2nd trimester!

Well I woke up on Sunday with a bump! Reckon my womb has popped out or whatever it does (someone medical please correct me) as there's a real difference compared to how I looked on Saturday! I haven't put on any weight so it's not that. It seems early (just under 9 weeks) and I'm wondering how I'm going to keep things quiet until my 12 week scan on 23 Nov - last time I didn't tell people until about 15 weeks (waiting for amnio results) but I guess the muscles give way more easily second time round!

dreamydays · 29/10/2012 13:01

PS hi monal just seen your post, glad you've found a clinic that you're happy with :)

DontmindifIdo · 29/10/2012 13:28

SunnyL - I would talk to your doctor about it. Also, I would tell HR about your pregnancy, while you are entitled to keep it quiet for a bit longer, you might be better off telling them so they can do a H&S assessment. They might think it best not to send you.

Sooo feeling icky this weekend, I have found the solution is yorkshire puddings with gravy, lots of Spag Bol and salt and vinegar squares (not on the same plate, yet). I will be huge by the time this one arrives...

Scan on Saturday, really nervous about it.

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 14:06

Dontmindifido funny you should say that because hubby did toad in the hole yesterday and I was convinced it'd stodgey and I'd bring it all back up, but I gobbled the whole thing right down Smile only a little bit came back up. And crisps, oh my god, I just cant get enough

HowAnnoying · 29/10/2012 14:29

Hi all, I felt awful all weekend, spent much of it in bed, only really surfaced to watch strictly! Got DP to buy me some sea bands last night and do feel better today, not sure if it's the bands or just coincidence.

DontmindifIdo · 29/10/2012 14:37

Toad in the hole!! That sounds fantastic! Must make that for dinner.

Dillydollydaydream · 29/10/2012 14:54

Hmm I could eat toad in the hole too, mmm all that soggy, gravy soaked batter!

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 15:19

Do you think it would be bad if I had it again for tea tonight? I had mustard gravy too, I'm pretty sure gravy is actually the nectar of the gods!!!

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 15:20

Howannoying are you managing to eat anything? I think if you're bed bound you really should speak to your dr. also what remedies are you trying? yuo need to find something to perk your energy levels up

SunnyL · 29/10/2012 15:39

Thanks for advice re. travel. Unfortunately as i work for a company specialising in aid programmes in deveoping countries avoiding travel is a little tricky. The doctors are doing that thing where they give you all the information but letting me make the final choice. I'm not exactly in the best place to make decisions like this!

Little9 · 29/10/2012 18:03

Hello all. Am now 6+4. I am also absolutely knackered all the time and asleep by 9/10pm (am not normally even thinking of bedtime until at least 12pm!). Boobs have started to really hurt today.

pinkapples - great news on the scan. Were we on the Nov 12 thread together? I seem to recognise your name??!!

Just got the date through for my 12 week scan. Will be 7th December. Was hoping I might get one before then just to check all ok due to two previous mcs but not sure what is happening. Dr said I need to wait for consultant to contact me so am guessing I will have the booking in appt with him instead of midwife - who knows??!! Just hope all is well.

pinkapples · 29/10/2012 18:17

Yea think so that one ended in miscarriage sadly but back on the bus now!

Just fell down the stairs MUPPET not on my belly so that's good I'm just getting ready now for dinner with hubby Grin

Little9 · 29/10/2012 18:32

Careful pink. Hope ur ok. I also miscarried in June at 20 weeks sadly so am bricking it for this one. FX for both of us (and everyone else on here).

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 19:05

pink I'm forever falling down the stairs, haven't since finding out about the pregnancy!! Few!!!

Take away pizza went down like a treat! Husband now under the impression that because I'm being so sick he'll let me eat whatever I fancy!! I shall try not to take advantage of it!!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 29/10/2012 19:19

Hi all, unfortunately the pain wasn't a urine infection, I've lost it, can someone take me off the list please? I'm on my phone.

Wishing you all happy healthy pregnancies xxx Smile

Sarah2506 · 29/10/2012 19:23

Hello! Is it too late to join? So many messages out there already. I'm 7 weeks today, have had an anxious pregnancy so far. My Dad died a couple of months ago and I'm very anxious about the pregnancy - I don't think I could manage any more loss this year. Baby is due on fathers day - 16th June. A nice sign I think? I've not had too much sickness, it's bad when I travel to work but tends to lift when I'm there. Sleep has been awful, much tossing and turning though I think that's a lot to do with the being anxious. My biggest worry at the moment is the cramps I get. This is my first pregnancy, I have no idea what's normal but I get really bad cramps once a day, sometimes makes you lie down and just breathe until its gone, really takes over! Then milder cramps occasionally through the day. No bleeding though. I understand 'mild' cramps are normal but never know what that means! I have a scan booked for 8+1. Will no doubt worry myself sick up till then... Anyway, that's me. Over anxious with maybe no reason. Wanted to share with you as can't talk to anyone, especially my mum, as don't want to get her hopes up. Feel slightly unhinged!

xx

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 19:24

james I'm so very sorry to hear your news!! Be kind to yourself

Dillydollydaydream · 29/10/2012 19:29

So sorry to hear about your mc james all the best x

Lyftiduft · 29/10/2012 19:31

James, just read your other thread :( Take care of yourself, sending you positive sticky vibes for next time (been there) x

MummyInHeels · 29/10/2012 19:39

Sarah2506 I'm so sorry to hear about the tough time you've had and so sorry about the loss of your father. I think your baby being due on Father's Day is most definetely a very good omen!
Just to pick up on what you were saying about the cramps, I too am absolutely terrified by the slightest twinge. I said in my last post that I'm 'just trying to enjoy my pregnancy', but in truth, I'm becoming a bit of a nervous wreck, which in turn is causing me stress which can't be good for my little one! I also said I'd had no symptoms yet and truth be told, I wish I did have because then at least I'd be sure I was still pregnant - does that make sense to anyone?
Like all you mums, I absolutely love and cherish this baby already and I'm only 5 weeks + 5 days. I've got to find a way of trusting my body, I know but it would be really helpful if I knew I wasn't the only one? I had tummy ache all last night and this morning, but then woke up with - ahem, an 'off' tummy today, so hopefully the pains were just that! I've had a little bit of pain in my lower back, but I wouldn't describe it as 'cramping' in any way - maybe about a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Its just more noticeable cause I'm analysing every twinge I think!
So, Sarah - I completely sympathise!
xxx

PseudoBadger · 29/10/2012 19:41

Oh James I'm so sorry xx

DontmindifIdo · 29/10/2012 19:42

James so sorry to hear your news. take care of yourself. Take some time to recover.

MummyInHeels · 29/10/2012 19:43

Just read the msgs above mine. James, I am so deeply sorry. Take care xxx

SpookySparkle · 29/10/2012 19:44

sarah and mummy I spoke to my doctor the other day, I'd been having a bit of cramping, she explained that if its higher up its more likely stomach/digestion related, if its lower and causing you pain then get yourself checked out!

MummyInHeels · 29/10/2012 19:49

Thanks Spooky, that's quite reasuuring. The stomach ache was certainley high up and the lower back pain isn't really causing me much problems, but I am keeping a close eye on it. If I get anymore tomorrow I'm going in for a check up xxx
