Little9 · 21/10/2012 08:50

Hello to all the new ladies. Waves to everyone else. :) Just adding Moobs (love the name!). Not much to report this end. Feel a bit like you Dont, with feeling groggy without the fun of the night out. No major symptoms yet, (good thing?) but then I am only 5+3. Seems forever to the 12 week scan. Need to get a new mattress for our bed as both me and DH are getting bad backs and arms going to sleep whilst we're trying to sleep. Take care everyone

Hi yet more new folks, looks like June is going to be a very busy month for babies! Smile

SundaySunshine no fizz is meant to mean a girl, We'll have to refer back to this thread next year to see if it's accurate or not!

Is anyone else going to find out the sex at the 20 week scan? Presuming I'm lucky enough to get that far I definitely will, far too nosey not to! Grin

Jeff I would have been gutted about the brownie and coffee icecream too you should have posted it to me Going off coffee is a surefire pg symptom for me, hasn't happened yet thank god, I need my caffeine kickstart in the morning.

Little9 I know what you meant about the dreams, I'm having them all night long and most of them are horrible anxiety dreams, not necessarily about the baby, just everything. I even dreamt that I bought dp a session with a hooker (as you do) last night as I wasn't able to have sex with him Hmm (my dp would be horrified!) Grin

Badger no there's nothing to be done for cervical erosion whilst pregnant, they can treat it afterwards though if necessary.

Scruffy I'm sure you'll be fine, sounds like a much deserved and long awaited baby!

Still not many symptoms here either, they say the hormones peak at about 9 or 10 weeks so I'm sure by then we'll be retching all over the place. What a lovely thought! Grin

Squidge123 · 21/10/2012 11:56

I'm going to have a surprise this time, I had a surprise with dd and I found out with ds( after 10 scans was hard not too!!) but am going resist this time, does mean I can't buy pram till after baby is born as which colour I buy will depend on what i have! Hope everyone having lovely weekend x

Peka · 21/10/2012 12:55

Hi, I'm due 1st June and just saying hi and writing for a whinge as I FEEL SO SICK! And now have to do a skype tutorial - bleurgh. I can't tell anyone yet and am feeling so sorry for myself

Little9 · 21/10/2012 15:20

Grin at your dream james.

We've just bought a new bed and mattress and it's being delivered on Tuesday. Very impressed and can't wait.

Hi Peka and keep yours up (did you see what I did there, lol!!) :) I'm also now feeling rather nauseous. Not enough to actually bring my lovely carvery dinner back up but just.... bleurgh! It didn't put me off eating dinner either thankfully!

Jeff - it is a sad, sad day. I too have gone off chocolate. Shock Oh, the horror of it!! My DH is quite pleased though as it means he actually has a chance of tasting some!! Normally, if there is chocolate in the house its mine!!! Blush

Peka · 21/10/2012 16:01

Hi Little9 oh yes - well done! Have found the one food in the house that doesn't make me want to puke all over myself - some marzipan chocolate I was saving for Xmas - oh well, down the hatch (fingers crossed it stays there)

dreamydays · 21/10/2012 16:26

Just catching up after a few days away.

Hello Sunday! Very sorry to hear about your loss in July, it must have been after I fell off the bus. Fingers crossed all goes well for you this time.

And congrats James! glad to hear the good news, although sorry about the erosion - it sounds no fun. Sorry eddie about the unfriendly scan, it's so not what you need at this sensitive time, but glad to hear all's ok.

There seem to be a lot more people feeling rough than a few days ago. Isn't it grim. I find that the more I eat the less bad I feel, but I don't want to end up the size of a house. At the moment all I can think of is spicy Chinese noodles.

I'm also with those like dontsweat having problems sleeping. I find I wake up to pee around 2am then lie awake for a couple of hours.

But at least the countdown to 12 weeks is moving on!

SundaySunshine · 21/10/2012 16:36

Hi all,
Ah a girl, yay!! I've got a 3 yo dd already, but I wouldn't mind another one at all Smile also, I've got a whole raft of names for girls but nothing for boys. Probably shouldn't be thinking about names this early on, but I can't help myself. I'm definitely going to find out (fingers and toes crossed, touch wood etc etc, if I get that far). It would drive me mad not knowing.

No real symptoms here yet, though sense of smell seems to be on overdrive. Still managing to have a un healthy appetite for cakes and supper sweet coffee, which is a relief.

Gonna try and get a dr ap tomorrow , just so I'm on the system and see if I can wangle an early scan. I'm still poas regularly good to see the line getting gradually darker. Is anyone else still checking, or is it just me?

Hope everyone's having a good day Smile

preggersbycheggers · 21/10/2012 17:28

Super bleurgh here today.

Gone off coffee and chocolate too. And also just fancy noodles! Remember having a passion for all things bread and pasta when pregnant with DS.

Will defo find out sex as then I know whether to keep DS clothes or get rid. Also DH wants to know.

Feel burnt out and struggling right now :(

dreamydays · 21/10/2012 17:34

Preggers I am about to order a Chinese - I'll get some virtual noodles for you too! Anyone else?

Peka · 21/10/2012 17:45

Preggers am so with you there. List of things I can eat without wanting to run to the bathroom currently runs to: dark chocolate, marzipan, ginger, chilli (wondering what I can make for that?). Recently had to refrain from posting on an AIBU thread because OP's name was 'Dolcelatte' - actually gagging as I write that.

MadameJ · 21/10/2012 19:56

Evening ladies, well after posting on Friday about feeling really poorly, this weekend I have felt "Normal" and if I am honest I have being quite worried about it, may even have to poas again tomorrow as I am feeling positively unpregnant (if thats even a word???)

I also have another dilema, my best friend has just set her date for her wedding (for which I am matron of honour) and it happens to be the day after my due date even though she bloody knew!!!!!!, she is being very blase about it saying "it will be fine etc", but how on earth can it be??

JeffActually · 21/10/2012 20:36

Right!
I am trying the chocolate brownie and ice cream again. DH waiting patiently to see if he gets to finish it off again Grin

Sunbeam18 · 21/10/2012 22:13

Hi! Would someone mind adding me as I can't seem to do it myself on my phone! I'm 5+1, and think due date is 23 June. It's my first. Thank you! Exciting!

caspergirl · 21/10/2012 22:31

Hello everyone. Am due on June 17th with 1st baby. Can hardly believe it but feeling fine most of the time, so it's a bit difficult to actually believe!!! How slowly does this first bit go?!!! Days are DRAGGING!! I think I am going to have an early scan, as I can't wait for 12 weeks. Is anyone else thinking about doing the same?

PseudoBadger · 21/10/2012 23:08

Just told my parents - I was absolutely petrified even though its dc2 :o

PseudoBadger · 22/10/2012 00:04

Oh dear I've just had to eat some of the crackers that are by my bed for the morning nausea - I was lying in bed feeling queasy, it seems to have worked....

Little9 · 22/10/2012 07:49

Morning all. Only one more sleep until new bed arrives (not that I am at all excited about it!). Adding Sun and Casper:

Jeff - how did the brownie go? Was your DH disappointed?

Madame - how niggly is that? If she knew the date then she'll have to deal with it if little one comes on time! Not nice for you though. I'm a bit like you. Most of the time feeling "normal" and worrying about the lack of symptoms. If I do get any, they're only "ever so slightly" iyswim - boobs ever so slightly tender, feeling ever so slightly sick! I'd also be moaning if I was barfing for England and couldn't bear to touch my boobs so can't win Blush. Trying not to over analyse it as still only early days (5+4).

Hoping that consultant will give me an early scan due to history but may consider a private one if not. Won't be finding out sex if I get that far as just want a healthy (live) baby at the end of it so really not bothered would like a girl! Wink

Hope everyone has a good day. I'm actually going to be at work early for a change today as my wonderful DH has offered to walk the dogs as he won't be working for a few hours (has his own gardening business) as it's pouring with rain. Hurrah! Grin

ExpatMamaToBe · 22/10/2012 08:12

Hi, I've been away for a few days so trying to catch up quickly... great to see all the good news and hear that most of ladies are feeling pretty well - myself included, no MS yet (5+6 today).

I was away with DH, our first trip while pg (booked a couple of months ago), he was so sweet to carry and lift my bag all the time and it was only a hand luggage. We also had a bit of a scare, ended up on a bumpy road and I was terrified that something bad might have happened. But I kept checking for any unusual symptoms or bleeding and there was nothing like that so fx. No more bumpy roads for me, that's for sure.

So how are we standing on the facebook group? Have I missed anything on that? I had a quick look, to set it up one has to add members to it right at the beginning, along with setting a name up. So what about... if you're still up for it... whoever's interested sends me a private message, I send you back my name, you find me and add me on FB, I create a group and add everybody?

Let me know what you think and fx for another smooth and happy week for everybody Smile

3littlewomen · 22/10/2012 08:13

Hi there ladies.... Lying in bed struggling to get up, have to get 4 DC up and into uniform without vomiting (eldest DD would be very perceptive and any unexplained morning sickness would cause her to wonder). DH being very attentive re cups of tea in the morning, though he does not really register we we are having a weenie until it starts kicking him in the back as he try's to sleep (and I am awake moaning and groaning watching the birth channel at 3 am)

best of luck with new bed little9, can't think of a nicer purchase at the beginning of this 9 months. Make sure you get lots of nice new pillows too - have already started to steal DH pillows to make myself comfortable.

Am off to my lovely GP today, excited to be able to tell someone. My baby is nearly 6, so I have kinda forgotten the routine of scans etc. I will be booking in at usual hospital, with usual obs so should get back into the swing of it! I don't think the GP will be surprised (or anyone intact). When baby started school in September everyone has being commenting how strange to see me without a little one (first time in 15 years I was home alone).

I am hoping all will go well - am 40 so think I shall book in for a nuchal test. Had an amino with DC 1 (only one born in UK), after very worrying blood test results. It was a case of finding out what was wrong with him.... He is perfect Grin, but it was so stressful!

olimoss · 22/10/2012 08:48

welcome to all the new people - what was going on in September for you all that we are now having a June rush on babies?!?!

am afraid to say that my previous 2-3hrs of dodgy nausea has unhelpfully extended to being all day. not actually being ill, though I think I got close when doing a session with my trainer at the gym last week - serves him right!

waiting to hear from the hospital about my booking in appt with the midwife - it's two weeks since I saw the GP - do you think I should give them a ring?

finally wanted to ask - i have a notoriously sweet tooth in 'normal' life and it's utterly disappeared, to the extent that the thought of chocolate or doughnuts or sweets of any kind makes me urgh.....is there an old wives' tale about what that means?

good luck to all, hope you're not suffering too much....

PseudoBadger · 22/10/2012 09:02

I tend to favour savoury foods when pregnant - my first dc is a boy but not sure if that fits with any old wives tale? Last time I survived on hula hoops for 16 weeks :o

This morning I have been trying to call the maternity hospital - I need to sign up for a place. I am in France and apparently in the region they are frequently booked out even as early as this. However, I don't know how because I can't get them on any of the three phone numbers listed. I've been trying since Friday. I emailed them on Friday morning as well but I haven't had so much as an automatic response. I'm going to have to take a day off work and go in there, amn't I :(

dreamydays · 22/10/2012 10:36

I have taken the day off sick with a rotten cold, but tbh the nausea is the worse problem. It feels so so good to be still in bed and without DD jumping about the place.

monal I am also in France, my first (hopefully) full pregnancy here. I don't know anything about the system, just relying on my gyn until I can talk to French friends in a few weeks. I have no idea where I would go for the birth. Do you know if it's common for hospitals to get booked out this early? It seems crazy! Any tips or links very welcome.

oli I also lose my usual sweet tooth while pregnant. My chocolate addiction's been replaced by other evils such as crisps, chips...we can't get Hula Hoops here but wish I could!
